Awesome work. I think we need to find a way to add lacrosse recaps and stuff in. Gifs tend to work better, that way you can see the pre-goal movement both offensive and defensive, but that is really going to stretch your upload size!
I used to play and coach lacrosse at the college level, your recaps are spot on with what happened in the game.
I can not be the only one that thinks a remake of the 2009 hype video, with all the clips from 2008-2020 in black and white and then 2021-2024 in color, with the exact same song, would get a billion views on youtube... just on my own computer.
You know it’s funny, I used to start this diary with the disclaimer
“war is not football and football is not war, but having done both sometimes these look alike”
But then after two years of doing them I stopped because no one had “football isn’t real war dude” ‘ed me. It’s fine. Maybe I’ll start doing it again
and the landing at Inchon towards the end of the fighting at Pusan forced the KPA that had been shattered on the rocks at Pusan into a route. Had they landed at Pusan they could have counter attacked from there, but the defense enabled the offense.
The US bent the rules on ship size, but didn’t reinforce or expand their bases in the pacific. It made their position in Dec of 1941 untenable.
Britain did abide by the rules for a large part although the Hood was 20 years old and Bismarck brand new. Unfortunately for the British they made out the best in the treaty so they thought, but continued to rely on their battleships instead of innovating for a new war. In addition to the Hood they also lost the brand new HMS Prince of Wales to Japanese aircraft while it operated unsupported.
Your fictional Captain Stallions is neither an expert at IPB, HUMINT, SIGINT, MDMP, COA Analysis, Risk Assessments, or Running Assets.
He signed off on risks that were far above his level to sign off on and had he been under my command, he would have been tied to the mast long since.
He took massive risks with limited return on the risk.
He is the very definition of the Strategic Corporal.... a low ranking troop who does something so incredibly stupid it has strategic level impact far above what should be his ability to impact events.
Just think, had the Eastern Empire survived another few years, they could have boarded their greek born roman butts on ships and sailed to the new world!

Was rough out of Hobby, had intended to drive back to dallas and fly out but that was just as rough. But still, felt no pain.
The hardest part of this to read was that Zoltan punted all the way back in 2008....
Loved the rest of it in its entirety
The British conquered Washington DC once, doesn’t make it a British city today.
Also,…
I love this story.
Also, in the Army we say we "acquire" things, we never "steal" them... Either way I'm sure you earned it.
I'm glad you got it!
I definitely kept it together 100% of the time while I wrote this on the plane after a handful of celebratory plane whiskeys

Me: unreasonably depressed in a Cats in the Cradle kind of way to know the Ypsi-Arbor bowl closed…
Interviewer: Did you ever go there
Me: God no
Seth: Buy the Tshirt?
Me: Make more Jug shirts
Sorry, forgot my disclaimer:
War is not football and football is not war, but having done both, sometimes they look alike.
Michigan kicked the game winner on their first drive in the first quarter
It was two girls and their favorite cup… wasn’t it?
This is a pure Michigan fan mgoblog post. 10/10
This game was great… I dropped five pounds from all the sweating and pacing
This isn’t looking good
Donated. Good luck Steve!

I had no idea the raiders were even the other team
Yeah they certainly bent the rules on the ship sizes, but not where it mattered most.
