Line to gain was the 42, which Weber was short of.  Next play was ran with the tip of the ball touching the 41.  Full fucking yard.  Unreal.

Not to go off topic, but what exactly do "we" know that is bunk?  The JFK assassination has been a bit of an obsession for me since I watched a 25th anniversary special about it when I was 7 years old.  In my estimation, 99.9% of the bunk concerning the case comes from the conspiracy crowd.  Meanwhile, 99.9% of the physical evidence points to LHO as the lone gunman.

End rant.

Um, you've heard of Devin Bush, right?

Good call.  OSU got dominated at home by Oklahoma, and if they would have only lost their second game by 10 instead of 30, they would have been in the playoff.  I'm disappointed about last night, too.  But I certainly saw some things that give me reason to believe this team can beat everyone left on their schedule.  This team still has everything in front of them.

Didn't OSU allow like 10 sacks in their early loss to VaTech the year they won it all?

You're thinking of Smarty Jones, but your point remains valid.

06/09/2018 - 9:44pm This year's Kentucky Derby…

This year's Kentucky Derby field (and 3 year old crop as a whole) was widely regarded as the deepest since probably Barbaro's win in 2006.  The fact that this horse had zero 2 year old foundation, and was not on anybody's radar as late as February, makes what he's accomplished even more impressive.

06/09/2018 - 9:00pm So, you'd rather see a…

So, you'd rather see a jockey sabotage their own chance at winning just to make sure another horse doesn't win?  Jerry Bailey did that to Smarty Jones in 2004, and people still haven't forgiven him.  Also, while it's only been 3 years since American Pharoah, this is only the second Triple Crown in 40 years.  People in 1978 were probably pretty "sour" about having had 3 in 5 years.

Besides, I'm not sure it would have mattered.  Horses with early speed on top of high "cruising" speed like Justify and AP can establish the position they want and dictate the race to their liking.  Had Noble Indy been sent, without any other tactical speed in the race, its likely that Justify would have happily stalked him around the track and took command whenever he was ready.  Don't forget, he was pressed through quick early fractions in the Derby, and had Good Magic at his throat for the first mile of the Preakness, and the outcome was the same.

05/12/2018 - 8:51pm Grand Armory's

Wheezin' the Juice is nice.  I like the fact that its a juicy IPA without being ridiculously hazy.

Bells Hopsolution is probably the easiest drinking DIPA I've had, if you're looking for a more traditional IPA (and higher ABV!!).

04/12/2018 - 1:32am Just remembered

this tidbit from our trip.  Here's a photo from the website of the hotel we stayed in at Mackinaw City:

Here's what happened literally the night after we checked out and went home:

https://www.clickondetroit.com/lifestyle/watch-northern-lights-appear-o…

I was pissed.

04/12/2018 - 1:12am Wife and I

did a week with the kids last July.  Stayed five nights in Sault St Marie, but made the drive to Tahquamenon Falls, as well as Pictured Rocks for the tour.  Quite a bit of driving, but I enjoy it and driving up there is nothing like driving in metro Detroit.  Our youngest was almost 3 at the time, tho.  Your driving experience may differ with an 11 month old!!  Anyway, those two locations, along with the Soo Locks are musts in my opinion.  I suppose Mackinac Island is as well, although I could do without it.  We spent the last two nights in Mackinaw City, which has quite a bit to do, as well as awesome views of the bridge both day and night.

One other thing I haven't seen mentioned, but may not be feasible with an 11 month old, is Headlands International Dark Sky Park:

http://www.midarkskypark.org/

It's just over 3 miles directly west of Mackinaw City.  If you get an ideal night for star gazing, its spectacular.  Jupiter was so bright, it was reflecting off the lake.  The night we were there somebody showed up with the largest portable telescope I've ever seen.  Thing looked like a cannon.  Viewing Saturn through it was unreal, as well as some other cool stuff that people much smarter than me spoke about.  Anyway, that's enough nerdiness from me.  Whatever you do, enjoy!!!

02/12/2018 - 6:46pm Two Guys Who Golf

is my go to site for course reviews. Good analysis and pictures, usually. Here's a link to their Arizona golf page:

01/09/2018 - 10:24pm Not only was

Georgia not offside on the punt block, there was clearly a false start by Bama on that play as well.

12/28/2017 - 9:52pm If

Grandma had nuts she'd be Grandpa.

