New Mexico is letting Bob Davie head coach their football team.

This would be a good question for Don to ask Sam Webb.
|13 hours 13 min ago||I have wondered the same||
I have wondered the same thing about this year.
My assumption is that something must have happened last year that he wasn't happy with?
Or they were coming into this year somewhat banged up and he didn't want those injuries to be used as blame for a poor or underperforming team?
I really have no clue, but there is definitely a difference this year vs. past years.

Hoke is at his most defensive and agitated around injuries. Something he's taken a hard position in not addressing.
Any stance, position, or sign of personality from the Michigan head coach is ridiculed when the team isn't winning every game by three touchdowns.

You can't let a AD on the hot seat make a coaching decision.

I agree, Rich Rod's recent comments could be fairly damning towards attracting a coach with a tangential relationship with the University and athletic department. The only case where I could see that being a non issue is if it was a huge name. That seems highly unlikely.

I have myself convinced there will be a reasonable amount of attrition if Hoke is let go and they don't bring someone in that has some kind of relationship with Hoke or someone else on the staff.
Hoke and departing staff would most definitely encourage players to stay at Michigan but I can't see them vouching for a coach and staff that he or they don't have some type of established relationship with. I think that's important in the attrition conversation. Michigan can't afford to alienate the players with a coaching change.
There is a lot of young talent on the roster that will need to be retained to have any reasonable chance at a quick turnaround.

Those must have been some interesting team meetings a couple weeks ago when Michigan was in a handful of national headlines.

I think the 2013 Offense played a big role in getting from there to here.
Borges for some reason decided it would be a good idea to install a new offense every week, with a relatively young/inexperienced group instead of sticking with fundamental elements that he wanted to install. 2013 should have been the year he could have made progress towards building what he wanted to see long term at Michigan. Hoke let him do it.
Hoke was smart to cut him loose but it seems to be too little too late.

Williams is the guy I always think of when I read those quotes from Hoke that touch on how well the Offense has been practicing. Some guys are just not game day players.
|2 weeks 2 days ago||Seems like Gardner getting||
Seems like Gardner getting caught earlier in the year had to do with trying to play within the new system and not trying to freelance, which lead to some more hesitant runs...and Jaylon Smith chasing him...

I have serious doubts about that first point. Aside from guys who will be seniors next year, I think there will be a fair amount of attrition.

That's interesting they took that position this morning, I only caught bits and peices.
|3 weeks 2 days ago||Sam is obviously not trying||
Sam is obviously not trying to burn bridges but it kind of feels like, what's the point? He has to know Hoke is a dead man walking. Brandon is a dead man walking.
I respect his position of not calling for a coaches head but there were some callers this morning that nailed it, particularly a caller that talked on the theme of miscommunication with Hoke and cited every instance where miscommunication was the explanation. Sam was speechless. I had to check to make sure my stream didn't cut out on me. Sam and Ira jumped on his point saying this is bigger than football and something that effected the whole department.
I needed to hear that call, it was the nail in the coffin for me. I have been relatively silent here regarding all of this because I have been holding out hope (sadly even through all this stuff) Hoke can turn things around, because I absolutely loathe the idea of another rebuild.
There is too much of a pattern of breakdowns to stand behind him anymore. Yes some of it is bigger than football and goes beyond Hoke but like Space Coyote said, this is a catostrophic failure.
|4 weeks 1 day ago||What will people think of||
What will people think of player development if we can finish multiple drives against good teams by the end of the season?
Doesn't seem like that is going to happen, but if it does, how will people respond to that? Too little too late? Something to get excited about?
|4 weeks 1 day ago||3. The biggest difference has||
3. The biggest difference has been in football coaching staff consistency over the last 10 years, and achievements in player development. Michigan doesn't develop talent like it used too. Other teams are better at it.
Who are the other teams? the others cited in your post? MSU, WI, Iowa? Because those teams have been running their respective systems much longer than Brady Hoke has at Michigan.

Find a good Naturopathic doctor in your area. That's what I did. I live in MN so I don't have a good recommendation.
Also, the effects of consuming gluten aren't quite as simple as you eat something and you feel bad 15 minutes later. There is a delayed and cumulative effect but I feel you. I dealt with "Brain fog" and terrible sleep for years. If you haven't gone through it, it's hard to understand. I can see why Ace has been hesitant to share. People thought I was making excuses for my, at times, substandard performance at work or lack of energy to do much of anything.
Testing for intolerances and allergies can get VERY nuanced. I only did the basic level of testing which was quite a few tests and a lot of money but I learned a lot about what my body can process and what it can't. There are more expensive tests that will spell out in more detail exactly what your body is reacting to chemically.
My two sense. Good luck!
