the just released schedules were a flat-out statement that the B10 doesn't believe SOS will matter in playoff selection

Did I miss who won it? I read through twice. I don't meant to beg, but, well, actually, that is exactly what I mean to do. If I ever win one, I can die a happy man. I (heart) MGoBlog |

We lost the first 3 to Penn state, which had a bye week before their game with us, for the first four years of the series. We won the 1,000th game in Penn state history, at Happy Valley. Highlight was stopping them 4 straight on first and goal. Somewhere in there, he said: This is Michigan, and you'd better tend to your knitting." |

| 3 weeks 5 days ago | early arrival v drinking |
I have sat near the top of the stadium for years and like that view. If arriving earlier for the game is a problem for you because it cuts into your drinking time, your issue is not your view of the game. |

We need a shot of the shoes so we can see if the ring does, indeed, match.

Yes, my first live action, after the football today. We did have two runners picked off, and left lots on base, but a win is a win. |

Sam Webb said on radio pre-game that he has been here at lease once a month working on the playbook, but, NOT an early enrollee. Still in HS. |

All college degrees are not created equal, especially for athletes across DI hoop programs. Is that underwater basket weaving degree worth, how many NBA years? Not sure how you can account for the actual value of the different degrees as a variable. There was a recent post on all the UM grads playing in Europe. Young, traveling, making good money. And with a degree. Agents have little to lose by pushing players to declare. There are only the 60 guys who get drafted, the agent get better odds of having a client drafted if he gets 20 to jump than 10, and ten is better than five. But if 120 declare, or 60, only 60 are getting drafted, so the risk is on the players' side, and the advice comes from the guy with no financial risk. It is very difficult not to believe someone telling you how good you are, at something you have worked all your life to be good at. |

| 5 weeks 4 days ago | I will bore you - |
with diary on this topic later. For now, both my daughters started watching games in utero. #1 has three degrees from UM and works on fixing Detroit. #2 loves horses, so degree in equine science from U. Kentucky. Lloyd Carr was the third most influential adult in their lives, after Mom and Dad. Not just watching the games but attending the football busts and hearing the seniors describe their experience. Brady continues the tradition, and John Beilen is a great coach and a better man. We are blessed with great leaders who run programs that can inspire our children. |
| 5 weeks 4 days ago | depends how you count Championships |
as on older, uh, more mature, poster, the losses hurt me LESS. I was sitting in the ND stands when Oliver kicked that FG at my face. I just got back from driving to Atlanta yesterday for the game. That was the best played college basketball game I have seen in person. It just wasn't meant to be. I count Red's 2 hockey championships, and, if you want heartbreak, go back through the OT and triple OT and disallowed goal playoff losses. I sat with a Kansas fan last nite, still recovering. Indiana AND Wisconsin beat us twice. But go back to Kansas guy's post a month or so ago about having great teams lose, almost annually. We left it all on the court, the team and coaching staff represented the U extremely well. What more can you ask? |
| 5 weeks 6 days ago | meaning of the spread |
Vegas spreads are NOT based on what they think the margin will be, but where the money will go. They don't want the money 50/50 on each side. Spread moves when money comes in heavy on one side. So, the money, and most of the media, continue to underestimate us. Cool. |

I assume there will be plenty of Wich State/Syracuse seats available. Lots of empties on screen at our game. |

Thanks for the effort. Yes, programs are built, and, win or lose this year, this season may not be the pinnacle of the Beilein era. |
| 6 weeks 20 hours ago | Webber |
the 4 other players being Taylor, Bullock, and the other post Fab Five? Webber took bad legal advice. One of the first things I was told about criminal defense, if your client is subpoenaed to testify before a grand jury, tell him/her to take the 5th amendment unless offered immunity. There is nothing criminal about accepting gifts from people. NCAA rules are not criminal laws. Webber's criminal issue was lying to the grand jury. What is the definition of "booster?" Martin's gifts were not conditional on attending U of M. He gave money to kids who went to Misourri, among other places. Someone told me - hearsay - that the US Attorney on the Ed Martin case was a Notre Dame alum who dragged it out to hurt UM. Anyway, let's revel in the accomplishments of the current team. |

Most of us don't like conditions that, if others knew, would make them pity us, or, consider us stupid. I am ADHD, which I was the last to know. Everyone around me figured it out first. Sort of. It is NOT a disability, or, to me, a disorder, I use the initials so people know what I am talking about. Being, for unknown reasons, othewise considered a smart person, it puzzles people when I leave the water running for hours, or lock the keys in the car with the engine running. How could I be so stupid? Well, it is what it is. Which is, not much, considering the thousand natural shocks that flesh is heir to. As the comments reflect, it is the human condition to have challenges. It is our calling to help each other with them. There is always a risk in sharing our vulnerability, but that is frequently when others can find out how they can help us. What a great family you must have! In posting this, you have given us readers a chance to show that we stand with you, we will keep you in our prayers, yet, we will not lower our expectations for your performance. Go Blue! |

Are you all Walmart Wolverines? Do people with college degrees actually think a preview clearly marked HYPOTHETICAL has an actual effect on real events? Really? Put me with soulfire 21 |
