The game means something to me. I dont like it when my team loses. Full stop. Also the reps would help. But i agree that the next season is more important.

a new word (backronym) and a new phrase. Not a bad day.

2-2 from 3 with 3 rebounds, 1 turnover 0 assists. No fouls, 16 pts.

Too many turnovers

Do they have the worst HD? I looked like Nantz and Anthony were in front of a green screen with the floor in the background, but that wouldn't make sense.
|4 days 3 hours ago||Gotta love fans||
Listening to Bill King the other day, a domer calls in. With their D-coach leaving for UConn, who does he want to hire? Narduzzi. King didn't even obther pointing out that Narduzzi was offered the job first, so why would he replace the guy who then took the job?
|4 days 3 hours ago||Great discussion||
My own 2 cents.
I didn't see this mentioned. But, the incoming class is too freaking big, so I'm fine with being a little more generous with the burning just to spread things out.
I'm completely on board with Bosch and Morris playing. My only lament is that Michigan didn't pound more guys so that Morris could get more snaps. My lament with Bosch is that he was needed. But, burning one OL shirt isn't so bad when you consider that we have 6 in the class.
I think there are two things that people should keep in mind if they're really angry. One, we don't see all of the nuances, especially the need for motivation, which was needed. I think you want to establish the principle that the best guy plays, so .... Obviously, that point allows for a discussion of whether someone whose shirt was burned was the best. Two, others with more experience can chime in, but my guess is that practice doesn't show anything. So why play Stribbling AND Lewis? Because you don't know.

We didn't get the old Secretariat pan-out so we could see the rest of the field trying to catch up to JP.

Manning had a great career, but I don't think he should have been 2nd in the voting.
|1 week 1 day ago||Burnt Orange on Bill King's show this morning||
Didn't catch a lot of it. The guy thought nothing was happening at the moment but that eventually Brown would be out. He figured that what would happen is that a set of donors so rich would sit the president down and explain to him how it was going to go.

|1 week 3 days ago||Weird game||
Not often you see a 3-0 game with no punts. It's even weirder watching the ESPN Gamecast, especially when Baylor has the ball.
Edit: An another field goal miss

You make me weep Wendyk5. Sunday nights when Markley wasn't serving dinner ...
I'd like to think you're not older than me.

It educates: the UFRs, the page plays, recruiting, etc.
It's a great source of news. Just today, it's where I found out that Petersen was set to go to Washington. I love the fact that I can hear rumors and be told, hey it's just a rumor.
It makes me think. The range of opinions let me know where the disagreements and ambiguities are, and I can judge the arguments to come to some determination of what I should think, even it it's not 100%.
It makes me laugh a whole lot. Many of you are freaking hilarious.
Finally, it's a community where I feel comfortable. I remember when Troy Woolfork, err. Wolfok destroyed his ankle. Mgoblog helped me get over literally my grief.
What I'd ask is that people keep this in mind when they feel that, "Darn it, I must be heard." If you're not contributing in the various ways above, can you just respect the community enough so that it's a lighter touch otherwise?

When Maryland and Rutgers are battling IU and PSU for the basement of whatever they're going to call our division that means the B1G is underrated.

Say "stands" and people complain about getting screwed. Say "confirmed" and well, "I guess there's some other replay available to them."
|2 weeks 4 hours ago||Luckily I'm in Geneva for the week||
So, I won't be tempted to watch.
I don't live in either state, so I don't have to put up with the fans in general, though in a 5-person office I got an OSU grad and a secretary dating a Sparty. Luckily I'm above them in the org chart, and so I don't have to put up with much either way.
What would bring me much joy is for OSU to win but get passed by Auburn. What would bring me the most pain is OSU in the NC game. I think the MSU team is filled with jackasses, but I think OSU cheats. So, while I wouldn't root for MSU over the space aliens from Independence Day, Sparty on.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||Stanford is up by only 7 v ND||
Geeze, does Stanford need to win next week to be in a BCS game. As I finish the post, ND is punting from its own 10 w/ 7-1/2 to go.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||Ohio will be interesting||
Ohio loses a lot on offense, but they have Urban and his scheme back. Rod Smith has not shown to be nearly the same Hyde became, but they have a lot of receiving experience.
They have a lot coming back on defense, but they have their defensive coaches coming back.
On D, their line will be excellent and deep. Bosa is a stud, an unlikeable bro and perfect for Ohio, but a stud nonetheless. LBs, meh except maybe Perry takes a step up. (I bet Shazier goes to the NFL.) The MLB Grant was not much this year, but he's young enough that he could developWere they in nickel the entire time? I can't recall an LB name called other than Perry and Shazier. They'll have talent in the secondary, but only Grant with experience. Two new starting safeties, we'll see.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||I did enjoy||
the bit of theater that happened right in front of me. (I was in row 71, sec 44, so was right on that high walk way). Apparently a young couple was moving around dodging ushers until found. Didn't think much of it when the usher told her that she was in trouble. Eventually the story came out that both of them were in a stall in the ladies bathroom.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||Not close to a third OSU||
A lot more than usual, to be sure, but it's the Game. It was closer to a third an hour and 1/2 before kickoff. Typically, visiotrs show up earlier. (My daughter insists on getting there when the gates open as she likes to heckle the opposition and cheer the recruits at the tunnel---so I've seen it a few times.)
Atmosphere was awesome. To be sure it was very quiet on the last drive.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||Pretty sure Ash's presence||
Pretty sure Ash's presence was an attempt to add beef given the success OSU had going up the middle. It's a real tough out when they can do that. I'm optimistic that that will be our future.
People in the stands were saying Clark said something to the OSU sideline. Might not have been the words so much as a taunting thing to the sideline. Was there some reporting on TV to the contrary?
|3 weeks 1 day ago||A minor benefit to Michigan/Hoke||
This earns Hoke more credibility down the road when he gets guys to agree to a greyshirt with the possiblity to convert to a full scholarship immediately. "Hey we told B Pallante there was a possibility and look what happened." That doesn't drive 5 starts to Ann Arbor, but it helps recruiting for depth on the margin.

|3 weeks 4 days ago||Disagree||
McGarry is our best player; Nik is our go-to guy when we need a bucket and will probably end up being the leading scorer. They aren't the same thing. Mitch is a good scorer, our best defender, clearly by far the best rebounder, might lead the team in steals by the end of the year, and provides the energy we need.

That the talk is that Hurst has a very fast first step and plays like Mike Martin (without being the ball of muscle). I think that was the scouting on Hurst coming in, so I don't know if it's what people are chattering about in practice all the time or what. That also does not make it false.
