OT: The Juan Harris saga continues
Some of you may not care about Juan Harris, but he had a very interesting recruitment coming out of high school. Some sites had him as a 4-star, and he ended up as a 3-star and #879 overall. Michigan offered him and he visited, but things were never extremely serious. Anyway, aside from transferring high schools, he did the following:
Committed to Iowa: December 1, 2014
Decommitted from Iowa: January 1, 2015
Committed to Iowa: January 18, 2015
Decommitted from Iowa: March 15, 2015
Committed to Iowa: June 25, 2015
Decommitted from Iowa: June 15, 2016
Committed to Indiana: July 25, 2016
Decommitted from Indiana: October 16, 2016
Committed to Indiana: November 24, 2016
Enrolled at Indiana: January 5, 2017
Well, I have a surprise for you:
He's transferring from Indiana (LINK).
It's an even weirder story than what happened with Jordan Payton, IMO. Payton was committed to USC, Cal, and Washington before signing with UCLA.
So, is Illinois his next stop? Idaho?
Maybe Iowa, then Iowa, then IUPUI, and then Iowa.
And change his name to "Iuan."
Second choice, Iowa St. Then he can start the process over again and finish up at Indiana St.
As much as he'd probably like to go to Iowa, Big Ten transfer rules (and maybe Indiana) make that unlikely.
A school gives you a non-binding offer, the terms of which they can change at any time, and this is how the youth of today show their gratitude?
All signs point to the next stop being Illinois because it is the only I state left.
You forgot Idaho.
That kid is more indecisive than virtually everyone else on Earth. He is truly Juan in a million.
You Juana fight, punk???
Harris no reason for these bad puns.
So he's going to Iowa?
no, he's already decommitted from them again. just in case.
Kirk Ferentz gets a raise with each new recruit too!!
The kid has probably never seen the show, and yet....
I'd hate to be in line behind him at the cafeteria. You could starve to death waiting for days while he picks out what he wants.
One of my favorite Brian lines ever:
"Somewhere in the fields of Iowa there is a 400-pound defensive tackle who has already commited to the Hawkeyes three times and recinded it twice.
Nobody has to make America great again; it never ceased being great"
for the fan base.
This has nothing to do with football, and everything to do with the Golden Corral Management structures in Iowa City and Bloomington.
I don't understand why a school would accept a committment from a guy after he already decommitted from them twice.
