Such a loss.  Always unpredictable and hilarious.

My girlfriend's first real gift to me was tickets to see Norm live at Royal Oak Music Theater in September 2019.  Amazing show, extra glad I got to see him live in maybe my last chance to do so.  (She's now my fiancee.)

A great comedian and by all accounts a good guy to work with.  And his passion for name-dropping Frank Stallone into bits continues to crack me up.

Norm's, 'Based on a True Story' is a hilarious read, I highly recommend it. Definitely one of the great comics of all time. The dude could talk about anything and make it funny.

RIP, Norm...

Oh no.  He was one of the funniest people alive as far as I'm concerned.  I absolutely loved his Bob Uecker stories on Letterman.  And, though it's mentioned above, I can't resist saying how great the moth joke was.

Bummed a cigarette off him in a Hartsfield smoking lounge on the way back to school from spring break in 1998. He was the same cool, mellow, sardonic guy in person.

Rest in peace, Norm.

P.S... his Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee episode with Seinfeld was the best and funniest episode of the series. Highly recommend.

Such a huge and shocking loss.  I was just looking the other day to see when he was going to be performing live by me again and it looked like he had an East Coast tour coming up. I'm glad I did have the chance to see him live a half dozen times.   I've been watching some of the compilations of his best SNL or late night appearances over the past few weeks on YouTube.  Probably my 3 favorite things of his are 1) the Charles Woodson/OJ Simpson joke  2) when they made the mistake of letting him perform at the White House Press Correspondents Dinner during the Clinton administration 3) either the moth joke or when he repeatedly eviscerates Carrot Top while poor Courtney Thorne Smith is trying to promote the movie she made with Carrot Top on Conan:

Really bummed to see this.

Remember seeing him in AA back in the day.  He was recovering from the flu iirc.  He came out and basically said "I'm sick and I have no material"  and encouraged people to shout topics at him.  Completely random and hilarious.

Just this on my news feed. This is a shocker.  Coming of age in the 90's Norm was the man. The comedy world has suffered a tremendous loss. RIP Norm, and thanks for the countless laughs. Apetits.

Watch his standup from just at the start of the pandemic. He did a live show in March 2020 in the Bay Area just when things were closing down. It might be the last performance footage out there. He was hilarious as per usual. So many people just know his SNL work and movies, but his standup was A++++.

I was planning to go to the next show he does out East, and it's a painful realization to know that will never happen. A small part of me still hopes it's some kind of performance art fakeout...

I'll never forget his set on a Comedy Roast when he got up and intentionally told the absolutely lamest jokes to lampoon the whole thing.  The pros on the dais were losing their minds.

This one hurts. Were not seeing another Norm Macdonald in our lifetime. I just watched all of his OJ Weekend Update segments on Sunday. Im going to miss that delivery and dry wit a whole lot.

This one is for you Normie....

The only time OJ has something on his mind is when he's wearing his lucky stabbing hat!

Fuck cigarettes!

Norm spent decades joking about how hard it was to quit and sadly only succeeded in quitting after he got the cancer diagnosis a decade ago.

He is one of the millions across the globe whose life likely would have been saved if e-cigarettes were around for his earlier attempts at quitting.
