Wow, did not expect an Ohio journalist to write something like this! Good for him...it's not just Michigan fans!

I have a couple of friends that are big OSU fans. They have insisted that Harbaugh would not leave the NFL and that Michigan looked like a fool. Ah....I can't wait to chat with them!

My thought is if all the blame is on the youth of the line (which is a joke), shouldn't the coaching staff have seen this coming? One thing they could have done is went and got a couple of experienced linemen from a junior college to help the transition. .

The entire state of Nebraska revolves around Husker football. I have not spent much time in SEC land, but I can not imagine another location more emotionally attached to one sports team than Nebraksa.

I used to live in Lakewood, but its been 7 years. I used to watch all the Lions games at the Ram, which is a brew-pub national chain. Very good beer and lots of big-screens. Worth looking in to.

McGuffie has had at least 2 100 yard rushing games, in situations where the entire defense knew that Michigan was going to run (becuase they couldn't throw more than 2 yards downfield). Granted, defenses have been playing the run all year, but the line did improve later in the season.
Minor and Brown can make a 2 yard gain, out of what McGuffie would have a 1 yard loss. When your offense has pretty much a zero downfield threat, a bruiser is what you need. But when the spread starts to work (ie room to run), McGuffie is much quicker, and shiftier, than Brown or Minor.
Can you remember how many losses Barry had for those horrile lions teams? Barry had to contend with a defender on his back the instant he had the ball, but he ended his career as the most electrifiying (and greatest) running back to ever play. If he had played on those Cowboys teams that Emmitt did, he would have had multiple 2,000 yard seasons. When RR get's a qb that defenses have to respect, McGuffie will excel.

Yes, it all comes back to him....
You guys seem to know what level of competition these highschoolers play. What was McGuffies? I've heard it was some of the best. To put up those numbers, against the best competition, all we need to do is hand it off to him, right?!
|7 years 4 weeks ago||Utah Game||I think that the intrigue of a major change at Michigan would make their opening game of national interest. USC is big, but they are playing Virgina and will destroy them. Not much of a game, really. The Utah - Michigan game, well who the heck knows! I PRAY that the local station in Omaha broadcasts Michigan, because I don't have cable!|
|7 years 7 weeks ago||agree||Based upon HS stats and competition, McGuff outshines Grady. There is a much larger upside with Sam.|
|7 years 7 weeks ago||McGuff||When did he arrive on campus?? I hope RR gives him a real chance this season! His acceleration is ubelievable... One thing that kind of bugs me about his detractors, is that they say he did nothing in the AA game down in San Antonio. If I'm not mistaken, wasn't he the most productive running back? The only back to actually 'break' a long gain? I know it was late in the game, but what does that matter. If it were easier, why didn't any other backs break long ones in the 4th quarter?|
