Winds of 20-30 MPH Expected Saturday
Winds of 20-30 MPH are expected for gametime Saturday, along with temperatures in the high 30s. There might be gusts up to 40 MPH. Between us and Indiana, who does this help or hurt? I'm thinking we won't be seeing many downfield passes, so O'Korn's ability to run will probably be key.
And speaking on behalf of everyone who's going to the game, can't we just move it to Friday, when it'll be 68 and sunny?

as a former athlete who has maintained my cat-like reflexes, I'll duck and let the cat smack into the guy yelling "down in front!"
So there.
November 16th, 2016 at 12:54 PM ^
A lesser athlete would've gone down!

The down in front guy sat behind me in section 36 for the Penn State game. Great guy. He had me laughing the whole game.

Did anyone else here that Biden is changing all the door knobs in the White House to be cat faces? That way, whenever Trump has to open a door he'll get to...

It's overdone in sports, but if there is one place where it is done to perfection, it's Michigan Stadium.
It's a natural environment.
I was there for the first one we ever did, and most of what is done today we did on that very first day.

It was nice to see the fans doing the wave on TV during the MD game. It's been an institution since at least 1984, taken up in Michigan Stadium when the Tigers led the AL East from wire-to-wire and won the World Series, and enough people were in Tiger Stadium to actually make the wave go all the way around. I'd really like to hear the MMB do the theme from Rocky & Bullwinkle though. That gets me stoked!

Wave Trivia: It started in Michigan Stadium in 1983 when the cheerleaders brought it back from the away game with Washington.
It has an actual name . . .they called it "Maize in Motion".

I not particularly thrilled about the weather forescast or the 330 start. But, lets be honest. The temperature difference for a game 12-330 vs. 330-7 is only a few degrees. With a minimum of 92% cloud cover predicted all day, it is not like the sun will be out to feel warmer. So, the late start seemingly has little impact on how cold it is going to feel.
November 16th, 2016 at 5:20 PM ^
True, but with the early kick, it gets warmer as the game progresses. With the later kick, it gets colder by game's end.
Chart, please?
Average Temp in Ann Arbor on Nov. 19:

but you are the oldest freaking young guy ever.....its 2016 not every game at Michigan Stadium needs to start at noon.
November 16th, 2016 at 2:44 PM ^
Accuweather forecast:
12pm: 44 degrees, cloudy, 21 mph
330pm: 44 degrees, cloudy, 18 mph
If its cloudy its going to be dark either way.
Also, its November. In Michigan.
November 16th, 2016 at 3:10 PM ^
4pm: 44 degrees, light rain
7:30pm: 36 degrees, light rain & SNOW
Maybe if you leave early, you only care about kick off.
November 16th, 2016 at 3:23 PM ^
That's fair.
My point was that its going to be cold, rainy and dark either way. The game time isnt making much difference. The pattern could shift forward and it would be colder earlier anyway. WD is just being dramatic.
November 16th, 2016 at 3:42 PM ^
I actually don't care if it's colder. I bundle up if I have to. But it is noticeably colder at the end of a 3:30 game than a noon game. You don't notice it get colder from noon-4pm. You do notice it get colder from 3:30-7:30pm. And yes, there are odd weather patterns where it may not hold especially with cold fronts coming in.
I'm not going to complain about it, but to say the weather isn't any different is false. If I got to pick, I'd go with noon, especially late in the year.

Also, what does that have to do anything? I would not complain about the weather. No one is forcing you to go. You are putting yourself in the situation to be cold. If you don't like it, then sit in your bedroom designed for a 10-year old and watch on television.

Yea because people who don't live in Ann Arbor love getting up at 6 am to travel the 3 hrs. I love 3:30 games. as an adult I can bang out my adult responsabilities and then once 3 pm hits shut it down for the game.
November 17th, 2016 at 5:44 AM ^
Im with you Carlos. I get nothing done the day of noon games which kills any chance for a relaxing Sunday. I much prefer 330 starts. Until OSU. Im doing nothing that day anyway and noon is fine.
