OT: Afternoon games - general discussion

Submitted by Amazinblu on November 11th, 2023 at 5:21 PM

The 3:30 games are well underway and most are at halftime.

I’m still enjoying the post-game from that little soirée in Happy Valley today.

A couple of undefeated teams are in a fight.  Miami (YTM) and FSU are tied at the half.  Utah is leading Washington.  Oklahoma State is down big to UCF.  Mizzou leads Tennessee by a score of 13-7 as they start the second half.

Northwestern is leading Wisconsin.  Iowa has a commanding 3-0 lead over Rutgers.

Colorado and Arizona are tied up in the fourth quarter.

What are you watching?  What do you think of the play?  What’s grabbing your attention?

Enjoy.. Go Blue!

I've got Washington/Utah on the main TV. Miami/FSU on the second and Mizzou/Tennessee on the third.

Halftime of a couple of games so I'm going to finish out this Colorado/Arizona game.

Whittingam may be the 2nd best coach in college football.

Gotta say I expected more from Fickel. First year and all, but sheesh.

Iowa. Sigh. Oh, Iowa.

I watch a lot of cfb - Michigan looks like the best, most complete team out there.

I doubt 2 teams from any conference will make it this year, the only possibility would be if Bama goes into SEC championship with 1 loss and beats Georgia. In that scenario both would probably be in. But with FSU probably taking a spot and Washington, Oregon and Texas all sitting there would that keep OSU out? I don't know but cheering for them all to keep winning seems like the best plan.

You are correct, but there has not been a year recently where there were so many contenders this late in the season. If Bama beats Georgia that will shoot them up into the top 4, but if Washington and FSU win out and OSU loses to UM I don't think that they can maintain a spot in the top 4. Give Washington and FSU a loss and then yes OSU could potentially squeak in yet again. Texas and Oregon winning out could also make a case to be up there. It will be interesting for sure, UM just needs to keep winning and take care of business.

I just finished smoking a Arturo Fuente Gran Reserva cigar along with a Bells Eclipse in celebration of the win. Glad to see Arizona won, Wiscy losing, hoping both Rutger loses and Minny comes back to beat the Boilerwhiners, also hope FSU loses.

Iowa just scored a TD to go up but missed the 2-point try.  They're up 12-0 w/ 13-1/2 left in the 4th.

I get people boycotting other Big games.  I wouldn't mind a ruling though on whether a hierarchy is allowed and how that would be organized.  The top two are obvious.  Is there any reporting on who were particularly whiney bitches otherwise?  I guess Rutgers and Purdue might go on the list given their sign sharing.

Is anyone else emotionally drained? Up late last night waiting on the tro, up early waiting on it again. Stress till the game started… like damn. I’m trying to watch other games and am just drained
