Waarom spreek je nederlands op MGoBlog? Heel erg verrassend om een kaaskop hier te zien, zeg ik.
I'm pretty sure the Dutch language was invented by germans who got drunk and ate too much fermented fish, and it addled their brains.
Seems reasonable to me.
Seriously though:
Herr Mathias Müller: You know what glücklich freitag needs, Freidrich?
Herr Freidrich Kessel: What Mathias?
Herr Müller: LESS PHONETICS(!)
I'd like to buy a vowel.
I really think the Dutch should do the humanitarian thing and start a vowel donation program to Poland. It's only right.
Goedemorgen! That's all the Dutch I can speak.
no? oh well, happy friday anyway.
cattle coming in tomorrow, have to make sure the fences are secure. turkey hunting season too. sunshine for the next week. it is so good to live in michigan.
go blue!
Beef jerky time!!
Hey--it's Clarence Beeks!
Jag tror att hon är en svenska kvinna.
But only because like the entire first two weeks of my Swedish class were about pronunciation.
That is Austin Power's father.
Nope, never did. I must just be a good guesser.
He is Austin's father.
I believe it's actually pronounced, "fasha."
That's how I usually say Cinco De Mayo by the end of the night.
Damn you beat me to it!
i'm a doctor. really. i would never kid someone on the internet. think of this as a prescription and just show this post to your boss/co-workers if they question you about it.
feel better already, don't you?
much more interesting than the painfully-obvious Cinco de Mayo posbang
Party hearty Marty.
am in the Red Light District. Those sound like a couple places I may want to visit.
-Anne Frank House, rent a bike, take a day trip to Utrecht, Rijksmuseum
The Anne Frank house is definitely worth the wait to get in. Really powerful stuff.
Renting bikes was one of the highlights of our family trip to Amsterdam.
the best day-trip from Amsterdam is The Hague/Schevinengen if the weather is nice. Very cool beach community with a boardwalk and pier. Also, a fun little M.C. Escher museum.
Other good ones: Delft for a well-preserved quaint community, Haarlem for a hip scene, Gouda if you're into cheese (and who isn't?). Rotterdam for some very cool modern architecture and a robust underground DJ scene if you're into that at night.
The Rijksmuseum (probably better than Van Gogh if you like variety thanks to the Rembrandts, Vermeer's, etc.). Also, the Anne Frank house is pretty powerful and high on the list of must-sees. And if the timing is right, try to make it to an Ajax game.
EDIT: Should have looked at most of these mentioned above.
The best part about Amsterdam is the friendly chill pub scene though. And try to get to De Drie Fleschjes for some Jenever tasting if you're a when-in-Rome kind of traveler.
Advice was for a college student so I left out the Rijsmuseum. I went to both when I was 21 and the Van Gogh blew my mind.
Especially mind-blowing after a visit to a coffee shop.
Cheers to the weekend
Not sure what the local drink of choice is in the Netherlands, but I will be partaking in some fine tequila.
GO BLUE!!!
