5 days 7 hours ago	According to Sam, OSU may	According to Sam, OSU may have been the early leader because Jamarco saw how many lineman we've taken in the last couple classes.  But the coaches have apparently done a pretty good job convincing him that most of those guys are guards, and Jamarco is a tackle.  I find that convincing, coming from Sam anyways.

2 weeks 2 hours ago	I don't think he dispelled	I don't think he dispelled anything. You can't fairly compare a recruit's June 1st offer sheets to another recruit's January offer sheets.  The 29th linebackers in those previous classes committed much later than Winovich (three of the four committed in January).  The longer a player's recruitment goes on, the more likely he is to rack of better offers as other players of the same position come off the board.  Being a team's plan F or G option a month or two before signing day is not the same as being a team's plan B or plan C option in the summer before your senior year. Comparing Winovich's offer list in June to those other players' offer lists in January is not apples to apples.

2 weeks 1 day ago	I don't think it is fair to	I don't see how it is fair to compare someone's June 1st offer list with someone else's signing day offer list.  When teams strike out with recruits, they naturally have to offer players further down on their list.  If you were offered in June, it is more impressive than being offered later in the process.  Plus, players earn offers their Senior year by playing well.  They have another year to add size and add to their highlight tape.  If Winovich waited until signing day to commit, and remained open in his recruitment, he would undoubtedly have more offers. All those guys you listed committed much later than Winovich, three of them waited until January.

3 weeks 2 days ago	I'm not sure that "crazier	I'm not sure that "crazier stuff has happened before."  I'm not a recruiting historian or anything, but has there been a time when we had such a huge lead for a guy that nobody even knew who his second place might be on the day of his announcement, and he announced to somehwere else?  I don't even know who the competition is for Peppers.  Sam always said Stanford if he ever made in on campus, which he didn't.  It isn't OSU or LSU, who he visited and didn't seem to like.  I guess the only other possibility would be Rutgers and there is probably less than a 1% chance of that happening.
