Not exactly. They said if UM beats OSU they could both make it in, but if OSU beats UM, UM is out. Including Desmond Howard, who was ripping on the non-conference schedule (without noting SEC similarities) which is why UM needs to start paying honoraria to ex UM players like Desmond and Butt who go out of their ways to criticize their alma mater instead of going full slappy like OSU, USC and other alum talking heads who ruthlessly promote their former teams
