I agree it was a clear out play and that Robinson was getting the ball the whole time, but the db still put his hands on Fuller to impede his route. he wasn't trying to get through Fuller to Robinson. Neither of them were.

I thought it was an obvious penalty until watching it in the light of Kelly's explanation and now I think he's right. The db's were locking onto the receivers, not the other way around. The dbs weren't trying to get to Corey Robinson at all. That's why both of the FSU dbs were arguing with eachother after the catch, because neither of them covered Robinson.

Are you unaware that Oregon beat MSU's ass earlier this year?
|3 weeks 1 hour ago||That is not what he's||
That is not what he's saying. When a player's helmet comes off, he is supposed to leave the game for a play. Hoke wanted to call a timeout so that Gardner could stay in the game after his helmet came off. The first ref told him he couldn't do it and the second ref came over and said that he could, but by then Morris was in the game ready to run a play.

I understand being pissed at Hoke for what happened on Saturday, and other coaches on the sideline for that matter. I don't really understand the outrage against Dave Brandon for what happened on Saturday, although I understand that poeple dislike him for many other reasons. I cannot fathom how Ross could be to blame for anything that happened on Saturday. This seems to be turning into a witch hunt. The mishandling of Morris is sparking a revolution against anyone that is in any way associated with the athletic department, when, in reality, only the coaches were to blame for that.

I am too old to recalibrate I think. I'd rather just pretend this is a transition period until Michigan is good at football again, however long that might take.

Yeah, you're reaching big time. They had great things to say about Michigan after their visits.

I would think that Al would be tired of coaching programs under sanctions. Good for Penn State if they are able to pull Golden from a major program given their circumstances.

Has McDowell committed somewhere? And how does 2 guys from 2014 and 1 guy from 2015 constitute a "trio". How does losing one guy mean that we are going to lose out on all three? This part of the post makes no sense to me.
The rest is obvious. Winning helps recruiting. Everyone knows that. The bottom line is that it is hard to win with a team of mostly freshman and sophmores. When we have stronger Senior and Junior classes, numbers wise, we will win more games. In the meantime, we have to weather losing some recruting battles.

Maurice Ways is so underrated. This incoming receiving group is amazing. I think you could make a strong case that any one of the three are the best receiver in Michigan's class. Hopefully they can contribute meaningfully as freshman.

Give me a break. It is way too easy to say that in hindsight. You could say that about any play imaginable.

Really don't think Brady Hoke deserves this kind of a reaction.
As far as I can tell, Hoke does things the right way. He loves his players, loves college football and loves Michigan. I don't think he's the one asking the athletic department to jack up ticket prices so that he can have "pretty things." He would be coaching Michigan football in a parking lot if he had to. College football is changing and becoming more and more commercialized by the day, sure, but certainly not at the behest of Brady Hoke.
To be sure, he's getting paid well. But I don't think he is coachingMichigan football for the money. I think this anger is misdirected. Someone sounds like a spoiled brat as far as I'm concerned, and it isn't Brady Hoke.

How do you address expectations for the Big Ten championship even with Ohio State as the heavy favorite?
"Well, I don't think we really worry about anybody else. If we do that, then we're losing sight of what's important, and that's us. We have high expectations. We have 42 Big Ten championships that have come before. We talk about that every day. We're trying to be the team that wins the 43rd. And so, I'll be honest with you, we have to worry about ourselves. If we do a good job not having distractions, do a good job with the way we come to work every day and come to Schembechler Hall, then we'll see."
Is this guy really asking if Hoke if he has conceded defeat to OSU this year? That's what it sounds like. This is the worst question I've ever seen. It's like, "do you still tell your team that the goal is to win the Big Ten championship even though you have no shot at beating Ohio State?" Am I reading this wrong?

|1 year 8 weeks ago||I know this is intended||
I know this is intended sarcastically, but in a way it's true. He isn't "automatically better," but the fact that he earned a scholarship is indicative of his talent and how he has performed in practice. He earned a scholarship with his performance in college rather than by pushing around kids half his size in high school. To me that says something.

He's out two weeks of his 3 weeks of practice before the first game. That isn't good. It could be a lot worse obviously. But he has a lot to learn in very little time. Most importantly, adjusting to the speed of the college game.
