Wife Day Activities?!

Submitted by gobluepenn6 on
Today the wife has me going to the apple orchard for apple picking, donuts and cider. Followed by dinner and a movie. Maybe an afternoon game on tv during the nap.... one can hope. What you got?

Already rode our bikes to the farmers market. Harry Potter marathon until Dodger/Cubs and OSU/Wisconsin. Could be worse. Still hate bye weeks.

Joann's and Michael's are on the docket. The Mrs. loves her crafting. Crochet is currently her favorite, and she's been crocheting things for our friends' babies. ...send help.

Flag football already in the done column, son completely forgot everything I taught him about defense, but did throw for his first touchdown.

Now getting ready to head out camping with the Cub Scouts(and my daughter thinks it's just as much for her as it is for my son). So more of a family day over a "wife day".

My wife has had two CRV's in a row, which means I have her old one.  I'll probably be driving the newer one when  the old one dies and be buying her whatever she wants next.  Wife day is every day in my house.  It's ok though, she's a stable as a rock and been nothing but good to me.  Hail wife-day!

Spent a couple of hours in the office this morning, finished up some things that needed to be done.

The lady and kids are gone for the day, so I'm probably going to smoke pot until my face falls off and watch football.

Going to be a good day

Pumpkin patch after lunch and then decorating. While the kids decorate the pumpkins with my parents the wife and I are going to run some child free errands. I know not exciting but it will be nice to be able to get away just the two of us for even an hour or two. I will probably watch the osu Wisconsin game tonight in hopes of osu looking mortal again. Some beers will also be in my future.

Coached flag football today and my son caught the game winning Hail Mary TD on the 2 and extended over the goal line for the win! Proud papa! He's 8 but boy is that situational awareness!

I've got to get a new phone. Also thanks to my plant for getting us out early yesterday I was able to finish my usual Sat chores yesterday so after the phone store I got nothing to do but watch Sparty lose

Ninja Kids class with my son with Tremayne Dortch of American Ninja Warrior while my wife does belly dance with his wife. Completing a few lesson plans later and watching some football with my pops quietly rooting for MSU to lose again (he's a MSU grad).

Daughters birthday party at the bowling alley. Wife was fine with scheduling it on the bye week. Even though daughters birthday was a couple weeks ago. Then heading home with friends to eat, drink and watch football.

A little fall cleaning and yard work during the noon games at the wife's behest. Have the Bama-Vols game on the garage TV if I remain ambitious and keep working. Otherwise catch-up on some "work work" in my office with the game on. Then tonight I'll settle in for Bucky-Buckeyes. Bye week leaves a gap in my schedule tomorrow too because I usually rewatch on BTN football in 60.

We are heading to her grandparents' apple orchard with our puppy for our engagement shoot. Initially, we tried to opt out but the wedding photographer convinced us it's their way of getting to know us; plus, it's free (aka included in their overall price).

a cider mill trip with the kids with the stipulation we will be home for the 3:30 games. Not much interest with the noon games, beside the slight hope NC State can give Clemson a run.

Hanging out in Detroit this morning. Shinola and surrounding shops. Eastern Market. And hopefully Supino Pizza for lunch if the line isn't too long. Bar Mitzvah tonight.

Taking my daughter for a haircut then shopping, then getting ready to watch the Cubs and the Wisconsin Ohio State game. As a wife with no Michigan football, this is not a good day for me.
