Craig James Not Returning to ESPN
Something that we've all been hoping for has finally happened: No more Craig James. Craig James is not returning to ESPN next year as per:
...ESPN spokesman Josh Krulewitz essentially eliminated the prospect of James returning to the network.
ESPN’s Krulewitz: “We have no intention of bringing Craig James back in the future.”
Thus ends the second tenure of James at ESPN, which began in 2003. James, whose ESPN contract expires before the 2012 football season, also worked for ESPN in the early ’90s following his NFL playing career.
While I am somewhat saddened by the prospect of not reading about how CRAIG JAMES KILLED 5 HOOKERS during Saturday liveblogs this fall, I am pretty happy that we don't have to hear his constant hatred of Michigan during every single game on ESPN.
Any thoughts on who will replace him?

I know, I know, it's SportsByBrooks but this article isn't a sensationalist one. Even if it was, the main take from the article and the quote is from an ESPN rep. I doubt that he's lying about it.
Oh, and even though the article is old, I did a bunch of searches and didn't see it posted.
Maybe he can get a job in the SMU compliance department.
he voted us the highest in the country of anyone in the final poll- 8th. http://www.pollspeak.com/component/option,com_psreport/Itemid,3/lang,en/p,36/p_1,36/r,T/r_1,T/s,17/s_1,17/t1,55/t1_1,55/t2,0/t2_1,0/v,14/v_1,14/w,16/w_1,16/

cause of the 5 dead hookers?
As you can probably tell, relatively new to the blog here (though longtime reader). I never understood the 5 dead hookers reference with regard to James (that's not to say it wasn't funny in and of itself). I guess what I'm asking is there anything behind the joke? Other than, you know, the idea of him and 5 dead hookers is amusing.
Do a google search for Craig James and how he caused 5 hookers to be dead.
Remember, it's never been CONCLUSIVELY proven that Craig James killed 5 hookers at SMU.
It's a running joke that was started (by EDSBS, I believe) after Texas Tech fired Mike Leach over the deal with James's son.
After reading about what happened, let me assure you this is no joke, my friend. This James guy is sick in the head.
when you hit 15,000 points. That's the only reason that I keep posting.
It was started by college football blog Everyday Should be Saturday saying that the idea that Mike Leach put Craig James' son in a hot box or whatever it was was as dumb as the idea that Craig James killed 5 hookers.

He's running for Senate (or RAN for Senate) and was kind of outspoken about his anti-gay opinions
I'm surprised they even brought him back for his second run at ESPN considering CRAIG JAMES KILLED FIVE HOOKERS WHILE AT SMU.
Allegedly
I think they had to give it some time to let the process play out, to determine whether those rumors about the suspicious deaths of those HOOKERs were true. But now, who can blame them for firing him after the truth is out - the truth that he allegedly KILLED five HOOKERS!

Craig James has a voice like Ron Burgandy
Ron Burgandy has a voice that could make a Wolverine purr.
Therefore Craig James has a voice that could.... DOES NOT COMPUTE.
He definitely likes Brady Hoke a lot. He kept plugging his candidacy during the Gator Bowl fiasco.
Everyone likes Brady Hoke. But not everyone likes KILLING 5 HOOKERS WHILE AT SMU..... potentially.

I clearly remember James saying that Brady Hoke was the best prepared coach and one of the most impressive people he had talked to during the season and that he would be a great fit at Michigan. James may have been bad at other things but on this account he could not have been any more accurate.

He likes Brady because he was one of the people that did the announcing of the Poinsettia Bowl that SDSU destroyed Navy in. He spent most of that game gushing over how awesome Brady was. (No, really. I just watched the game online. The Hoke love came a little before the half and just kept on going.) Before that game, most of the national media hadn't really spent that much time with Brady. So the one (only?) thing Craig James did right, being one of the first people on the national scale NOT associated with Michigan to really see and call Hoke for the coach he is.
Allegedly

That you Rome?
Listening to his commentary, you'd think our players barely knew how to walk, let alone play football.
yay! I feel like I accomplished something with my life. Now to ensure he doesn't stage a comeback.
The rumor is:
CRAIG JAMES KILLED FIVE HOOKERS.
That took too long.

You seem a tad misguided. Clearly if enough people claim that CRAIG JAMES KILLED FIVE HOOKERS, it must be true.
March 13th, 2012 at 10:24 PM ^
CRAIG JAMES DID not KILL 5 HOOKERS WHILE AT SMU.
Edit: DOH!
For the sake of Lions fans and most everyone, let's hope we don't see more of Matt Millen. He had a great speach during the JoePA thing, but I still can't respect his knowledge of the game.

....for Craig James was fairly positive about Michigan on many occasions.
No matter, we'll always remember his tenure at ESPN for his "thoughtful" analysis. Indeed, here he is, analyzing....
you sir, made my night with that picture
Looks like a face one would make if they Jizzed. In. Their pants.
(Or killed five hookers)
Is this worth the gif of the white kid dancing?
Erin Andrews also isn't returning to ESPN.
Not after she was mistaken for a hooker dressing like that...

When she dressed like a hooker did Craig James go into a boiling rage and try to kill her?
