the just released schedules were a flat-out statement that the B10 doesn't believe SOS will matter in playoff selection

Aww somebody needs a nap. You're team won 9-ZERO having your pitcher throw 7 shutout, 2-hit innings. Grow The Fug Up. |

You gotta admit, Barkevious is a pretty slick name! We're talkin' Shakespeare in the Dirty South with a name like that. |
| 2 weeks 2 days ago | Good stuff. I've been |
Good stuff. I've been watching the Horse races this time of year going back to my pre-teen years (not that long, but quite a few years running now). I've been wanting to and thinking about making the Derby trip for a couple years now, hopefully in the next 2-3 years we pull the trigger and go. Thanks for the insight into what race-day is like. I've had friends who've gone but I've never really gotten the scoop on what the day entails. This helps! Great story, obviously too. I picked I'll Have Another last year too, no money riding though; I was in an Old Chicago in Denver watching (but I'd decided he was my pick the day before the race last year, in somewhat the same fashion you made him your pick). |

| 2 weeks 2 days ago | Mentioned above already, and |
Mentioned above already, and I hate to yearn for players that went to Alabama, but Eddie Lacy and Trent Richardson are running backs I love to watch (Mike Hart fits this mold pretty for the most part, also). As 'exciting" as the fleet-footed swifty guys are to watch for most people, I still love watching a guy break a few tackles, follow it up with a "maybe not quite Barry Sanders-cut, but a quick cut nonetheless" move, gain an extra 5-12 yards and probably get tackled. Being able to fly down the field for a TD is of course great, but not everyone possesses the speed for that and for me I'll take the abilities listed above over the speedster who needs open field and one juke, to score. |

"Deep NCAA tournament run" and "Final Four" are, uhh, references to Basketball; they happen to appear in the second and third sentences. Title is fixed now, so, moot point. |

Yep. Along with a few members of the Big Ten, including a certain newcomers next year. Oh yea..and us! (sue me, I'm a hater) |
| 2 weeks 6 days ago | I got burnt this past season |
I got burnt this past season in predicting Iowa to the Tournament at the start of the year/December. So, yeah, doubt me and I can't say much. But I think the Iowa Hawkeyes are better than the 25th best next year. They return everyone but Eric May, a replaceable player, to say the least. They can challenge for the Conference's top spot next season. |

Unfortunately, I've seen worse looking jerseys worn by "big time" College Football schools/teams. |

I was going to say the same thing and you're the first person I see to realize this. Denard did not seem excited, whatsoever, after being called/picked...by the notoriously bad Jacksonville Jaguars. |

Ughhhh Jacksonville. Glad his family can see him play, though, more easily. Congrats to Denard! |
| 3 weeks 1 day ago | Unfortunately this team/type |
Unfortunately this team/type of team will put up nights like tonight. Ugh..that wasn't fun watching the boxscore tonight. Maholm came back to earth too, obviously. Oh well, this team has been pretty fun overall thus far, and again, we're 'gonna have to take the lumps through the season along with the fun stuff. |

Curious to see who the Dolphins take. I assume they're going to get the LT from Kansas City as they didn't trade up for Joeckel, so the need for the OL won't be as dire. Either way it won't matter, I guess, as mediocrity and below is the way of the 'Phins. |

| 3 weeks 4 days ago | Well I live in Iowa, so yea |
Well I live in Iowa, so yea middle finger. And yea it does suck and is an atrocity that games against Iowa are being taken away and given to...Maryland and Rutgers. I've no problem for the fans out East enjoying the fact that Michigan will be playing closer to you/them. But to say it's legitimate to take away games from the traditional Big Ten schools and, even Nebraska, for these flaky-ass schools "out East" in Maryland and Rutgers is odd. The Wisconsin/Minnesota/Iowa matchups go back decades but because these teams have been up and down over the years means it's no big deal to replace them with schools with zero track records of success, is a flaky notion itself. |

"It's a long way from 39 to 9, though." Only 5 points, actually. Shoot, that's like 2 baskets a game. If we can't eliminate two baskets from the opposing team each game, I mean, what are we watching for...(jaykay..but srsly, TWO baskets) |

I'm not much into this type of thing, so I may a bit naive in asking question, but who would some candidates be to replace David Brandon were he to leave the role of AD, soon or down the road? |
| 3 weeks 5 days ago | Hopefully some |
Hopefully some snapshots/photos of some of the best moments of the Michigan B-ball team that just ended will end up in there. I'll always have a thing for this team, for obvious reasons, but it was a ride I wasn't expecting and the thrilling moments I'll cherish for years to come. |
| 3 weeks 6 days ago | "you act as if we'll never |
"you act as if we'll never play minnesota or iowa again. " No, just every 7 years and for my as in Iowa I get to see Michigan @ Iowa every 11 years. Made up numbers but am I that far off?? It is sh**ty scenario. "and what did you want the conference to do? put us and ohio in a conference with all of our long time important conference rivals and stick Rutgers and Maryland with a bunch of teams no one cares about? as if that would benefit the conference." Not add those ridiculous schools. Good institutions, sure, but they don't belong with the Big Ten. What's done is done, though, I get it, and like you say we're stuck with them. Most of us don't like it though. I mentioned this in a post a few days back, but the college football landscape is turning into a hot mess. The fun is evaporating from the sport year by year. This isn't news, I know, but each year it gets amplified and more things go by the wayside.

| 4 weeks 22 hours ago | Stayed at Residence Inn last |
Stayed at Residence Inn last Fall (right off I-90 & State, out by the Mall if I recall). A group of us drove up from and for the Iowa, game. 4/5 star? Hell no, not even close. But we got one of the lofted-suites which was pretty fun for us "mid-upper 20's-rowdy" peeps. It's not exactly modernized but the place is decent and very much respectable for certain/most types. (It's gotta beat the 1.5 star, I think is what you meant, you've stayed in before....which, after all that is probably the one I've just mentioned!). As stated above, check out www.VRBO.com. I'm using it for a trip to the Caribbean very soon and it's turning out to be a damn legitimate way to plan a trip. Can't wait to return, myself, to check out and take in more. |
| 4 weeks 1 day ago | As an Iowa native, in a few |
As an Iowa native, in a few ways this sucks. Good for the Hawks getting to play Wisconsin again (that was stupid as can be) but now Michigan only plays Iowa once a decade*...awesome. I've been to the Iowa-Michigan game @ Kinnick dating back to the 90's and even though there were a few breaks from the every other year cycle, once every 14 years* @ Kinnick is loose butthole. Welcome aboard Rutgers, Maryland, and Indiana (which, okay, true BigTen at least). Saying this is analagous to just finding out baseball was on steroids but this college football game is turning into a heaping pile of crap; I love it, but man she ain't what she used to be. "Fear the Turtle" is now a part of the Big Ten mottos. *Hyperbole, but I'm sure I'm really not far off. |
