Exit Alex Malzone

Submitted by jbibiza on

No surprise but now official.

Wish he had gotten a chance to play but I guess the coaches did not see what he had displayed in HS.

If it was just owned by Fred Meijer, but if it wad family owned then wouldn't Meijers' be more appropriate??? /grammar wars on a thread about a player leaving, sure don't see that on 11w or rcmb.

That is where Fred started his store. I didn't even know about Meijer until they built one in Brighton in the early 80s. When did they move into metro Detroit? I liked them better than A&P, and A&P closed most of their stores after that. Do they still have Farmer Jacks in the metro?

The possessive form of his name is Peters's.  The final "s" is only properly omitted when (i) the possessive applies to a plural subject ("the freemasons' argument ...") or (ii) if it is a universally-known proper name with no chance for confusion ("Denis Johnson's book Jesus' Son was among his best").

This b.s. with people putting the apostrophe at the end of a singular name like "Peters" is a relic of old newspaper style guides.

No, it's a stylistic choice, like many things with American English Usage, and there is not a correct answer. Regardless, within this blog Peters is akin to Jesus. DOUBLE INVALIDATION.

Edit: To add on, how would you say it verbally?

How would I say it verbally?  With words.  That's how I do everything verbally.

(The more precise question would be "how would you say it orally?" to which I'd respond "using spoken words".)

My whole point was that "verbal" is not the same as "oral".  (That's what "more precise" was getting at.)  Yet you accuse me of conflating the two!

Keep missing the point!

If this were the playoff and Michigan had a chance to win the national title, I could see burning a redshirt in the worst emergency situation. But there is literally no scenario in which it would make sense to burn a redshirt for a mid-tier bowl game. They would direct snap to Khalid Hill every play and run him up the middle before putting McCaffrey in.

He needs to graduate so he can qualify as a "grad transfer." It would be really impressive if he was able to do that in 2.5 years. He would probably want to go through spring practice to maintain his skills, but I doubt Harbaugh would agree to that unless they need warm bodies for scout team/tackling practice.

Peters will 100% play, but it will be a defining game for him moving foward; I will be acutely observing his demenor, cadence, and poise in his return. I have to admit, I'm very nervous about his mental state/toughness following the wisconsin games and the hits he took, and how he looked afterward. I have to admit, i'm a little excited to see McCaffrey, Petters, and Milton in the sping.

Best of luck, buddy. Never worked out here but I'm sure it was in no way due to a lack of effort.

Hope you can go somewhere where you can start and continue a good education.

Pretty strange to see a 4 star QB not ever take a significant snap but the Hoke-Borges School of Quarterbacking doesnt put you in a great position.  Would love to see what he can do in the MAC next year
