All of these look boring. Snooze fest. I’ll be reading a book and going to church then dinner hopefully. Next year this would be quarter finals day. Can’t wait.

If any of you gamble on bowl games (I don’t) what is your strategy? So far both underdogs are winning, plus with all the transfers and coaching changes. Just curious on your strategy?

The downside of the playoff and the portal is that it's completely destroyed bowl season.

I used to love binging on obscure bowl games during the holidays, seeing some players I hadn't previously gotten a chance to, and catching a handful of certified thrillers.

Now everyone's opted out and fanbases don't care.

Random thought: It sucks to be a service academy in the portal era!

Edit: Although I’m guessing someone could portal IN!? So maybe it’s same-ol-same-ol for them?

Not really.

After your Sophomore year you have to pay a pretty stiff penalty to leave so you have to prove yourself a D1 level player in the first two years.  When you consider Air Force is a developmental program you’re not looking at a ton of the top players leaving.

Even before the portal there was no redshirting so if a guy was good he could leave before Junior year with no real penalty.  There was a linebacker who went to Ohio St. back in the 2000’s, but it’s not a common occurrence.  The kids going to Air Force aren’t the guys who are going to get NIL anyway, so there will probably be a lot of stability at Air Force which in the portal era will likely be a point of strength I would think.

Also anyone going to the Academy has to do the full four year program and much like Michigan they don't really take transfer credits, so you'll probably never see that happen.

Go Utah!!! May all Big Ten teams not named Michigan lose by 100 this bowl season!

All of those bastards voted to "punish the university" and suspend Jim. I don't think their thirst for blood will be satiated untill coach is gone. Fuck them all!!
