NCAA Hate/Friday Drinking/Banging Thread

Submitted by DealerCamel on

Mitch to the NBA, Lindsay to OSU, and other dangerous nouns as well.

In lieu of the usual posbang thread, what is everyone drinking?

Although, if you wish to lighten the mood with a posbang, I'm sure nobody would mind.  I don't really care if you choose to bang or drink, or maybe even both at this point in time.

Probably serving Sweetwater IPA, but may go with Terrapin RecreationAle since it's going to be an hours-long affair and that's more of a crowd pleaser.

Open to suggestions, though, as I'm not buying the keg until tonight.

Oh, and boo NCAA.  Boo that organization!   Free McGary!

Can we talk about Mitch's friends for a moment?  If your friend is a player on the basketball team, who you know gets consistently tested for drugs, why do you keep offering him pot over and over?  Some friends those are...

It's gonna suck not getting to see him play more, but we'll always have that one time in March. The NBA might actually hold interest for me now, so there's that.

Am I too late to say GO FUCKYOURSELF NCAA. Fuck those fucking inconsistent asshats. Oh well. I just finished my last exam for the semester so I'm free. Finally. Now I can return to getting more than 4 hours of sleep a night

In lighter news, did anybody see the "market analysis" that the ACC conducted last year after the Maryland departure announcement. Just came to light yesterday as Maryland is planning to use it in its case against the ACC.

Pretty funny stuff. Some serious chest puffing on behalf of the ACC. Have they always had such an inferiority complex?

Money quote - "The ACC has always been one of the leading basketball leagues. With the new members joing, there is no doubt which conference is supreme in basketball."

if someone passed Mitch the doob in a bag.  Might have been something the Athletic Department could have used as a reason to look the other way.  Just saying.

I am conflicted. On the one hand, I applaud Mitch and Beilein for their classy responses. On the other hand, I would love to see someone go on a rant against the NCAA.

Oh well. Michigan will continue striving for "the right way" while the NCAA punishes them harshly for every extra second practiced and pot smoked while the guys they should actually be worried about get off with slaps on the wrist.

is that Mitch McGary decided to go pro after being tested positive for marijuana, which is more like a promotion than a punishment. If the NCAA was doing the right thing, then the NBA should also ban McGary for the same time period. But given that the NBA isn't insane, they're welcoming him with open arms.

look for a Horford like transfer option now.  I mean, we got like Caris as the 4 and Irvin at the 5.  We need a body in there.  Quickly.
