You’re right...but I believe we’re past the point of always needing a story behind each loss.

This team might be more talented than the team two years ago that went into Columbus as the #3 team in the country and lost in controversial fashion.

Year four, Harbaugh should be overcoming playcalling and O Line weaknesses...we are paying him ridiculously well to do that and are not getting a return on our investment.

Still optimistic, but we are what our record says we are.

Kid wants out of Michigan and the added value at U of M does not line up with what Rogers values(said he wanted to go South anyways).  If he ends up in Columbus, "going South" was more than likely just fluff.

Don't think we should waste time talking about him unless he reaches out to the coaching staff for anything further.....

I understand the implications of Najee.  The short story is that we bet the farm on him, and lost AJ Dillon as a result.  Dillon wasn't rated as highly, so I get your thought.  Taylor, Samuels and Mason were also in this class, so it is not surprising that Dillon went somewhere we he had a way better chance to see the field.  Good on him, didn't work out for us.

There's also a chance that if he came to Ann Arbor, he'd sit, so I get that too. Understood that it is the nature of recruiting, but no matter how you swing it, losing out on AJ Dillon's production a whiff by this staff. He is excelling elsewhere because his needs weren't being met here.

There's no way to spin that positively.  AJ Dillon would have been a monster for us and in hindsight, the coaches dropped the ball on his recruitment.

07/24/2018 - 2:43pm Former teammate Darien…

Former teammate Darien Harris said it best after he was kicked off their team:

Harris: “Exactly, when you can’t un-ring the bell. When that happens – it’s gonna be worse if he stayed here, trying to regain trust of teammates and things of that nature. So I think that in just a really unfortunate situation, it’s probably best that he moves on to something else. Obviously nobody at Michigan State would ever wish ill upon Jon Reschke and we hope that he’s able to find peace and find a way to come back from this situation and maybe even one day get an opportunity to play somewhere else again. This is a land of second chances and we’ve seen so many times – especially in professional sports – where guys get second chances to play somewhere else and we definitely wouldn’t want a situation where a kid doesn’t get to play the sport he loves anymore because of one awful mistake he made. But it just can’t be at Michigan State.”

06/13/2018 - 11:28am I went the route of…

I went the route of communication studies.....Wasn't sure exactly what I wanted to do, and that seemed very broad.  The degree provided what I wanted, which was the sought after interview.  Have had a successful sales position now for 5 years in an excellent company.

Did the degree itself prepare and push me towards the position?  Not in my opinion, but it was the conduit for the interview.

My advice is that the family member needs to identify what they like to do and drive towards that.  That will ultimately motivate them more so than trying to find the "most marketable" LSA degree.

Jordan Strack should have let Crawford and Walker announce their intentions publicly instead of trying to steal their thunder to be relevant.....Even Harbaugh said he would let the players announce it.

06/03/2018 - 6:01pm Agreed

Appreciate him and don’t want anybody else leading this team, but he doesn’t get a pass because he is Jim Harbaugh. Can’t wait for The Game this year.....

05/17/2018 - 4:04pm Couldn't agree with you more

This time of year is rough because we just want to see the impending proof!  Will be here soon enough.....

05/17/2018 - 2:48pm I'm right there with you

And Harbaugh is the only coach I want for our football program.  That being said, he has yet to accomplish much(not sure how this can be debated), especially when Urban has stepped right in and won big games(in addition to losing big games).  I did not say what I'd want him to bring us back to, but neither did FauxMo when he said Frost needed to bring Nebraska "back quickly" either.

We are wayyyyy past what the last two staff's have done, and I would say past what Lloyd Carr did at the tail end of his career(besides his 2006 top 10 finish), so I am optimistic.  Returning only 5 starters out of our main 22 last year gives me no qualms about waiting until this year to truly see what Harbaugh has.  He now has his QB and an even more solidified team overall, so expectations should be very high.

I think it is important to note that JH does fall in the same category of needing to prove himself just like Scott Frost(possibly even more since his team went 13-0 last year).  Does anyone disagree with that?

05/17/2018 - 2:04pm What I'm saying

Is that the perception of Harbaugh outside of Ann Arbor would understandably be exactly what you just described with Scott Frost.  And as far as overall resumes, Jim is significantly farther ahead, however recent success certainly goes to Frost.  Both need to "bring their programs back quickly" to earn that respect. No matter the circumstances, Harbaugh is in year four without bringing the program back.

05/17/2018 - 1:48pm Frost's track record is quite nice

I think you could replace JH in your sentence above, and many in college football would support that sentiment.  This year should/will erase those doubts.....
