The job market in A2 for programmers/developers is very strong right now. You should have no trouble finding a job and possibly getting a decent bump in salary. It's a sellers market in Ann Arbor for housing (both to buy and rent), so good luck with that. Most rentals in Ann Arbor are crapholes. There are some exceptions, but the (relatively) nicer places I've rented have been through independent landlords and not the bigger realty companies. |
| 3 weeks 4 days ago | From 2000-2009, Michigan |
From 2000-2009, Michigan produced 8 1st rounders, PSU 10, and OSU 16 (!). So, those 3 schools alone were averaging over 3 first rounders a year. With Michigan and OSU getting their act together, the Big Ten should be much more competitive in the coming years. |

D3 is another option http://d3js.org/ http://mbostock.github.io/d3/talk/20111116/airports.html It would not take a lot of time to create an interactive version of these maps using d3. |

The number of bums and rude a-holes on the street always seemed to increase during hashbash. I don't have an issue with people who use the drug, but I did not like the riff-raff that hashbash brings in. |

His sources are probably other agents. I wouldn't read to much into this other than both players are thinking about leaving. |

Not the best end game strategy or execution by Cal, but they still get the W. |

Unless you plan on spending $600+, you are likely to get shutout. Don't bother. |
| 13 weeks 22 hours ago | One observation not mentioned |
One observation not mentioned yet: Burke takes way too many plays off on defense. Partly, this is a result of him dominating the ball on offense, partly it's the coaches leaving him in for too long, and partly it's just on him not giving the effort he should. THJr is always going to be a bad on-the-ball defender. This really rears it's head when he's going up against a guy like Olidipo (sic). He's fine against outside shooters, I think. Stauskas could become a decent defender in a couple years, but it's not going to happen this year. GRIII needs to play more physical. He also a big culprit with on some of the fundamental issues -- not getting his arms up or closing out quickly on shooters. How does Michigan turn it's defense around? I don't see it happening with this current group. Outside of McGary, I don't see a guy that's likely to become an elite defender. The good news is that Irvin and Walton are pretty good defenders...I think.

Simms was flipping awful the last 2 minutes of the game. On the holding non-call, he repeatedly claims both players are making contact, but fails to mention that Crabtree only pushed off to disengage from the hold. Just call it a hold Phil! Then the one word, zero justification response to whether the Ravens should take a safety, "No". That's the best color commentary that CBS has to offer??? |

This is almost like one of those schools being ranked #1 in football, so if they don't get our excitement, screw them. |
| 18 weeks 3 days ago | From a marketing prospective, |
From a marketing prospective, being #1 in the polls means a lot. More exposure on TV and the internets (not that Michigan has been lacking exposure this season). Dave Brandon is excited. |
| 19 weeks 4 days ago | I noticed after a |
I noticed after a questionable no call one of our freshman (LeVert I think) started arguing with the ref. Burke immediately ran up to him, and I imagine told him "we're the road time in the Big Ten, get used to it". I thought the refs were pretty easy on NU as well, but that's what you expect on the road. |

Eastern actually has a couple very good shot blockers. They block something like 17% of thier opponents shots. |
| 24 weeks 6 days ago | I will bump them up in my |
I will bump them up in my prediction though. They'll probably finish 5th or 6th. Wisconsin is not a tournament caliber team since they lost Dekker for the year. |
| 24 weeks 6 days ago | I was commenting on their |
I was commenting on their season performance to date. They are shooting 30% for 3pt range and have a horrendous 24% (!) turnover pct for the season. Even today's game they had a 20% turnover pct, which I guess is an improvement, but still bad. |
| 24 weeks 6 days ago | This MSU squad reminds me of |
This MSU squad reminds me of an Amaker Michigan team. Questionable outside shooting. Talented big men who never put it together completely. Turnovers galore. Unlike an Amaker team, they'll probably be on the right side of the bubble since Appling/Harris/Dawson is a better backcourt than Horton/Harris/Abram, but they'll probably only finish 6th or 7th in the Big Ten.

Cmon BTN, we just missed another TH JR man jam! |

This team is an offensive dynamo. If they are not top 3 in offensive eff at the end of the year, I will be very surprised. |

Hardaway with a "man slam". Love it. These announcers are awesome. |
| 32 weeks 6 days ago | Correction: Trout has |
Correction: Trout has appeared in 138 games. Although I'd like to see Cabrera win the MVP, I will have no complaints if Trout wins it. The Triple Crown is much more important to Cabrera's legacy anyway. |

I'm just glad we no longer have a coach that gets involved in these slapfests... |
| 34 weeks 1 day ago | How many times have we seen |
How many times have we seen Denard evade the pass rush and then dump the ball into the stands? Heck, how many times have we seen Denard evade the rush, period? You'd think he'd be great at it, but he just gets this deer in the headlights look and then chucks it to the last receiver he sees before even trying to evade the rush. The things that Brian mentions are mostly valid, but every coordinator is going to have some quirks. At the end of the day, you look at the final result -- Michigan moved the ball, but failed to put points on the board due to 6 turnovers, 1 of which was due to a dumb playcall, the other 5 were errors by the QB. Considering the mediocre personnel Michigan has on offense, I have a hard time blaming this loss on Borges. |

#1 is absolutely it. If you take away the first 5 games from 2010, Denard's stats for the rest of that season are pretty similar to what he's done under Hoke. |
| 35 weeks 1 day ago | I'm not going to claim to |
I'm not going to claim to have a sophesticated coffee palette, but IMO, Sweetwater's brews the best cup. A lot of the places that roast their beans locally have too much of a burnt flavor, or maybe are not as consistant as a place that sources their beans. Sometimes I get a great cup from Roos, Zingermans or Mighty Good, but othertimes it's just alright or a little too burnt tasting. OTOH, those places are all consistantly better than the other places that source their beans (ERC, Bearclaw, Bigby). One trend I'm not a big fan of either is the pour over brews. Sometimes it's maybe marginally better, but it takes longer, costs more and your coffee is never as hot as out of a drip machine. Aren't the physics of it the same as a drip brew anyway?

Maxwell has potential. He has a big arm and did what was asked of him in the 2nd half. We'll get a better idea of what he can do against ND. Their big problem on O right now is their receivers. |
| 38 weeks 4 days ago | I attended the 1st half of |
I attended the 1st half of the game. Morris played poorly in the 1st quarter, but played well the rest of the half. Pioneers secondary covered pretty well, and his receivers didn't get much seperation, so the meh stat line is to be expected. |

If Carr really did this, he was doing both Weinke AND Rodriguez a favor. Rodriguez would NEVER have recruited Weinke. |
| 40 weeks 12 hours ago | I have no doubts that Gardner |
I have no doubts that Gardner is listed as the #2 QB. I do have doubts whether he'll be the first QB off the bench if Denard is injured. What coaches say is often different than what they do, especially with Michigan's coaches. Besides, Gardner has struggled at QB almost every time he's seen action. It shouldn't come as a surprise that Bellomy is giving him a serious challenge at the position. |
| 40 weeks 6 days ago | The voters also love |
The voters also love cumulative stats, which was a big reason why Morneau won the award in 2006. Looking at advanced metrics, it's clearly Trout, but voters don't, so Cabrera's still very much in it, although Trout still has a slight advantage due to his SB number and position. |
| 43 weeks 23 hours ago | The lunatic fringe of any |
The lunatic fringe of any fanbase is going to have the loudest voice on the internet. Plenty of their fans get it. Their football program that they've devoted a lot of time, energy and money in has just had its reputation destroyed and now has little chance of success for at least a decade. Penn State deserved it, but I'd still take it easy on their fans and alumni. |
