Yes this deserves a thread - RCMB totally unhinged, seething, waling right now.

971 state fan callers losing their minds on the air.

the four additional suspensions has pushed them over the edge, they are despondent right now

Shout out to the 97.1 the ticket caller “Rob” who had a “they got what they deserved” take on the air before Wojo dropped the call.

friggin animal fanbase. You out of town alums really don’t know how good you have it not sharing a state with these complete clowns.

I hear this a lot. I also don't know how anyone who isn't a Spartan fan listens to 97.1 in the afternoons. They've done a lot to increase the toxicity of that fan base. They even got the fanbase to turn on Dantonio - the guy that put them back on the map. Insane.

i know other people have had different experiences but every buckeye fan i have met have been good people. i have had zero negative interactions and i wear my michigan gear everywhere

i don't see any sparty fans/hats/bumper stickers, etc here, so that's nice.

I live in Kentucky, right near TN. All I hear is S E C shit all the time. Makes me want to throw up. The weird thing in Kentucky is how even when Ky goes down, they’ll root for any instate school (except for Louisville) to win and also any SEC school. This is especially true in basketball.

Louisville and Kentucky hate each other just as much as Michigan State and Michigan do.

Football isn't as big, down here, so basketball is king.  So, Kentucky is essentially the Michigan in this scenario.  Super successful and all time winningest program vs instate rival who hates being the afterthought.

Louisville used to be able to brag about Football dominance, but not anymore.  Kind of like MSU and Michigan basketball.

The similarities are endless, actually.  😂

Agreed, I’ve lived in or near Lexington for over 23 years, very similar. UK Bball fans are sort of like Bama football fans and get kind of offended when they find out you could care less about the outcomes of the games. But the folks I know here have come to respect my Michigan fandom so it’s all good.

Louisville definitely has sort of little bro complex with UK, but UK fans and their media are pretty obnoxious…and Louisville also has a sort of bad rep with the shadiness Petino was involved in while there and just sort of being a school that you might consider on the “wrong side of the tracks”, literally. Going to that campus and area of town in Louisville is akin to crossing 8 mile.

I've spent a lot of time in eastern Kentucky; my wife has family in the area, including her mother. I haven't seen much of this. They're all in on UK, of course, and you see the occasional Ohio State, Marshall or West Virginia hat.

But I've also seen Michigan gear, including one of the aides at my mother-in-law's nursing home.

This, I live in SF also and Spartans are very few and far between, the tiny number that do make it out here tend be be somewhat reasonable. Pretty much the same for Buckeyes.

It is fun to humor Stanford and Cal people about their HUGE bitter rivalry. 🙄
