This list is completely arbitrary and not a genuine analysis of the relative merits of state fossils.

Getting Diana Rigg for it was probably a big reason behind the expanded role and I agree as she was one of my favortie side characters in the books(although I am extremely disappointed that Left and Right have not been included as of yet).

In the books his knife shattered so he lost it anyway. Not sure why they didn't have it shatter, but otherwise like the way they carried the scene off. |

Reaction thread should be interesting for sure. |
| 1 day 3 hours ago | That's why they're splitting |
That's why they're splitting book three into two seasons and part of why this season has been slow in parts. I also think next episode is going to focus pretty heavily on one particular story that should tie off a lot of threads at once. |

It was the inspiration for an interesting way to pass time in the offseason. There should be enough degrees of separation there for you. |

| 2 weeks 13 hours ago | It depends on how you look at |
It depends on how you look at it. Martin seems to be working on a fantasy deconstruction in which he does go after more self-interested characters. He does this incredibly well and his looking at the motivations of different characters is interesting. However, he lost control of the series and is having trouble getting it back in because he can't seem to figure out that not everything has to be shown in detail, I think he also has a bit of a "screw you" streak and kills off characters who can be interpreted to be more "good" because he knows fans typically latch onto them and he enjoys screwing with people. I do think he has a worldview that makes him uncomfortable with the concepts of good and evil and so he does away with the concepts in the book. I'm with Seth in that I do get a little tired at how relentlessly awful some of the people in the books are and how much he revels in it(the story about the Mountains men with the innkeepers daughter in the second book being a prime example of unnecessary detail). This is my favorite series by far but only because I am heavily invested in certain characters, but am becoming more ambivalent about the series as a whole. That said the Dunk and Egg series of Martin's is a great little break and does well with presenting a more traditional protagonist. |
| 2 weeks 3 days ago | Seems fair. The interior |
Seems fair. The interior o-line was a total mess and there's no reason they shouldn't take a wait and see approach. The defense is good but lacks playmakers now that there's no Ryan. I think Michigan will be better than this, but I can see the reason for skepticism. |

Given that the team seemed to be losing ALL OF THE WALK-ONS this year, I think this great. I hope he's happy with his decision and hope he can push Spike and Derrick. Welcome young Andrew. |
| 3 weeks 9 hours ago | Agreed! This season there |
Agreed! This season there are several major scenes in terms of action and emotional impact in the books and seeing how they translate onto the screen was always going to be a major test. So far they're pulling it off with aplomb in my opinion. The slave revolt in the previous episode and Jamie's confession in the tub this episode are indicators that some great stuff is yet to come. And for thos curious the mjor event this season is built around happens about halfway through book three, so they're doing a good job of ensuring a two season for one book approach will work.

Fantastic news and nice to have a tackle prospect on board. Welcome Jabril! |
| 3 weeks 1 day ago | There're still many running |
There're still many running backs out there and Michigan will get a good one. Notre Dame will always get their share of players as well, so as long as we're not losing every recruiting battle to them(like we were for awhile), it's best to just shrug and move along. |
| 3 weeks 1 day ago | Because the Bran walk is |
Because the Bran walk is pretty boring until later in the season. That and there are some major plotlines that got set up in this episode. I loved what they did in this episode, especially with Jamie's confession in the bath and his lines to refuse the painkiller. |

Benefits of having a consistent franchise philosophy is that your scouting and personnel evaluations look for the same traits so it's easy to be patient and get the best value. It's why I wish I had some sort of reason to root for the Steelers as it would make my life much easier. Alas, I grew up a Raiders fan and live in Michigan now, so........ I'm screwed. |

This is why the Bills are the Bills. If nothing else a simlar QB could have been had in the 2nd round or even later. |
| 3 weeks 4 days ago | He's a boom or bust type and |
He's a boom or bust type and I think most people are rightly skeptical of a guy who was a workout warrior without much production against mediocre competition. The name Mike Mamula comes to mind here. It's also typical of a Lions draft philosophy that emphasizes boom potential, but doesn't seem to value risk properly. It's frustrating and I think people would rather see the Lions just make a bunch of safe, solid picks rather than watch Mayhew esperately try to prove he's a genius. So yeah the torch and pitchfork route is somewhat appropriate. |

I thought the Lions were supposed to hire a guy this year to act as a common sense filter for the draft room. I'm guessing it's time to fire him. Browns with Mingo, hmmmm......... What a weird draft so far. |

I don't know about that with the pre-gaming. My MBA buddies seemed to think that getting that one last round in of flip-cup was important enough to be late. I disagreed and left early(establishing seating for the group), but it's a definite thing that if no consequences or even incentives are provided for showing up on time then this is the behavior you get. I like the GA idea, at least it's a step in the right direction. |

I don't see why, WTKA is always looking for content and has interviewed players parents in the past(usually in conjunction with the player, I think). But I'm guessing the station approached him and he said yes. I'd hold off on thinking it's a problem until the interview is over.

It'd be nice, but the presence of Devin(rightfully) is going to give a lot of graduate transfers pause. If we're getting anyone it would be a juCo guy, but even that is iffy. |
