OT: Afternoon games - general discussion
The 3:30 games are well underway and most are at halftime.
I’m still enjoying the post-game from that little soirée in Happy Valley today.
A couple of undefeated teams are in a fight. Miami (YTM) and FSU are tied at the half. Utah is leading Washington. Oklahoma State is down big to UCF. Mizzou leads Tennessee by a score of 13-7 as they start the second half.
Northwestern is leading Wisconsin. Iowa has a commanding 3-0 lead over Rutgers.
Colorado and Arizona are tied up in the fourth quarter.
What are you watching? What do you think of the play? What’s grabbing your attention?
Enjoy.. Go Blue!

I've got Washington/Utah on the main TV. Miami/FSU on the second and Mizzou/Tennessee on the third.
Halftime of a couple of games so I'm going to finish out this Colorado/Arizona game.

In your B1G West watch...NW is beating Wisconsin 24-3.
November 11th, 2023 at 5:29 PM ^
Not sure why anyone would be watching a big ten game at this point. The product is horrible outside of three teams and after the last week I don’t care if I ever watch another non-Michigan big then game again.
November 11th, 2023 at 5:42 PM ^
Normally, I like watching some other B1G games, and I root for most other conference teams to become bowl eligible. But I’ve lost interest in the other B1G teams after the last few weeks. We’re on an island now; everybody else doesn’t matter.

Habits are hard to break
November 11th, 2023 at 6:12 PM ^
I'm not watching on television to avoid giving anyone the ratings. I am following scores online though. Wisconsin wyd

Whittingam may be the 2nd best coach in college football.
Gotta say I expected more from Fickel. First year and all, but sheesh.
Iowa. Sigh. Oh, Iowa.
I watch a lot of cfb - Michigan looks like the best, most complete team out there.
Go Blue!
November 11th, 2023 at 5:48 PM ^
Whitingham and the Utes are very easy to cheer for.
November 11th, 2023 at 5:35 PM ^
Wisconsin looks awful
November 11th, 2023 at 5:57 PM ^
That they suck doesn't bother me in the least. NIL isn't going to do them any favors.
November 11th, 2023 at 5:35 PM ^
Coach Prime(TM) goes down. 4-6 now.
November 11th, 2023 at 5:42 PM ^
I'm not rooting against Sanders, but I am rooting for Jedd, so glad he got the win.
November 11th, 2023 at 5:46 PM ^
Northwestern's David Braun is going to exceed Coach Prime in wins if this holds up.
November 11th, 2023 at 6:14 PM ^
To be fair, wasn't Colorado's preseason O\U for wins something like 1.5? That roster is ass even with all the transfers they brought in.
November 11th, 2023 at 6:26 PM ^
It was 3.5, IIRC.
Northwestern also was coming off a 1-11 season, but they didn't bring in 70 transfers. This is seriously an excellent coaching job by Braun.
November 11th, 2023 at 5:41 PM ^
Good shit Jedd! Don’t look now U of A is 7-3. Impressive coaching job by Jedd Fisch.

So, to keep Ohio State out of the playoffs once we beat them, are we rooting for all of the undefeated teams?
November 11th, 2023 at 5:48 PM ^
I doubt 2 teams from any conference will make it this year, the only possibility would be if Bama goes into SEC championship with 1 loss and beats Georgia. In that scenario both would probably be in. But with FSU probably taking a spot and Washington, Oregon and Texas all sitting there would that keep OSU out? I don't know but cheering for them all to keep winning seems like the best plan.
November 11th, 2023 at 5:58 PM ^
If Alabama beats Georgia in the SEC title game, both teams will be in. Just like two years ago. And recall that Alabama won that game 41-17. We learned then and we learned last year with OSU that getting your ass handed to you as the #1 or #2 ranked team still keeps you in the playoff.
November 11th, 2023 at 6:06 PM ^
You are correct, but there has not been a year recently where there were so many contenders this late in the season. If Bama beats Georgia that will shoot them up into the top 4, but if Washington and FSU win out and OSU loses to UM I don't think that they can maintain a spot in the top 4. Give Washington and FSU a loss and then yes OSU could potentially squeak in yet again. Texas and Oregon winning out could also make a case to be up there. It will be interesting for sure, UM just needs to keep winning and take care of business.

Don't forget about Texas. They only have one loss and beat Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
November 11th, 2023 at 6:06 PM ^
Well, it does if you're OSU or Alabama anyway.
November 11th, 2023 at 5:44 PM ^
If you're not voting for JH, Moore, Hart, Jay or Minter does NW's Braun deserve consideration for coach of the year?
November 11th, 2023 at 5:47 PM ^
I just finished smoking a Arturo Fuente Gran Reserva cigar along with a Bells Eclipse in celebration of the win. Glad to see Arizona won, Wiscy losing, hoping both Rutger loses and Minny comes back to beat the Boilerwhiners, also hope FSU loses.
November 11th, 2023 at 5:50 PM ^
That’s a fine choice of cigar.. I hope you enjoyed every bit of it…
November 11th, 2023 at 7:19 PM ^
I did, very much, thanks. I need to get another one within the next 2 weeks, if you know what I mean.
November 11th, 2023 at 5:50 PM ^
Bowman is having an awful day at OkSU. 3 interceptions (tipped passes are a problem.)
November 11th, 2023 at 5:59 PM ^
Missouri is handling Tennesee. Wish they had done this last week against Georgia.
November 11th, 2023 at 6:37 PM ^
It's progressed to manhandling. Good for our Block M Brethren.
November 11th, 2023 at 6:00 PM ^
Watching Utes vs Penixes.

How in gods name is Iowa 7-2?
November 11th, 2023 at 6:20 PM ^
3 words: Big. Ten. West.
November 11th, 2023 at 6:12 PM ^
Iowa just scored a TD to go up but missed the 2-point try. They're up 12-0 w/ 13-1/2 left in the 4th.
I get people boycotting other Big games. I wouldn't mind a ruling though on whether a hierarchy is allowed and how that would be organized. The top two are obvious. Is there any reporting on who were particularly whiney bitches otherwise? I guess Rutgers and Purdue might go on the list given their sign sharing.

What an idiot in the UW game
November 11th, 2023 at 6:18 PM ^
What a boneheaded move. Dropping the ball at the 2 yard line.
November 11th, 2023 at 6:18 PM ^
Dumbass dropped tthe ball
November 11th, 2023 at 6:19 PM ^
Then the customary mouth gape.
November 11th, 2023 at 6:18 PM ^
The spirit of DeSean Jackson still alive and well in this UW-Utah game.
November 11th, 2023 at 6:18 PM ^
Washing DB had a pick six but dropped the ball on the one. Premature celebration and recovery by Utah
November 11th, 2023 at 6:19 PM ^
What was Utah thinking there?
November 11th, 2023 at 6:21 PM ^
Did they purposely get safetied? That play was so bad.
November 11th, 2023 at 6:22 PM ^
UW's Odunze. Talent. UW O looks damn good. Utah is also no slouch. Good game.
November 11th, 2023 at 6:46 PM ^
Is Iowa gonna piss off the Under bettors…single-handedly??
November 11th, 2023 at 6:53 PM ^
Is anyone else emotionally drained? Up late last night waiting on the tro, up early waiting on it again. Stress till the game started… like damn. I’m trying to watch other games and am just drained
November 11th, 2023 at 7:00 PM ^
5-way tie for 2nd in B1G West. Only Minnesota, Illinois, or Nebraska could keep Iowa from winning the West by winning twice and Iowa losing twice, I think.

Miami QB parents gotta be sick. Hopefully someone is on their way to get them so they can meet him at the ambulance.
