Numbers came from his blog. |
| 2 weeks 5 days ago | 2012 Predictions |
Here's what he forecasted for 2012 (Final AP Rank in parentheses): 1) USC (lulz) 2) Bama (1) 3) LSU (14) 4) Okla (15) 5) Oregon (2) 6) Georgia (5) 7) FSU (10) 8) MICHIGAN (24) 9) So Carolina (8) 10) Arkansas (nr) 11) WVU (nr) 12) Wisc (nr) 13) Mich St (nr) 14) Clemson (11) 15) Texas (19) 16) VaTech (nr) 17) Nebraska (25) 18) Ohio (3) 19) Ok St (nr) 20) TCU (nr) 21) Stanford (7) 22) Kansas St (12) 23) Florida (9) 24) Louisville (13) 25) Boise St (18)
So, 8 of his predicted top25 teams ended up not being ranked. I know he's supposively the best prognosticator, but that was a pretty poor job he did.

Via PSU: "Contrary to the reporter's assertions, Dr. Sebastianelli remains the doctor in charge of the University's entire medical program for intercollegiate athletics, including football. Further, there has been no change in the support provided by State College-based Penn State orthopedic surgeons, including Dr. Sebastianelli." |

| 5 weeks 1 day ago | Different formulas/data??? |
Seth - you call the metric "YRPR" and Football Outsiders call the metric "RYPR". Also, the values you have don't match the values they list on their site. Why the discrepency? |
| 5 weeks 5 days ago | Yep, overrated |
So, A&M finished 3rd in the SEC West, beat the crap out of OU (1st in the Big12) by 27 pts. If that makes the SEC overrated, then what does that mean the Big12 is? |
| 6 weeks 5 days ago | Great card |
Great card, especially if you do a lot of Amazon purchases (3%). Like most cards, you should pair it with another card. I suggest the Chase Freedom to get the 5% back on certain categories. |
| 6 weeks 5 days ago | 10-2 |
My Quick Projection: 10-2. We win one of the three tough games CMU W ND TossUp Akron W @UConn W Minn W @PSU W Ind W @MSU W Neb W @NW TossUp @Iowa W Ohio TossUp B1G ? Bowl ?

A&M fans use LOUD VOICES and Kyle Field as it is is incredibly loud. Add 20k more fans and reshape the stadium to funnel more noise back on the field is going to result in some unpleasant times for the opposing team's QB. |

| 16 weeks 1 day ago | This season: All BigTen |
He's not beating out Johnny Football for the Heisman. However, he can be 1st team All BigTen. Had he enough starts to qualify this past season, Gardner's QB rating would've placed him 8th in the nation |
| 16 weeks 1 day ago | Flawed Methodology |
Not to sound like a downer, but I'm not a big fan of how you're attempting to compare Hoke's classes to Saban's classes with your Impact metric. If a player hasn't played (e.g., currently redshirting), he gets a value of 1. The problem comes when you compare the class to Saban's. Because Saban has been at Bama longer, we already know how his players turn out, which gives them (usually) a value of 2 or 3. So, right away, it's unfair to compare their classes using your metric. It's an interesting idea, but I think analysis should be done in a few years. |

I check the site a couple times a day. There are some poor pieces (Oklahoma) but it's still a great site |

1) I hate baseball due to all the agony being an Astros fan has caused me. 2) Biggio and Bagwell should definitely be voted in, especially Biggio. |
| 23 weeks 2 days ago | 8 WRs are needed |
A&M loses 4 WRs to graduation. With the air-raid offense deploying 4-5 WRs per play and A&M running the hurry-up, they need about 10 contributers per game. |
| 23 weeks 2 days ago | Early Enrollees |
2012 was a relatively small class. On top of that, several of those players were able to be backdated to 2011 due to EE. Thus, technically, A&M had a tiny 2012 class. So, A&M is able to get a ton of recruits for 2013 via EE. IMO, the whole recruiting numbers things is kinda odd, but A&M is playing by the rules. There's no St. Nick Saban Memorial Hospital shenanigans going on. A&M does have a TON of WR commits. One of them, Griffin (4*/5*) is not expected to make it in due to grades. WRs recognize the chance to play with JFF and that 4-5 WRs are on the field at any time. |
