He was on sportscenter Tuesday night and was asked specifically what type of coach he wanted to see. Said he wanted a tough football team and a tough minded coach. Mentioned the obvious -- Harbaugh and Miles. Then he also mentioned Schiano.

Looking forward to his future but the best numbers in the history of the Big Ten may be a bit of a stretch.
|4 weeks 2 days ago||You're right.||
You're right. You are better than me.
|4 weeks 2 days ago||I tend to agree, but||
I tend to agree, but struggle to figure out exactly what that looks like. He can't stay on the team--at least not in a playing capacity. You have to agree with that. But does Mich allow him to practice? Does he stay enrolled in school? Does he keep his scholarship? Does Mich pay for counseling for him? Who is to say Hoke won't continue to support him privately? This is an absolutely serious/genuine question--what do you think Michigan, as an institution, should do at this point to help him?
|4 weeks 2 days ago||Maybe not for you.||
That may not be your definition of making it, but it certainly is for these kids, especially those coming from the background that Clark came from. And what our football program is "all about" is really up for debate depending on whose perspective you are looking at it from. We can look at it from the "we should be better than that" perspective, or we can look at it from a more realistic perspective. Big time football programs are about developing big time football talent.

Yes. I believe that one of the articles about Saban and his house also said that the donors also can supplement the coach's income. Basically they established the groups at Alabama to help the football program with any financial need they may have.

I think it is a bit much to suggest that the late start is somehow intentionally placing 100,000 people on grave danger. Afternoon and evening games happen all the time at all levels. And some of us actually prefer the late times.

New Holland. Sundog (Amber) or Mad Hatter (IPA).
|7 weeks 14 hours ago||Next year||
I think we (fans) start thinking of next year about two weeks ago. I think the team and coaches won't until the off season. I don't see them benching Gardner in his senior year unless an individual game is out of hand and it is garbage time.

Who pissed on your Wheaties this morning?
|11 weeks 9 hours ago||Too frustrating.||
No doubt he is a good coach and better than what we have, but he'd be "Lloyd Carr" frustrating. Did you see the game against MSU? Against the top defense in the country. Run up the middle...stuffed. Run up the middle...stuffed. Run up the middle...stuffed. Lose a game you shouldn't lose.

Sanchez isn't ready to start. They said he won't pitch more than a couple inning at a time in the playoffs. He could be the closer though.

Typical OSU public safety officer. Covering his eyes so he doesn't see OSU kids doing things wrong.

C'mon. Edwardsburg isn't that bad of a place to live.
|23 weeks 5 days ago||Who?||
Who are you referring to?
|32 weeks 8 hours ago||Pretty impressive.||
That pretty impressive. Close to a 30 yard completion to himself.
|32 weeks 5 days ago||No||
No, we don't need criminals.
|33 weeks 3 days ago||Unfortunately||
Unfortunately the "increased level of competition" isn't exactly due to everyone raising their level to U of M. It's because we have lowered our level to them.
|33 weeks 5 days ago||Scholarship honored.||
Mich and Beilein have said they will honor his scholarship no matter what. So he will be on the team. He is not yet the player he once was and hard to believe he ever will be. So tough to see him contribute much. But the coaches want him on the team and he deserves to be.
|33 weeks 5 days ago||Keep in mind||
Keep in mind, Crawford had no parents to speak of and lived with the guy for three years in high school.
|33 weeks 5 days ago||Yes.||
Yes. If his name is drawn, they would still test. They could even choose to test if he didn't even travel with the team and was back in AA.
|34 weeks 3 days ago||Totally agree.||
I completely agree. I love the IDEA of this team (aggressive, speed) but this team isn't winning a W.S. unless they get a little more pop in the line up. Small ball is fine, but not when you have to play 3 guys that are going to bat .200 or lower.

|35 weeks 1 day ago||Feeling?||
Did you have a good feeling before you knew it was on TV?
|35 weeks 5 days ago||Disagree.||
Have you seen the NBA? None of your arguments for shortening the shot clock would be supported by evidence from the NBA. It's certainly not better basketball because of the shorter clock, and I can't say that I follow your statement about rewarding good defense. It means teams with poor defenses only have to hold up for 24 seconds instead of 35. Only the best defenses can man up for a full 35. If anything it is rewarding worse defenses because they have to avoid a defensive breakdown for a shorter time.
|38 weeks 1 day ago||Where is that quote?||
The quote I heard was, "I never say never."
|42 weeks 7 hours ago||If||
If the ball is not touching the basket at the time, is not interference--for example, if the ball is above the rim and not actually on it. Pretty close as it is bouncing around. Either way, no way it gets called. The net gets touched multiple times a game as the ball comes through it and they never make that call.
|42 weeks 7 hours ago||Yes||
Yes. That was the play call. The players said that play is practiced regularly.
|45 weeks 3 days ago||I'll take it||
I'll take the same problem that Alabama has every year.
|45 weeks 4 days ago||Not what he meant.||
I don't think he was saying the original post was spiteful. He just didn't want any of the comments to turn into the usual "Sparty being Sparty" response.
