Michigan vs. SVSU Highlights

Where is this play-by-play guy from? Australia?
November 2nd, 2019 at 9:19 AM ^
Isaiah Liv-ahs. . . My first thought "did Terry Mills just get back from Sydney?"

I wasn't able to watch the game so thanks for the highlights. Even from that short clip it really makes you realize how hard being a good announcer is. Maybe I should cut announcers a bit more slack...
November 2nd, 2019 at 8:29 AM ^
I kept waiting for the announcer to say, “...and boom goes the dynamite!”
November 1st, 2019 at 10:55 PM ^
Thanks for this. It was great to watch.
Brandon Johns?? He looked like a stud, right? Wasn't that him hitting 3's and then creating a little off the dribble? I know it's SVSU, but I like the looks of the offense. (I admit I didn't have the volume up.)

You're welcome for the highlights. Yeah BJ looked a lot better than last year. I would have liked to see a little more from Teske as I think him having a good year is really what this team would need to be successful. Livers looked amazing, Castleton looked good and we have officially seen the return of the Sky Hook.
November 1st, 2019 at 10:56 PM ^
This team is gonna look so different in 2 years. Gonna be a big change.
November 2nd, 2019 at 12:09 AM ^
We are going to score a lot more points, but also give up more.

Here is a link to the box score. A few things stand out...Livers led the team with 20 pts. John's was 4-5 fg and 2-3 from 3. Brooks 10-10 from the free throw line??
November 1st, 2019 at 11:17 PM ^
Brooks also with 10 rebounds!
November 1st, 2019 at 11:04 PM ^
Been waitin 3 and a half years for that Davis slam. Awesome.

Love how livers looked
November 1st, 2019 at 11:37 PM ^
In a perfect world we'd all look how Livers loves.
November 1st, 2019 at 11:14 PM ^
Awesome, thanks for posting.
November 1st, 2019 at 11:15 PM ^
Livers looks svelte and much more decisive as a scorer. Nice to see Johns stroking some threes. If nothing else, this promises to be one of the most interesting Michigan basketball seasons.

Thanks for posting.

No problem for the post, but I didn’t make the video. Should’ve mentioned that in the post.
November 1st, 2019 at 11:23 PM ^
from the highlights you wouldn't know that UM shot 41% from the field and only 29% from 3. they desperately need wagner for his scoring to improve those numbers. i listened to much of the game via mgoblue.com and UM went about 6 min in a first half stretch with just one basket.
obviously the D will still be there every night but i am worried about the offense.
November 2nd, 2019 at 1:09 AM ^
That’s on par with the offense from last year, so if that’s the floor I’d say Juwan is already a success
November 2nd, 2019 at 6:38 AM ^
D wasn’t there tonight. Way too many layups for SVSU.
November 2nd, 2019 at 10:00 AM ^
Their PPP was around 0.7 (don't have the exact number). Not sure what you expected.
November 2nd, 2019 at 12:10 PM ^
i believe in the post game the announcer said they shot low 30s% overall and 20% from 3. i will take that.
November 1st, 2019 at 11:31 PM ^
Lol that was like watching a Fiba match between Argentina and the Philippines
November 1st, 2019 at 11:32 PM ^
I just want to know after watching that video who had “a rocky transition” and who has a bad reputation?
November 1st, 2019 at 11:39 PM ^
They basically ran SVSU off the court with better athletes and play-makers....said it earlier - this team will be fine offensively because of Simpson/Teske/Livers - Simpson will create shots for people who can knock them down - need to establish a second consistent outside threat after Livers because sorry, DDJ is just a chucker/volume shooter and Brooks has a mechanically flawed jump-shot - I was happy with Johns but will it translate against better competition - ditto CC...saw someone say it earlier that defense will be a concern - I tend to agree - I spotted some concepts defensively that they got away from that JB's teams were sound in.....that is alarming to me...they definitely can pull out 20 wins but unless we find some players after this year, we may struggle for a few seasons after these seniors depart....just an honest assessment.
November 2nd, 2019 at 12:20 AM ^
Well we already have a 5 star and Zeb Jackson coming in next year, so that seems like a start
November 2nd, 2019 at 7:47 AM ^
Next, you'll be telling me we're selling jerseys in ohio!

Next, you'll be telling me we're selling jerseys in ohio!
November 2nd, 2019 at 12:37 AM ^
That's a lot of assessment based on 40 minutes of exhibition basketball.
November 2nd, 2019 at 1:00 AM ^
Was the D really an issue? Based on the box score it looks like it was an up tempo game and our O came it around or even blow 1 PPP...that really never happened under Belein since his early years
November 2nd, 2019 at 2:08 AM ^
Looks like Johns is ready to take that Sophomore leap, I hope Nunez comes with him. Livers will need to stay active and aggressive.

November 2nd, 2019 at 8:08 AM ^
Based on his experience, it's hard not to believe Franz Wagner isn't going to have a significant impact once he is ready to play. I'm not believing the prognosticators, I think we'll be a top 20 team by the end of the season.
November 2nd, 2019 at 3:44 AM ^
I didn’t watch the game, but judging from the comments here it sounds like the offense wasn’t hitting on all cylinders. That definitely proves that Howard is a disaster who should be fired because we all know that Beilein’s squads never ever looked like they had to work out some rust and kinks early in the season. Right?
November 2nd, 2019 at 6:08 AM ^
I checked out the YouTube version and right after our game was a mini on Kentucky - Kentucky State, which the Wildcats won 83-51 so there are other squads still getting it together at this way-to-early junction.
November 2nd, 2019 at 7:57 AM ^
So you're saying Michigan as already as good as Kentucky is?
Final Four - here we come!!!!
November 2nd, 2019 at 8:46 AM ^
That was my takeaway from his comment too. I mean, if the transitive property is good enough for mathematics, it’s good enough for basketball...right?
November 2nd, 2019 at 4:00 AM ^
Thanks! Nice to see Nunez drain some good-looking shots!
November 2nd, 2019 at 4:54 AM ^
Jesus, those have to be the softest rims I've ever seen at Crisler.
November 2nd, 2019 at 6:04 AM ^
BASKETBALL, WHOO!!!
November 2nd, 2019 at 7:05 AM ^
I love the tempo. Pretty much everything went up with at least 10 on the shot clock, mostly more than 15.
Aussie Aussie Aussie! Oye Oye Oye!
November 2nd, 2019 at 7:45 AM ^
It was an exhibition game so no reason to take too much from it but to my amateur eye it seemed like the defense was substandard. Too many easy shots for SVSU. Will probably improve once the rotation gets sorted.
