Sounded like Michael Rothstein. If it was, then yes, it does seem like everyone hates him. Hoke usually replies to his questions with a death stare and a one word answer.

coachspeak. For example, we have heard all about "technique" this year from every defensive player interviewed. Mattison gives the technique meme context in these remarks. He also gives greater insight into the adjustments he is making during the game and doesn't dumb it down for the media/audience.
I think Mattison knows he is going to have a very good, possibly elite defense in the not so distant future. He wants to win this year, of course, but he is continously working on his 2013 and 2014 teams, too.

It is pretty exciting to have all those young, talented guys. It would be nice not to have a mediocre season, however. But even if we do, hope is a beautiful thing.
