Sparty recruits hating on the Michigan recruits
I have to imagine twitter is only going to ramp up the intensity between players. Sparty recruits are already going after Michigan recruits on twitter in the aftermath of the Peppers commitment on ESPNU. Some of them have been deleted now, but the internet never forgets.
Another reminder do not tweet recruits.
@DamionTerry: You guys are juniors in highschool talking about running College Football? #SaveThatShit
@DamionTerry: man these fools who are committed to Michigan in '14 talkin about they're going to run shit....haha
@dhicky695: they just don't know man
@DamionTerry: I just don't get it lol I guess college football is easy
@dhicky695: hah they first have to go through senior year, then graduate, and I can guarantee some decommits coming from Michigan
@PCitySpartan: I think the hate for U of M will get worse when I'm in Lansing
@PCitySpartan: To Be Honest Drake Harris Is Like Benidict Arnold To Me..
@PCitySpartan: Sick Of Hearin About U Of M..Talk About The Real School Of Michigan.#State!
Even Jamarco Jones took notice:
@jjones_73: Its crazy how rivalries between schools are already coming out through recruits! #UM #MSU #OSU #ND
Or at the very least, Biggie and Bubba Sparxxx.
Who remembers the Bubba Sparxx song in Madden 2004? The best.
Good to know there's a fresh crop of little brothers. The moniker will never die because they won't let it. They just can't keep Michigan's name outta their mouths for more than a few days at a time.
So an MSU recruit is guaranteeing that Michigan will have some decomitts? That's just sad. I feel for people with an inferiority complex that strong.
It's pretty common to have at least one decommitment, so he's not exactly going out on a limb there.
You're giving him far too much credit. Overreacting to comments made in jest is what he does.
Yeah, this is a huge overreaction:
"It's pretty common to have at least one decommitment, so he's not exactly going out on a limb there."
I really need to keep my emotions in check.
Fool me once...
Dude ... "Puffins Gonna Puff" ... LOL funny ... coffee-on-the-monitor funny. Nice! :-)
The accuracy of the statement really isn't the relevant part. When you feel compelled to publicly promise that your rival's recruiting class will be weakened by decommits, it's a pretty clear sign that you're intimidated/concerned.
Sounds like the Michigan has found its way into Mr. Terry's head. Just think how miserable he will be when he sees Harris snagging balls for the Wolverines and then has to face their defense. That should help illustrate (and we know the Spartans do best with pictures) what the Michigan recruits are now talking about.
on the field. If I am Dantonio or anyone with brains at MSU, I do not welcome this garbage, or think it reflects well on my institution.
Pff. Let them.
It'll all be settled on the field.
Sparties can be dangerous too
That's especially true if you're a couch.
Someone needs to photoshop a sparty logo on to this puppet
There's the threat.
How many games has Damion Terry played at MSU? Has he even started practice their? He must speak from expirence, right? I cant believe this would make Groucho Mark happy. This looks bad for their program. A now enrolled athlete voicing his opinion on commitment to michigan, sounds like a lil bro move to me.
@dhicky695: hah they first have to go through senior year, then graduate, and I can guarantee some decommits coming from Michigan
future coaches. They want their players to hate Michigan because emotion might be the only advantage they have.
Perhaps it is just the DNA of Michigan State commits.
Mathlete can confirm, but I'm guessing there's a significant t-stat to the fact that not a single current MSU player or MSU commit is the eldest child in his family.
We shouldn't care much what 18 year olds say on the internet
That's actually an interesting question.
We sit here from the vantage point of deep Michigan fandom, so our view is a bit biased ... but there's a good portion of the state that splits to Michigan State.
Many aren't rabid fans, just fans that identify with MSU rather than U-M. Most probably pull for either team when the opponent is someone other than an in-state school.
I used to think it was mostly geographical. But I'm not so sure it's a clean line that separates the two. I know more than a few smart and decent MSU fans, so let's stay away from the explanation of it being based on intelligence.
My guess is it's more a question of environment during those formative years where kids start to take an interest in such things. If parents or family lean one way, chances are the kid will go that way as well. Not always, but usually.
"We regret to inform you that, due to limited class size, we are unable to enroll you at the University of Michigan at this time" (I assume it says something like that, I never saw that letter)
He then starts classes at the repitubale academic institution of MSU the next fall, at which point he begins 5 years of indoctrination of the inferiority complex, and starts saying things like "We're going to DOMINATE scUM this year".
After the couches are burnt and venerial diseases transferred, he often goes on to become a "productive" member of society, eventually reaching the heights of middle management and becoming a family man. His children will then be indoctrinated with the same inferiority complex, and while some will buck the trend in the face of verbal abuse from their father, many will want to grow up to be just like their old man.
It's funny how one letter can make such a difference.
..about playing the "didn't get into Michigan" card on Sparty. Fair point. Damn you.
You would think that a person who attended Michigan could at least spell reputable correctly.
I was just kidding, sorry if I struck a chord.
So, mostly, I think MSU fans are Michigan rejects. Envious, dumb, uninspiring rejects...
but close.
Aren't they cute?
Its a two-way street here, Sparty. I'm sure some of our commits have probably said some foolish things on Twitter, but don't go acting all high and mighty when you're just as guilty as they are. And even if you're not, save your emotions for the field. It might be the only advantage you have when you play Michigan from here on out.
Jon Snow...never feels apart of the family...took forever to bang a girl...and a bastard. Has some good times and may feel superior to others "on the wall" but he is still second class to the rest of the Starks
