Quinshon Judkins Commits to Ohio

Didn't see this posted anywhere else, we are still relishing in the joy of a Natty! This guy is a hell of a player though and I hate to see him going to OSU. The NIL game is stronk out in Columbus.

"Top Rival enjoy the moment"...

My only thoughts when I heard this were - 1) how big is his NIL deal, 2) does his signing include a Lamborghini, 3) he'll fit right in with the mercenary culture in Columbus, and 4) which Buckeye RB's (perhaps Henderson) will enter the portal / declare for the NFL.

Saw that:

1. Ouch, terrific player for them.

2. Strong indication that they are responding to Michigan's run by adjusting their approach much as Michigan adjusted to their move to a pro passing game.

Hell of a player

Apparently leaving Ole Miss was mutual because he's an egomaniac

Should fit right in at OSU

They won't win the Natty next year LIKE MICHIGAN JUST DID

OSU will have ton of talent next year. But will they have a cohesive locker room full of egos and kids only playing for the bag? And OSU losers who populate 11W and go onto NevadaShmucks youtube channel can celebrate their portal win. What they can't celebrate is winning a National Championship.

Weird, OSU fans are always talking about how their NIL is awful, but they just pulled the RB from Ole Miss who left due to NIL disagreements? Interesting /s

From my understanding down here, they’re trying to do the Corum and Don recipe. Trev isn’t going anywhere. So it’s going to be interesting how that will play out. It’s either going to be real bad as a team standpoint if you believe the ole miss parting ways, or crying Ryan develops a brotherhood and they play like a team. Haven’t seen the latter with him

I saw this sneak by online and thought it was funny the timing, but I guess you gotta feed the masses in Columbus with something.

He's a good back, but he's probably not better than Henderson, who I assume is leaving, and had efficiency issues this year.  Some of that was due to injuries but Ole Miss threw a ton of money around this offseason and yet apparently didn't think Judkins was worth it, and my guess is that tracked with his on-field performance a bit.  He'll probably be good at OSU but this doesn't move the needle with me given they also added Will Howard and that center from Alabama, all guys who don't strike me as ones who'd really raise your ceiling as a championship contender.

I think some OSU fans are hoping for him to stick around but Judkins isn't coming to OSU to split carries.  Also, Henderson has his limitations but he's a top-2/3 round RB and someone will take him because he's a solid receiver out of the backfield as well as a good runner in space.  I mean, good luck to him if he comes back but this sure feels like a move you make because you don't expect your 3-year starter back to return.

I'd disagree with the premise behind your statement on splitting carries. An established elite talent at RB would ABSOLUTELY want to split carries in college, especially during his junior year. That said, it's not exactly safe to assume that Henderson can stay healthy for a full season.

If OSU fans think egocentric mercenaries are going to get them to the mountaintop, they really don't understand why they keep losing to Michigan.

Besides, a guy who averaged 2.7 YPC against Tulane isn't exactly scaring me.

I don't care what players OSU adds because OSU's current staff kinda stinks and wastes it. I do care what coaching changes they make. It will be interesting to see the next chess move - hopefully Day keeps going mega pass happy and doesn't actually get someone who knows how to use a running QB and a running back

I bet he will never have two long TDs in a national championship game and look like the flash while hitting the open holes.  Only The Don is capable of that.  We will be fine because OSU is in complete desperation mode.

It was said that this guy was a terrible locker room teammate, and everybody associated with Ole Miss was fine with seeming him walk. Will fit right in with the culture in Ohio.
