We sure do miss Mike Morris, loyal and true blue. He could have easily transferred before '21 when he saw he wasn't going to be a starter but stuck it out and it payed off for him and Michigan.

I'll always root for him and his sister!

As for whiny Ryan Day? What a baby, seems pretty sensitive for a guy with such a great record that we keep getting reminded about.

To whom much is given, much is expected. It’s becoming clear that Day has neither the spine nor temperament to deal with the pressure and adversity of the job when not coasting to B1G titles.

The 2 UM losses and media chatter are in his head, suggesting the softness of his teams is very much a reflection of who Born on 3rd Day is as a coach.

3rd base inherited the best situation in CFB since Coker at MIAMI.  Coker won a National title, then recruiting tanked as the SEC and UF in particular took over the state, and Miami hasn’t been the same since. Hoping for the same for OSU, but unfortunately, they have been the 1 consistent northern football power over the past 50 years.  Knowing their luck, they poach Vrabel next…and trust me, those teams won’t have toughness issues.

I think Mike is correct. In addition, IMO the national sports press has been extremely good to OSU over the years. They get the benefit of the doubt way more often than not.

It's always a little obnoxious when people who are treated with the kiddest of kid gloves behave this way (Ohio Against the World, Blue Wall). I always wonder if it's a delusion or just playing the media game because everybody on the outside looking in can see through it.

Well don't let facts get in the way of a good Buckeye psychotic rant. Clearly the man knew what would happen from his own base had they lost. So it's ohio against ohio?

Coach Third Base reminds me of a quote by Tony Soprano talking about his demanding mother: “she’s got a Virginia ham under each arm and she’s crying because she’s got no bread.”

It really is amazing how true this is.  He jumped from job to job every year as a position coach, mostly QB, over 20 years except for a couple of stints at BC.  1 year at every stop!!!

He becomes Ohio’s QB/OC after his year at SF when Kelly was fired at the SF Niners.  Then he lucks in to HC after 2 years and ends up on 3rd base when Urban was fired.

Every other top ten head coach had to work their way up the system and prove themselves at every level.

Holtz just speaking the truth. They’re weak af. That’s literally what Morris was yelling at the end of last year’s game: “Ya’ll Weak As F***” caught on TV. We’ve all been saying it. Holtz said it. I mean, has to be pretty true. If they were tough, they’d go out there and show it. But they’re still soft. It’s really easy to shut that talk down: go out and be vicious. Push people around. But we don’t SEE that - we hear it from a whining baby that barely snuck by a mediocre team. Real tough.

"But we don't SEE that - we hear it from a whining baby"

I know there's still some trash-talking before the games themselves now. I'm not trying to paint anyone as a saint. But there seemed to be one contrast between these past two/three years of Michigan teams compared to a couple that came before them: not running their mouths before games are played. And there also seemed to be a lack of unity between teammates in the years before the last two OSU ass whupping teams. These past two/three years have seen a unity between teammates and players speaking the truth instead of running their mouths obnoxiously.

At least that's how it seems to me.

Also, as I pointed out elsewhere, the the OSU football program has demonized Michigan for years, refusing to name the school or the state, and striking out the "m" in their messages.

I for one believe that Ryan Day should get his wish, that it should in fact be Ohio against the World.  Build a wall around the state, shun the cooler poopers, and let the entire rest of Universe come together and laugh at any misfortune suffered by the Ohio State football team no matter how slight.

you tell him. that was my thought too. everyone against you? bro.. you're riding the coattails of 20 years of dominance..

can't wait until Hal Steinbrenner says next year... EVERYONE DOUBTED US... THEY ALWAYS THINK THE YANKEES WILL NEVER WIN, BUT WE'LL SHOW THEM. After he inflates his payroll to 500M. Ok bro.

Toughest guys are the ones who tell you they're the toughest. I love that he did this.. tells me that all the "soft" talk got to him. I didn't want them to win, but I'm glad they did, so we can hopefully destroy their lives again this November... though I do think Penn State is gonna at least beat OSU or UM... and i pray its OSU

This has been my entire thought after always hearing Ohio vs The World.  Besides Alabama (which everybody would say is warranted with their success) Ohio State is the only other team that has been gifted a spot in the college football playoffs twice without even winning their division let alone the conference championship. Yeah, it sounds like it is Ohio vs common sense!

Not to mention they clearly have the NCAA, the Big Ten conference -- and the CFP committee, as someone just posted -- on their side. A privilege that Michigan, especially Harbaugh's Michigan, does not enjoy.

Ohio State and its fans have become accustomed to being babied by the media for the past two decades, so it's understandable that they'd lose their minds over the smallest bit of criticism.

Spoiled brats.

If OSU loses prior to The Game, Day and Co. will have no one to blame except themselves.

OSU vs. Everybody? Nah. A more accurate t-shirt slogan should be OSU vs. Lofty expectations we’ve yet to reach since our domestic abuse-enabling coach left while getting ass-blasted by our rivals 2 years in a row and sneaking into the CFP based on the failures of other teams.

It’d need to be a large shirt obviously but I’m guessing they’d sell well with the overweight truck drivers in Ohio. Just guessing…

I don't get it either.  They are always ranked high.  They have great recruits.  And they haven't had a losing season since the 60s...

ND hasn't beaten OSU in nearly 100 years!!!