11/28/2017 - 10:51am I'm pretty

sure Fox just had it wrong. I was bitching to my wife about it, but then I heard the PA guy in the stadium say 2nd and goal.

11/18/2017 - 11:21am Baumgardner

says he doesn't see Lavert Hill warming up with the DBs.

10/15/2017 - 5:56pm Pretty sure

Wheatley ripped off a long run right after that, if I remember.

10/14/2017 - 11:23pm Fucking Minnesota

can't get out of their own way.  They let a fat, slow return guy go 55 yards with the kick off, and then Sparty fumbles AGAIN on the the next play.  Bounces right into their DBs hands, and he promptly farts it out of bounds.

10/14/2017 - 11:09pm I guess I'm a

moron, then.  Minnesota looks terrible, regardless of how many pep talks Fleck gives on the sideline.  State is obviously improved, but I'm holding judgement on how much so unitl I see how they handle Indiana next week.

10/14/2017 - 10:05pm I'm failing to

understand the PJ Fleck hype.  His playcalling is terrible.

10/14/2017 - 5:50pm I'll just assume

you've forgotten about that 67-65 triple OT cluster fuck over Illinois from 2010.  Otherwise I'll have to seriously question your judgement.

10/13/2017 - 10:29pm Mack Brown

06/01/2017 - 1:20pm Also

didn't help that Kap stared down where he was going from the second he took the snap.

04/01/2017 - 12:27am Dude

Soccer players think that was a flop.

04/01/2017 - 12:26am Tuned in when

I got the ESPN notification of a close game. What a joke that Flagrant 1 call was. On top of that, my eyes are now bleeding. Terrible basketball.

03/19/2017 - 3:04pm In the words of

B Rabbit: "I don't give a fuck who it is."

03/17/2017 - 10:03pm Oklahoma State

would seriously beat either of these teams by 15 points.

03/09/2017 - 10:49pm Haven't seen these posted

Came across this aerial photographer's twitter page with some pictures of the scene.  Even scarier seeing the two shots from behind the plane.  Especially the one showing the runway and skid marks.  Good lord.

12/16/2016 - 10:26am Thought it

was possibly the best Star Wars of any of them. At least right up there with ESB. Very impressed. Definitely looking forward to more of these offshoot movies.

11/19/2016 - 8:59pm Uhhh....

Who is playing against the "best defense in the country" next week? Because it's not us.

11/12/2016 - 10:30am Yes.

Penn State's defense had a bunch of injuries when they played Michigan, which prevented Penn State's offense from hitting their season average for points by 4 touchdowns... Solid logic.

11/05/2016 - 8:47am Word

Word

10/26/2016 - 12:06pm I think

his hypothetical weather scenarios are misguided. OSU has issues outside their offense performing in poor weather. Blaming the weather is wishful thinking.

10/15/2016 - 11:59am Allowed

a cider mill trip with the kids with the stipulation we will be home for the 3:30 games. Not much interest with the noon games, beside the slight hope NC State can give Clemson a run.

10/14/2016 - 9:44pm Jackson

wants no part of throwing get the ball.

10/12/2016 - 3:22pm Great story

Thanks for sharing.

10/03/2016 - 11:54pm Not sure that

I agree that a "slightly above average performance" by a QB would have put 21 points up against us.  The only big miss was the play where Stribling fell down.  He perhaps missed some throws that would have been first downs, but what are the odds that those drives would have ended with anything other than a punt 3 plays later?

09/24/2016 - 3:15pm I don't think

he played all that well at ND. A lot of ugly balls from him in that game.

09/21/2016 - 11:57pm Perhaps its

my general paranoia, but any chance that the play with no plan to block Peppers was an attempt to draw a targeting call on him? First drive of the game, let's give him a free run at a guy and hope he hits him high type of thing? Probably a stupid thought, but I just hate the fucking targeting rule. I have this fear Dantonio instructs O'Connor to run at Peppers early in the game, slide late, and then act hurt if Pepp hits him. I know MSU is a month off still, good old Mark just seems like a prime candidate to pull those type of shenanigans. I should probably take off the tin hat...

09/17/2016 - 11:28pm I thought

O'Connor looked shaky at best. Lots of wounded ducks, and they were clearly playing it safe with him on passing downs late. They didn't want him throwing the ball if they could help it.
