and hey, hat tip to CJ stroud who is the QB throwing it to him. the kid is having a very good rookie season and might be the only ohio QB since creation that is actually (or is going to be) a good NFL QB. taking away the ohio thing, he seems like a really good kid and i can't help but wish him well.

Since Burrow
October 2nd, 2023 at 6:43 AM ^
i know you're kidding, burrow had a cup of coffee and a handful of passes and was out of there. had he stayed, who knows.
October 2nd, 2023 at 8:03 AM ^
I certainly loved his last two performances versus Michigan. No animosity towards him.
October 2nd, 2023 at 10:26 AM ^
Hey - he was SUCCESSFUL in Columbus, darn it!!! And tough. Probably tough, too...
October 2nd, 2023 at 9:16 AM ^
He has a really remarkable story. His family was living in a storage rental unit at one point in time. Can't help but root for the kid to succeed.
October 2nd, 2023 at 9:21 AM ^
That explains why he chose Columbus over Ann Arbor. /s
No ill will towards the guy given he was 0-2.
October 2nd, 2023 at 12:39 PM ^
I am glad I did not know this until now. Overcoming that kind of personal adversity really goes against the "soft" criticism. Hopefully Kyle McCord grew up in a house.
October 2nd, 2023 at 11:25 AM ^
Yep: Really good dude who's been through hell in his personal life, a great QB, and will always be 0-2 vs Michigan. An ideal scenario, really.
(Well, almost. I'd rather OSU QBs have excellent upbringings in safe homes with all their needs met and be 0-4 vs Michigan)

Is "Pgh" an known abbreviation for Pittsburgh? You could have given me hours and offered me Nico's game check, I'm not sure I ever would have guessed that.
October 1st, 2023 at 11:26 PM ^
The first word that popped up in my head when I saw Pgh was Pugh. I don't know what or who Pugh is.
October 2nd, 2023 at 1:04 AM ^
An actress?
October 2nd, 2023 at 9:06 AM ^
Who doesn't know Pugh?
October 2nd, 2023 at 11:49 AM ^
Mallory Swanson (USWNT) used to be Pugh. That's my first thought of a Pugh.
October 2nd, 2023 at 7:58 AM ^
no, it’s not.
October 2nd, 2023 at 8:57 AM ^
Yes in Pittsburgh itself they use it a lot
October 2nd, 2023 at 9:13 AM ^
Doing a little googling, it seems that "PGH" is pretty commonly known if you're from the region (i.e., SW Pennsylvania - maybe all of PA? I don't know, I'm not from there). If you're not, it's probably not familiar to you and you'd more likely understand the abbreviation to be PIT, as in the airport abbreviation.
October 2nd, 2023 at 9:17 AM ^
I've lived in SE Michigan my whole live and I immediately knew it. I mean what else could he be referring to when it's read in context?
October 2nd, 2023 at 9:51 AM ^
I mean, it's not hard to figure out what it means in context, but you didn't think, "That's a weird abbreviation" like the rest of us?
October 2nd, 2023 at 11:23 AM ^
Not even for a second.
October 2nd, 2023 at 9:45 AM ^
IKR why not just Pitt?
October 2nd, 2023 at 12:14 PM ^
Lol people from Pittsburgh would have a fit reading this thread. Not only is Pgh a very common abbreviation, but they hate when people call the city Pitt (they only refer to the school as Pitt)
This entire thread is equivalent to a bunch of Pitt fans being like "A2???? Is that a known abbreviation for Ann Arbor? No one uses that, just say Michigan University instead so we know what you're talking about"

He's done so much more under less hype than DPJ.
October 1st, 2023 at 11:21 PM ^
It's not actually that different.

"Pgh" is reallllly ridiculous there sir or madame.

Someone put the MCLEAST amount of effort into this post.
October 1st, 2023 at 11:36 PM ^
Had zero clue what "Pgh" was. I thought it was a corner's initials or something.
October 1st, 2023 at 11:45 PM ^
I assumed OP was having a stroke or something.
October 2nd, 2023 at 12:03 AM ^
It's an abbreviation for Covfefe.
October 2nd, 2023 at 6:46 AM ^
We found GoJ's burner account.
October 2nd, 2023 at 12:21 AM ^
Is that a promotional link to your Michigan fan insta?
October 2nd, 2023 at 12:46 AM ^
Is PGH short for Indiana? That happened quite a while ago.
October 2nd, 2023 at 1:41 AM ^
2020 was an asterisks for all intents and purposes. I wonder how things would’ve been had he stayed. MSU would’ve been a win. Indiana would’ve still been a loss though.
October 2nd, 2023 at 8:52 AM ^
Please, "all intensive purposes."

FFS that will give you a seizure.
October 2nd, 2023 at 7:50 AM ^
I don't know if there is a character limit, but I promise, you weren't close to it.
"Steelers" is 5 more letters.
October 2nd, 2023 at 8:02 AM ^
Throw it to Nico!
October 2nd, 2023 at 8:14 AM ^
Pgh is like A2 only different.
October 2nd, 2023 at 9:15 AM ^
Pretty sure our equivalent would be AOR. Obviously.
October 2nd, 2023 at 11:03 AM ^
Here is where I confess to being old enough to remember AOR (album oriented rock) being part of the lexicon. Sigh.
October 2nd, 2023 at 1:31 PM ^
Dude, it's okay. We'll never think of you as old, just as "young at heart"...just kidding, ya old fart.
October 2nd, 2023 at 5:51 PM ^
You should write Hallmark cards lol
October 2nd, 2023 at 8:36 AM ^
In the OPs defense.... Pbh is pretty common in PA.
October 2nd, 2023 at 8:54 AM ^
Watched a little bit of him, catching passes from Stroud. Honestly, Stroud is pretty good - which we should be happy about. It means we beat OSU, by a lot, twice, when they were in a best-case situation for themselves (hyper-accurate qb, amazing receivers).
