Like the uni color combo. Like the simple rose bowl patch. Have never understood the gaudy shoulder art.
At worst the additional clutter detracts from what is already the best uniform in college football. At best it is redundant being just inches away from the official patch.
For those saying the shoulder art is a tradition, M has played in Rose Bowls without it. And there are plenty of style trends from the 80s/90s that I thought were cool back then but cringe at now. I wish they would either tame it way down or do away with it altogether.
Um, don’t we still have that whole admissions thing where incoming undergrad transfers probably won’t get all of their credits to transfer?
Maybe some of the portal superstars are planning for an NFL exit after their third year, so graduating isn’t a priority, but not sure how advisable it is to get excited at the thought of anyone hitting the portal unless they’re eligible as a grad transfer.
Unfortunately, regardless of whether Harbaugh is on the sideline for win #1000, it seems like the overwhelming attention to “signgate” will drown out everything else.
Should be a huge celebration with lots of coverage. It will probably be mentioned a fraction of the number of times the drama is mentioned.
This is what I want to know. These little drips are nice, but clearly not enough to turn the narrative toward OSU/et al. None of this has even registered with most of the same media outlets who have been dragging M through the mud the last few weeks. Until some bombs are dropped that are big enough to cause a widespread shift in narrative, nothing changes.
Love that M is fighting back, but highly annoying that after weeks of the media talking about Michigan “stealing” signs, when this news comes out about others doing it, it is framed as “decoding” signs.
If the OP is really going to reference anything from Thamel (or any of the yellow journalists covering this “story”), at the very least, copy+paste the info so nobody has to contribute to their clicks.
I’d prefer to not give these clowns any attention at all, but if people want to start a discussion about it, don’t just post a link and encourage a bunch of people here to give those douchebags more traffic.
On the contrary, I think Ol' Pete is just trying to control the narrative.
If his original story suggesting "HaRgHbAuGh is ChEaTiNg!" starts to lose credibility, he can flip the outrage to "HaRbAuGh DoEsN't EvEn CaRe AbOuT the RuLeS!", thus continuing the clickbait campaign at Michigan's expense.
Agree. And the blue pants is my least favorite away option. It looks bush league. How many traditional powers regularly wear their darkest school color on bottom? Below is the correct pecking order for uniforms.
AWAY:
1. All white
2. White top, maize pants
3. All maize (if allowed)
4. White top, blue pants
HOME:
1a. Classic blue top, maize pants
1b. All blue (cold weather & night games)
2. All maize
3. blue top, white bottoms (just don’t*)
*any combination of maize top and blue/white pants should also never happen.
Anybody have any good tailgate video setup advice?
I'm sure there's a relatively easy way to do it, but I've never tried. First hurdle that comes to mind is the signal: casting YTTV from a phone doesn't seem like it would work because you'd need a wifi setup...not to mention the shoddy tower reception around game time at the stadium. I'm sure there are other complications as well, so I'm curious if there are any setups out there that people are happy with.
Saw it last weekend in 3D with the kids. Without going into details, a quick word of warning to consider holding off on this one if anybody in your party is particularly sensitive to animal violence (digital or not) like my daughter is. She also can’t stand any movie where a dog dies…people dying she’s fine with 😆. Rocket’s story is a rough one and had her in tears to the point where she just kept her head down the rest of the movie. She loved the first two Guardian movies, but hated Vol.3 for this sole reason. From my POV an entertaining flick, better than most Marvel movies, but not as good as the first two.
Probably won’t happen but I really hope they cover the ugly steel scoreboard columns with brick, or do something to make the supports look better...not just add more of them. Quite an eyesore juxtaposed with the rest of the stadium.
It's possible TCU falls to No. 4, which would pit No. 2 Michigan and No. 3 Ohio State against each other in a semifinal. The committee is instructed not to consider rematches in the semifinal games during its final ranking.
That’s not the MSU entrance. Notice their players continue past the location of the mugging toward their locker room entrance further down the tunnel on the left.

Oh Colonel Angus!
Anyone else feel that their choice of wording was a bit clunky, especially with this being such a collectible edition?
“Michigan wins national championship summiting Washington in Houston”

Just my 2 pennies.
That wasn’t Gene Smith’s quote. That was OSU President Gee. Even worse.
and I don’t foresee Ono saying that.
Also, one can only stomach so many McConaughey sideline shots.
Pad level too high. Do not want.
OP - if you don’t plan to attend, I’d be happy to buy 2 tickets off of you for what you pay or a bit more for your trouble
Can’t make it to the Rose Bowl, but would love the opportunity to see the game in Houston near face if possible.

I use the Score app as well. Have for years.
I’m with you, but I’d hate to not have that priceless moment where the Pettite has to hand the trophy to Harbaugh.

Not that UF isn’t a fine university, but WSJ hasn’t exactly been reliable lately.
I just right click ‘Copy’ on any gif online, then right click ‘Paste’ into the mgoblog comment box and it shows up.

Time to empty both barrels.

The Dukes were 28% from 3. Not necessarily torching the nets - they just took a lot of them (8/29). But sparty was 1/20. LOL
Oh, and little JMU also won the rebound battle to boot.

Meh. Pretty sure this is just a joke. The site has the following quotes:
”Be a Stallion(s)”
”Free Baugh”

RIP journalistic integrity.
Funny how Thamel is the only one not in costume, yet comes across as the biggest clown.

Please please please use this as the catalyst for a new Michigan Stadium tradition:
Everytime M gets a turnover, the entire crowd sings "for he's a jolly good fellow" in unison after Grapentine announces the player.
I can already hear 110k drawing out the last "feh-eh-llooooooooooo" before bringing it home with "which nobody can deny!"
...it's a funny name.

Any airport where you have to take a shuttle bus to the rental cars instantly makes my shit list.
1. Cocaine Bear: upper echelon of the food chain, likes to party.
2. Raising children. Every day is a new challenge. Worth every minute though.
3. Edge. Sacks are fun.
4. Probably a female comedian. Gotta populate that island somehow.
5. Today.
I am the walrus.
See above. Thank you, A.I.

Harburglar you say?
Forget Skynet, this is what AI was actually meant for.

Wolverine Seaman
Wasn’t this his first start? Seems he made the most of the opportunity. What could’ve been had Tschetter not been starting.

Top notch, Seth. I salute you.
Crazy - I have that exact same ornament.
Must be some man cave.

Would be so pissed.

This is excellent.
Personally, I always thought a stickered OSU helmet looked like it was covered in bird shit.
Surprised he was allowed in the airspace over the stadium…especially during a flyover.
The Wolf of Wall Street humming thing before kickoffs is dumb.
Achieving maximum noise & excitement while humming is impossible - like touching your nose to your elbow - cannot be done.
Serious question: this happened in Ann Arbor, so how is this under MSU police jurisdiction? MGoLawyers, please impart your wisdom on the matter.

Sounds like a Payday.
