| 6 weeks 3 days ago | I think |
I think it is easy to second guess, but if Spike knocks down his second half three pointer or that layup we'd be here talking about how this guy is the second coming of Rob Pelinka. He was tired, would have liked to see Stauskus a bit more - but at the same time, Spike provided some good ball handling. Yes, had a turnover at the end of the half and threw a bad pass down low, but so did Burke. The other alternatives were Hardaway and Levert who hardly look comfortable with the ball. |
| 6 weeks 3 days ago | Albrecht |
Albrecht was on fire. Gotta go with the hot hand I suppose. And its not like Stauskus had been great on D this season. Albrecht certainly played his way into next year's starting lineup. Can't believe I'm saying that knowing about the recruits we have coming in, but damn. Kid can play and doesn't get rattled. Should be solid for us for three more years. Stauskus will be nice to have around too. |
| 8 weeks 4 days ago | LaSalle in the MAC |
I have fond memories of November classics between LaSalle and Eastern Michigan. One heck of a double-header, after U-M and OSU clashes. |
| 9 weeks 1 day ago | Not This Week |
The $250k myth isn't a myth. It is the standard rate for one day of a promoted Tweet. It could be less during off peak hours, but not this week. Probably higher this week.
And apologies for not know how to embed. |
| 9 weeks 2 days ago | I'm sorry |
That you don't know how to use Twitter or don't understand the significance of a brand spending $250,000 on a promoted Tweet to taunt Michigan State basketball. |

Not tonight. |
| 30 weeks 6 days ago | ... |
First off, apologies for making this a diary. Mods, feel free to move. And, the shuffle off the bench was very odd. Never seen that before. And I agree I hate seeing injuries. But most notably the concussions and those bad ACL tears. Those always make me cringe. Miller's takedown wasn't cringeworthy, but you could just tell it wasn't normal. |
| 33 weeks 5 days ago | Chant |
I was at the MSU/ND game a few weeks ago and I think the student section started the chant when the ND punter went down. I have never heard the chant prior to that game.
Additionally, State has adjusted/changed one of their band's songs so that the students no longer say "First Down Bitch" after the band plays. This would be like Michigan removing temptation for something else, just to keep the student section in line. |
| 34 weeks 5 days ago | I have nowhere else to post this |
But I was just looking at the NCAA stats after 3 games.
Leveon Bell has 80-some carries for 357 yards Denard Robinson has 40-some carries for 351 yards.
Glad the Leveon Bell for Heisman talk has quieted down. |

I'm glad that you posted the link after copying and pasting the entire story! |

Hollis' Tweet was in response to a Burke tweet. To see it, Hollis is either following Burke on Twitter. Or he searched for him on Twitter. Sparty's gonna Spart. |
| 1 year 8 weeks ago | it is real |
It really was Mark Hollis. Unless someone "hijacked" his account. |

Thanks for the views and the comments everyone. |
| 1 year 15 weeks ago | It is greasy... |
Yeah it is very greasy and fattening, but it is for a party with a ton of people so I do it more for fun than anything else. The ladies usually get grossed out while the guys love it. |
| 1 year 15 weeks ago | Most people usually say that, |
Most people usually say that, then they try what I make and are hooked. In 2009 I made the Bacon Explosion a 6lb bacon log. in 2010 it was a an 8lb calzone with ham, cheese, ground beef, bacon and mozarella sticks, last year I made bacon wrapped mozarella sticks and now this. |
| 1 year 25 weeks ago | It's not about Boise getting in |
It's about Michigan getting to 14. They won't unless other teams lose. Especially since teams like Wisconsin are still playing and can jump us. |
| 1 year 25 weeks ago | No BCS yet |
Someone still needs to lose for Michigan to make top 14 and qualify for BCS consideration. Even if MSU loses next weekend - Wisconsin could jump us by beating the Spartans. So let's call it a wash. South Carolina, Kansas State, Boise, Oregon - one of those teams need to lose.
Even if VT or Stanford lose, Michigan will probably still be behind them. |

| 1 year 30 weeks ago | In the past |
In the past they would scan the ticket before looking at the ID. This is important because after they scan the ticket it can't be scanned again. So once they stop you at the gate and tell you to get your ticket validated they will sign the back of your ticket making the original scan void. Then you just go to another gate - non student section entrance and walk in. Tell them you had to leave the stadium to get asthma medication and you will be fine. I swear to you this worked for me to avoid a validation fee. About 2 years ago i walked in and got my ticket scanned but they stopped my gf because she was using my brother's id (eh, we did the best we could). Anyway, they said she had to get it validated so I made them sign my ticket allowing re-entry. Then we walked right in another gate. In fact they had a cop come over and look at the tickets to make sure we hadn't forged a signature or some dumb shit. I don't even know. But we got in without an extra fee. |
| 1 year 30 weeks ago | I purchased a copy |
I do most of my reading online these days, but I purchased a copy. It's the first book I've bought since "Death to the BCS" by Dan Wetzel. Can't wait to get it in the mail today. I'm glad I could support someone who was able to turn up what really happened the past few years. |
| 1 year 31 weeks ago | I liked this one... |
The profile is also great with the hilarious pic of Sam the Eagle who is always "appalled at what everyone else is doing." I like the bio too where it says Mork is a part time parole officer. |
| 1 year 40 weeks ago | Tom to ESPN AA |
ESPN announced it a few weeks ago right? Or am I missing something? |
| 1 year 42 weeks ago | Maybe I'm the only one... |
But I'm not a fan of this post. What happened to just telling us the facts? I'm sorry, I'm sure your a nice guy Misopogon, but do we need the lyrics and the hyperbole (talking about ancient quarterbacks). What was wrong with just saying "Kevin Newsome, former U-M commit is transfering"? Between that and your Bill Simmons-esque diaries posts, I feel like my head is going to explode. Okay, that's all I got. Enjoy negging me everyone. |

A bit off the topic but Vollmar's sister is a Michigan HS athletic director. Not at a school good enough to produce Michigan talent (never has).

I chuckled when I read that line. Also, I suggest others read the story... it's a solid read. |
| 2 years 18 weeks ago | My pics |
I have some pics that I submitted to Deadspin via Twitter. They are still up on the site. I was bid card 210 and I arrived at noon. I can't believe 200 people showed up before noon. And I think more than $15,000 will be gained from this. I was thinking 20-30k. Shirts were going for 100 bucks. |
| 2 years 18 weeks ago | Fred is awesome |
Fred Jackson has been with the program since 1992! He is loyal and a solid coach. So what if his quotes on running backs stretch the truth. Fred Jackson is the fucking man and he deserves this thread. BTW, I am very glad to see is coming back (obviously.) |
| 2 years 18 weeks ago | My goal with this thread... |
Is to create an MGoBlog meme that will live forever along with Tacopants. Fred Jackson is one of a very select group of individuals qualified for an internet meme. He's like a more talented version of keyboard cat, more gruff than epic beard man, and I guarantee you if he were in Mobile Alabama he would have found the leprachaun. And the gold. |
