Received my hard copy Rose Bowl tickets from OnLocation

Have you ever gotten something official-looking in the mail that makes you nervous but actually ends up being something nice that makes your day? Me neither... until today.

OnLocation (the company that sold the MGoBlog Rose Bowl ticket package) just sent me these in a padded, nondescript, unmarked envelope with a tracking number. I had forgotten the company name so the return address wasn't familiar to me. I honestly thought that I or one of my clients had been sued or hit with a subpoena and that I was being served with the court papers (I'm an attorney so that's my first thought at getting an ominous-looking mystery envelope), so I held my breath as I opened it.

This is one of the coolest pleasant surprises I've ever received in the mail.

Come to think of it, I do remember that the ticket package info said it included physical tickets in addition to e-tickets, but I pretty much forgot about that because who really cares as long as you get a valid e-ticket for a reserved seat? Now that I've received them, it actually feels pretty good to have them. And I'm glad they waited until after the game to send them, because otherwise I would have taken them with me to the game and probably gotten them crumpled up or something.

I ordered through an email that came directly from the Rose Bowl. There's an option to purchase souvenir tickets through the end of this month, and you can specify your tunnel, section, and seat number for your individual ticket. You can also add the lucite case for $20.

I'm terrible at links, but here's the website I ordered from: https://directfulfillment.wwlinc.com/PasadenaTOR/Orders/New

I got an ominous looking envelope too a couple of days ago that made me nervous. Thankfully it was the Rose Bowl ticket I had ordered.

I got he ticket through a site that someone on MGOBLOG posted. It wasn't through On Location. I had the option of paying a little extra and putting my real tunnel number, row and seat number.

A friend of mine got tickets that say 1 1 24. That seems to be the generic one.

They do look nice.

I received my natty replicas and they look great.  Very pleased with them.  I also got the lucite mount and while it’s $10 more than buying a lucite magnet brick on Amazon, the one they supply fits the ticket perfectly.  It’s all very well done.

I got a National Championship ticket from the athletic department as thanks for being a season ticket holder. It was quite unexpected but has gone up on my bookshelf in a prominent place.

Still a little annoyed that we have to go these lengths for a physical ticket to games, they are the best souvenirs. I repurposed a frame from around the house to display the last year of physical season tickets, plus ordered BIG10 and National Championship tickets since they only offered digital for the actual games.

I think I was expecting an actual ticket, with my actual seat number on it, so I was disappointed. Still looks nice I guess, definitely something worth keeping in a keepsakes box to remember, but not as awesome as I thought they were going to be. Either way its a bonus, as I wasn't even expecting this since i purchased tickets on the secondary market.
