Hello: Luke Schoonmaker
http://247sports.com/Player/Luke-Schoonmaker-46046764 https://twitter.com/LukeSchoonmaker/status/890032645261938689 questionable, considering we are still in pursuit for Ford & Muhammed.
Consternation and griping. Not about Luke - about this post.
EDIT: Actually, probably both. This IS mgoblog, after all.
Well, I am certainly consternated. I need to eat a bran muffin stat!
In all honesty, this is a bit perplexing. I trust the coaches and all that. But in a small class, why are we taking fliers on underrecruited kids? Or is Harbaugh taking this commitment knowing that he may cut the kid lose later if someone better comes along? Neither are appealing to me. The third option is that Harbaugh knows way more than me, and I should be fine with this. But the first two options are also possible, and that seems troubling.
FYI, I am prepared to be told in 25 different ways that I know way less than the coaches, I should trust them, and I should shut up. Bring it, bitches!
I can only think of 23 ways to tell you that you know way less than the coaches. Until I can come up with two more, I'll let you slide.
Competition is probably meh, but this kid is a skilled athlete for his size.
Here's your griping. Board "Hello" posts are annoying even when they precede Ace's Hello posts. I like looking in just one place for topic comments.
When they're posted after the Hello post? Intolerable.
I mean...did you not see it right there on the front page?
I applaud OP for starting a new thread a day after someone committed. That's impressive.
This isn't even impressive. Someone posted about the 100th anniversary of Michigan football yesterday, and we're approaching the 140th anniversary... :-D
Moar TEs!
If you question Harbaugh's ability to scout TEs, you are wrong.
Also, I assume we'd still have room for Ford and Muhammed.
I don't think we'll take three tight ends in a relatively small class.
Which makes me wonder whether one of the two other guys (likely Ford) has sent some signals that he is not coming here. So, the coaches jumped on Schoonmaker to ensure we have at least two guys in the final class.
According to 247, Schoon was a take even before Ruckert committed, so the coaches must be very high on him.
Looks like 247 corrected that to say that Schoon was not a take until after Ruckert committed.
That was my take. Ford just visited, so maybe the staff didn't get "That loving feelin' " from Ford and decided to move on.
<Insert shruggy ASCII guy>
18-20
your post questionable.
I saw that movie in the theater in 1979. I was 6. Jaws still scares me, even after his cameo in Happy Gilmore...
What?
front page, bruh
This won't end well.
Why would someone stand there and take a picture? Was that person thinking, "OMG! He's going to blow us all to kingdom come! Rather than stopping him and saving our lives, I will take a picture. Where's my phone."
Is this guy related to the Luke Schoonmaker who committed yesterday?
No. This one is the 5-star Luke Schoonmaker that we have all been following for months.
Whew, that's a relief. I just knew Harbaugh wasn't crazy enough to recruit a low 3-star that none of us ever heard of.
This is my brother Luke and my other brother Luke.
I know it was sarcasm but I still have to answer: their numbers.
Not if one ends up on the defensive side of the ball.
Damn you!
Release the Hounds!!
Never heard of him.
Informative.
I don't believe any of Ace or Brian's Hello posts until I get a second source confirmation from either Amir_6 or Counterstrike Guy.
will be okay taking a few fliers on a couple of prospects.
to offer him? Rutger, IU, UMass and UConn were his best other offers. Are all of those other actual coaching staffs who are not interested in him at all completely clueless too?
