He probably would have gone 4-8 in year one.

It was Definitely USC. I'm trying to recall who said it...Brian Cushing? It was someone notable.

4.7 is not a bad 40 time for a high school sophomore. Especially one that is 6' 4" 200.

Man, that annoys me as well. Often times he’s interrupting to list some supplemental piece of information like the score of a game that happened six years ago. On occasion the interruption is justified or pertinent to the discussion but more often times it’s just disrupting the flow of someone else making a good point or pleasant banter (when MGo roundtable crew is on).

I would be suprised if they stick with the same OL configuration against UConn that they have been playing so far.

This past off season, I'm sure Clark watched himself get washed out against Notre Dame enough to know he's has to step his game up.
And this time I imagine he did on his OWN laptop.
I'm confident he'll be dialed in this season.

It's hard not to be excited about this guy. That first step is ridiculous.
I hope the consistency and effort stuff is overblown. Nothing is more annoying than that guy on the roster that flashes when he gets in but never quite earns the playing time. Wasn't Mike Cox from MA?

Watching the game tonight at a Kansas bar in St. Paul.
Hoping to see the contingent of grey hairs that are normally there getting their jimmies rustled!

Dinging Ryan for that blown containment? ouch!
I think Ryan thought he had him contained (the back looked like he was going to turn it inside) and when he bounced it he was being held pretty badly. I agree he could have had better leverage on the outside shoulder.
I think Ryan needs to learn how to take a fall in this scenario more than how to hold contain.
Spot on with Heitzman though, had he played the outside shoulder of that tackle, that play would have been less successful.

I know a lot of visiting professional teams stay in the Hilton downtown, but I'm not sure if it's different for visiting college teams.

You obviously never saw me play defensive end in high school.

I have to agree. Thousands of Josheses had their heart broken by Michigan before Josh Gordon did.

|1 year 11 weeks ago||I agree with your sentiment.||
I agree with your sentiment. Here are a couple of my own:
I wonder what those conversations are like between Hoke and the freshman. I have to imagine the player has some degree of say in whether or not he redshirts. We don't know every players personal goals. RJS may have not wanted to redshirt and was totally fine in accepting his limited role.
I think it's a great sign that the coaches feel they can trust RJS on special teams. Just because he was raw in HS and needs to add weight, doesn't mean he's not going to get up to speed by next season.
I think it's fair for Brian to question the redshirt but I think he's undervaluing the way coaches view special teams. College coaches (particularly Hoke) value that part of the game as much as offense/defense.

I'm blanking on the guys name but I remember that as well. He had never coached or played football before if I remember correctly. I was kind of amazed he had worked his way into a position like that.

Wow, Tuley-Tillman. That is about as agressive as I've seen a lineman play in one of the camp videos. That kid is gonna be a good one. He got burned a couple times but they always do, the drill heavily favors the DL.

I'm probably insane, but I have to say, I love that song. Another whole record that would work for this category: Royal Trux--Accelerator.
The seats would be cleared within two minutes if you played "Juicy Juicy Juice"

I like "that happened". Both Alec Baldwin and Will Ferrell have used it. So if nothing else, you're in good company.

I'm not a huge fan of the TE motion necessarily, but Steve Watson kind of sucks.I can see the play being a little bit different with A.J Williams as Watson (already squatting 415 in HS(!)).
I can see why the coaches would like it--Michigan has numbers to that side of the field. If the TE does to the linebacker what Lewan is doing to #94, it's FB on LB w/running room.
