Turner Coming Back?
As per Sam Webb on WTKA, Turner's folks are on their way to Ann Arbor to talk to Turner about this. Seems a bit weird to me, as wouldn't he have spoken to them about this prior to asking for his release? Would RR even allow him back after all this??
Getting interesting...

Not quite sure who you're referring to... I went to South Christian, which is COMPLETELY different.
August 11th, 2010 at 6:10 PM ^
Oh, that is completely different, for whatever reason I thought you were a Christian High kid. My mistake.
I went to FHN back in the OK Gold days where we played South every year, always a tough game.

The make-up sex with various team mates.
The ease in modern "Die Hard/Enemy of the State" genre movies, where anyone with a laptop can hijack a cellphone and turn it into a LoJack/bug/lethal weapon.
Ashton Kutcher sighting alert.
Invoking Maize and Brew Drano vs. Kool-Aid visuals.
And a little negative thoughts (no loss of points) for thinking this was a rash decision...gaining bad weight throughout the summer and not putting in the effort needed isn't "rash" nor impulsive. It's a decision that was made some time ago...
Also "telling" is that GERG has already been off the JT bandwagon with his comment a few days ago about "I don't know what's up with him."
Finally, letting Rich Rod and the Media Relations people talk for who's here and who's not isn't a sign that GERG was out of the loop or didn't know what was going on. That poster must not work IRL yet (I'm not a manager, am a professional office employee, and I defer telling the outside world what's going, to those authorized to speak).

transferring is not going to solve it. He may get religion after a year of drifting (like Grady), but if he's going to play D1 ball again he's going to have to re-dedicate
Why not do that at Michigan? Work his ass off and target midseason for getting onto the field

let him back on the team. Disease spreads.

That's why I'm petitioning to not allow you back on the forum.

It was just an opinion - I wasn't trashing the guy. And why did you leave Michgan for USC?
August 19th, 2010 at 3:04 PM ^
You called him diseased. How could that not bother someone? And, what does USC have to do with any of this? I've never been to USC.

just trying to say that quitting the team has a negative effect that can spread, like a disease.

I'm just waiting for Wolverine318 to come back on here and say how much he really likes Turner and thinks he can contribute to the team after all the comments he made today.

Well I am here.
If he does come back, then I am still very skepticle of his heart and drive to be a contributing member of the team.

saying it on the morning show would be telling.
yet, calling in to the Big Show would clearly be telling as well.

Michigan has a long history of players asking for transfer papers and reconsidering (especially once parents get involved), staying with it and becomng if not stars then positive contributors to the team. In fact, our previous coach had a habit of throwing release papers at students as a motivatoin tactic.
On the minus side, recent trends do not reflect the history....

really speculate since we have no idea what is going on in his head or in his life. Hopefully he figures it out and does not make the wrong decision, whatever that is for him. I know when I was 19ish years old I made a lot of decisions that I would like to take back.

Answer: They take one of the cigarettes and throw it overboard, making the boat a cigarette lighter

Whatever issue he's dealing with, trying to transfer away from it will probably not be helpful. This is a fantastic opportunity for him to pin his tail and take a stand for himself. Please strongly consider staying Justin, the M faithful would love for you to stick it out here. I think the feeling of crossing the goal line with a pick six against Alabama in front of the world will be a very rewarding payoff.

GERG's comments that he doesn't know what is going on. I figure, the coaches think he's crazy to ask for a release, but they don't see him on the two deep at this point, don't need anymore negative press about how they treat players and said fuck it.
Poor dad is probably sitting at work and gets the call, "Mr. Turner, its Bob from Accounting. Just wanted to let you know that I read on Rivals that your son has asked for his release from UoM."
Whatever, just hope it all works out for the kid.

So a couple morons make stupid posts and now its an ESPN board? 90% of the comments I saw were more disappointed about how this would affect our team and not really personal attacks. Maybe you should take a moment and get off you high horse.

If the offseason, not even the actual playing of the games, makes people this upset then they need to find something else to do with their time.
Gardening is fun, and I've heard good things about spinning class!
Perhaps they could learn to bake?
How To Make: Crazy Berry Blue Pie Ingredients 9 inch crumb crust 1/4 cup cold water 1 package unflavored gelatin 1 can condensed milk 1/3 cup lemon juice 1 cup sour cream 2 1/2 cups blueberry pie filling Directions: Put water and gelatin in small saucepan. Place over direct heat and stir until dissolved or mixture is clear. In medium size bowl, combine, condensed milk and lemon juice. Stir in gelatin mixture. Fold in sour cream. Mix in 1-1/4 cups of the pie filling. Turn into crust. Refrigerate 2 to 3 hours. Then garnish pie top with remaining chilled pie filling. http://recipeland.com/recipe/v/Crazy-Berry-Blue-Pie-19489August 11th, 2010 at 8:10 PM ^
