Apparently he's added a bit of weight since college -
Carries it well though :)
|38 weeks 5 days ago||Exactly||
I just moved to Seattle this summer. Moving to the west coast was really healthy for my overall fandom. No more ruined days because we lost. The game's over by noon/3pm. I am still (relatively) sober, and can get over it and go do something productive.
And maybe because of that, I am not emotionally exhausted by the season and am really excited to go see my first bowl game. Got great seats on the 50yd line for a reasonable price and hotels look pretty reasonable too. So, I am leaving tomorrow and driving my way down to Tempe with the wife over the next week. Should be a fun trip!

Gardner panicked a little bit. he had the conversion if he'd run or had gallon coming open behind Dileo. And they didn't change the bloody play after Ohio's timeout.
Absolutely the right call though. Loved it.

8 free throws missed and 3 more potential free throws not taken because of missed front ends of 1-1s. Despite being we would still be in this game if we didn't tighten up and be woeful at the line.

But seriously, I have ACLs done on both knees. Did patella graft on one, and hamstring with the other. Looking back I would have done patella on the other knee too. My hamstring has never been the same since the surgery.
And get surgery. I went two years without surgery on my left knee after tearing my ACL (long story), and really messed it up. Ended up badly tearing my meniscus as well and having to lose a chunk off it. I am fully resigned to arthritis by 40. I just hope they have some awesome replacement knee by then and I can finally be part-transformer :)
But post-surgery has been fine. There are still random aches and pains and the knee never got back to feeling completely normal, but I play sports, can run around, and have no problems with instability or anything else. The rehab is long, and it sucks, but really really push yourself. The key to full recovery and getting your strength back is being diligent about your rehab.

Good to hear from him that he is doing well and still has his hunger to return and play after what was a really gruesome injury. Nice read, thanks for posting.

Wow. That was just brutal. I had to turn that off (haven't done that in a long long time). That was an ass-kicking if ever there was one. This team will not go far in March if they cannot step up their physicality.

I am confused. This is mgoblog. I always assume everyone is male unless proven otherwise (with pics, and even then 50% chance of being Ronaiah). I made no assumptions on Dix's marital status either. Dix needs someone to take care of his/her daughter and luckily there is one trustworthy(?) adult in Bloomington with nothing going on!

Well.. just drive up your daughter and have the boyfriend look after her. Done and done.

It does go crazy every once in a while and take almost all of the CPU. I usually kill the app after using it. It seemed like the problems started after I upgraded to ICS. The app has kinda been abandoned (or at least there has been no update in ages), and I think something with the new flavors of Android doesn't play well with the app. I use Watchdog Lite to warn me when an app goes above a certain threshold of CPU usage, and the Mgoblog app frequently gets flagged for going nuts. I just make sure I kill it every time I am done using it instead of just "back"ing out of it.

Also, to me he seems a little more loquacious than he is now. Seems like he doesn't have his guard up as much. Interesting.

I have a nice big smile on my face after reading that. Just love this defense. The Demens play where he doesn't tear after the QB but instead recognizes the delayed wheel route out of the backfield was awesome. Awesome not in the physically gifted player making insanely athletic play, but in the sort of nerdy way where superior preparation and coaching puts you in a position to succeed. We are doing this with no obious freaks of nature (except perhaps Ryan?) but purely by playing sound assignment defense and excellent preparation.

This is great. I sought out this post thinking it would be more hand-wringing over a 3-star recruit with career trajectory predicted as riding the bench and maybe break into a starting role as an upper classman. Instead this is mostly bewilderment at his sub-par offers given his awesome highlight tape and general excitement about his commitment. I love it than Brian and co. aren't blindly taking the recruiting services at their word but instead doing their own assessments and giving their honest opinions. It seems like the consensus on this thread was that he would battle for time soon, if not immediately then after a redshirt year and that has pretty much borne out!
|1 year 47 weeks ago||Was thinking the same thing||
Was thinking the same thing myself. I watched the game in a bar, and remember thinking that was the stop they needed to hold them to a FG, given the penalty prior to that and MSU's momentum. Watched the replay for the first time now and it is even better than I'd remembered it. Thomas Gordon had a number of other good plays in the game. Even on the long completion, he still had pretty solid coverage. It just turned out to be one of those slightly underthrown balls that guys like Junior Hemingway made a living on.

I believe the rule is unless the D-lineman makes contact he can jump back and forth across the neutral zone prior to the ball being snapped. If the ball is snapped while the defensive player is in the neutral zone, that's offsides, but in this case, Roh was in the neutral zone, but the O-lineman jumped just an instant before the ball was snalled and hence the false start. Was close though.

Haha, I did think about that. But the Celtics practice facility is close to my place and I actually addressed him by name and he acknowledged who he was.

I know not exactly related to this post but I just ran into Jared Sullinger at a Subway near my house. He looked leaner than I expected and seemed surprised at being recognized. I was rocking my Michigan sweatshirt. I said Hi, he glanced at my shirt said nice to meet you and ran out.
My cool story bro moment for the day.
|1 year 47 weeks ago||Yup the app frequently goes||
Yup the app frequently goes nuts and consumes 100% of CPU. Especially on ICS and above. Use an app like watchdog lite that warns you if an app is taking a lot of the CPU and allows you to kill it. Typically I just kill the app if I am done with it rather than 'back' out of it (I use cyanogen, long pressing the back button kills the app).
The dev had plans to update the app, but he seems to have gotten busy or decided to abandon it unfortunately.

Wifi + 3g. But yeah, still a lot, and almost all of it on browsing with a little youtube :) But thought that would be more instructive from a fraction of data used on mgoblog perspective.
|1 year 47 weeks ago||I just checked my usage to||
I just checked my usage to confirm, I've used 5.57 gb of data in the last month and 213 mb on the mgoblog. Also I am chronically addicted and use this app more than any other on your phone, so YMMV.

I believe so. It definitely loads faster than when viewed on the browser. A lot of the text/graphic elements, that exist on every mgo page is not loaded. I haven't measured it in actual bytes but I am going to guess it is pretty significantly lower.

You can only access the all traffic profile if you are a current student or faculty. They recently introduced a alumni-retiree which is the only one you can use to connect if you are an alum. And as far as I can tell, you cannot access UM IPTV if connected to that profile.

Pics of wife or GTFO!

The rest of them are weak. Your wife is hypothetically going to be with you forever, but Michigan - Michigan State 2012 will never happen again in your lifetime. I believe if you are not in the country, BTN lets you buy either a game or a package of games for streaming online. I would look into that option. Will be the best quality stream you'll find.

My issue is simple. RCN in Boston simply does not carry the BTN. It does not exist in their channel lineup in this area. Not in the premium, sports or any other package. Which basically means I either change my cable service for maybe 3 days a year, or watch a crappy illegal stream or go to a bar.
