A young DB coach with NFL and Harbaugh-Michigan experience is about as good as it gets. DeMeco Ryans is one of the better young coaches in the NFL so I’m pretty pumped about this hire from context alone.

Fellas, feels like the football program is in good hands as we had thought.

you mean like …. we as in you, me and like 15 other posters? Most folks were hand wringing, claiming Harbaugh was knee-calling us, blaming Warde, extolling the horrors of the sky that fell, etc.

Warde still sucks drjaws, but Sherrone doing a nice job filling out the staff.

NGL, still a bit nervous about Wink, given Mac and Minter took what he built and made it better, and now we are bringing back the older version.  Great for continuity and I'm sure he can adjust based on our roster, but Minter specifically was a bit of a savant and will be tough to replace, even if his mentor is now on the staff.

Sometimes the pupil does indeed surpass the teacher, and that may very well have been the case with MacDonald and Minter vs. Wink.

The other guy. This guy was GA in 2021 for Michigan, then quality control assistant for 49ers in 2022 under demeco Ryan’s. Then went with demeco Ryan’s to Texans when he was hired from dc at 49ers to head coach at Texans. This is an excellent hire. My guess is he views this as a fast track to DC type role after wink leaves.
