He didnt have to get out of the car, but he did. So it is HIS fault for the behavior of the jackasses? They should be held to a higher standard than a 12 year old.
When I was a kid, we pelted cars with snowballs, and when one would pull over we ran our asses off to not get caught. I think I was in 6th grade and I knew it was not ok. But when you are a football player at a major program, you think you can do what you want. That was not just guys having fun. They are adults, or close enough to it to evaluate right from wrong.

Most people with the "lighten up" attitude are not part of the grown up society where a.) they have to go somewhere like work, or have life stresses where they can't/don't feel like getting out of the car to play in the snow; and b.) they actually empathize with someone who is a victim of the mob mentality.
How bout, the dude just did not want to participate? That should be enough in a civilized society.

For staying where he wanted to be, and taking the job he wanted. Clearly he has a value system that he is following, and it likely doesn't resemble yours, and doesn't appear to be all about prestige or making the most money.
Not that its not a great job. It absolutely is. It is not an iconic program, but that place is beautiful, and has a great football atmosphere.
I love the Pac10, and its awesome that Sarkesian, Mora, RichRod, Peterson, ((dude from ASU??)) are all there. Gonna be fun to watch!

I just don't hear him whining in the manner you are portraying him. The fans may be saying all this, but not Hoke.

my realization exactly. I'm a Amazon Prime addict. Will direct my activities through MGB now.
We should have quarterly reminders of this stuff.

I was clueless about the type of support of going to Amazon through MGoBlog (sorry!!).
Does this apply to anything on Amazon, or just the Michigan stuff, or stuff that shows up when the Amazon link is clicked?
DOH! I will change this behavior. This is an easy one.

Great game. Relieved we didn't get crushed, but then disappointed to be so close. I hate the Buckeyes.
I have always been more forgiving of coaches, even before having kids. One reason is that I've seen great coaches that have built up programs into powerhouses, and then ethical problems have brought them down. (USC for one more recent example). I have always wanted a clean program for Michigan over a flashy coach, and over dynasty status. Also, I am more concerned about ripping the rug out just when things seem like they're going to be really good. I felt like RichRod got a crappy deal because he made such broad sweeping changes, and the fan base was just too impatient. It wouldn't be "Michigan" Football...but he was the guy we hired, so I felt more patient. I'm totally on board with Hoke. I'm not hyper critical of the coaches yet--although I am getting there, since the offense was declining and it seemed like the morale seemed like a mess. However, because they came out and played so solid, and showed clear improvement, I was more happy with the overall performance, and that outweighs the loss IMO. I (like most non-Borges haters probably) just want to see them turn it around so we can keep continuity, and hopefully build back up to 10+ wins/season, and then get the chance for the special season ('97) a little more often.
So, the short of that long explanation is, I am pretty happy with the outcome, based on my expectations were going into the game.

Consider it done.

playing longer than he should on that knee/leg. The combination of us not stopping their run, no reliable kicking and Devin playing on one leg with being one play/3 yards away, seems like a no brainer.
