Not borderline...it's been a disaster. You forgot to include shooing away AJ Dillon because of arrogance of player personnel decision making.
December 12th, 2018 at 2:05 PM ^
Responding to Maizen with anything but a "f*** off" - rookie mistake.
Responding to Maizen and agreeing with him - f*** off.
December 12th, 2018 at 3:19 PM ^
This staff has made a myriad of mistakes. You want to ignore it...have fun with mediocrity.
December 12th, 2018 at 6:57 PM ^
I think Maizen made another account! This guy has been active 21 hours and agrees with him.
Go figure!
December 12th, 2018 at 8:31 PM ^
The plan for Michael Barrett was always to end up at WR.
December 12th, 2018 at 9:41 PM ^
that’s recruiting. The running back position is fine troll
December 13th, 2018 at 8:18 AM ^
A walk-on safety is likely going to take a bulk of the carries in 2019..
December 12th, 2018 at 1:25 PM ^
I guess that makes sense why the staff is pushing for another back in this class. If Haskins has really moved to LB, it would make more sense to just move Barret to RB (which should have been the case from the get go) and aim to get two targets in 2020
December 12th, 2018 at 9:19 PM ^
I thought Michael Barrett talked with Anquan Boldin before committing because Jim Harbaugh thought Michael Barrett looked like a WR, and Anquan Boldin was like Michael Barrett, both were QBs in high school, and both had the ability to make yards after first hard contact with a defender.
But Michael Barrett may end up at RB?
December 12th, 2018 at 1:26 PM ^
Annnnnnd I didn't link the tweet correctly, and misspelled Steve's last name
December 12th, 2018 at 1:27 PM ^
I got you fam
Per #Michigan, second-year running back O'maury Samuels has been dismissed from the program; no elaboration given: https://t.co/vfOmkeiOvT

More like No'Maury Samuels now.
I'm tired.
December 12th, 2018 at 1:27 PM ^
Hello big recruiting class.
/too soon?
December 12th, 2018 at 1:28 PM ^
Hope the kid is ok and/or didn't do anything that will show poorly on the program.
From a football standpoint - no huge loss given his drops on the depth chart, w further sinking expected when Charbonnet hits the field next year...
December 12th, 2018 at 2:29 PM ^
It was because of a domestic violence arrest.
December 12th, 2018 at 1:29 PM ^
Did we lose AJ Dillon when we picked up O'Maury Samuels? I can't remember how that all shook out. Hindsight I guess...
December 12th, 2018 at 1:31 PM ^
No. It happened when we were pushing for Najee Harris
December 12th, 2018 at 1:36 PM ^
Ah, thanks for clarifying!
December 12th, 2018 at 2:36 PM ^
AJ Dillon left because he wanted to play as a freshmen which he wasn't doing no matter who we recruited unless you think he would have passed Higdon or Evans in his first year.
December 12th, 2018 at 2:42 PM ^
Negative, he left because we wanted him to switch to LB and decided to push hard for Najee Harris instead.
December 12th, 2018 at 1:30 PM ^
Wow. Dismissal has a much different connotation than transferring.
This news confirms healthy doses of Wilson, Evans, Turner, and Charbonnet next year.
December 12th, 2018 at 1:41 PM ^
And more Ben Mason as the power back.
December 12th, 2018 at 1:30 PM ^
According to the 15th District Court website, he has been charged with domestic violence and malicious destruction of property.
December 12th, 2018 at 1:32 PM ^
Good sleuthing
December 12th, 2018 at 1:32 PM ^
Not great...
December 12th, 2018 at 1:39 PM ^
All I want to see in situations like this is that it's dealt with swiftly and made clear that actions like this won't be tolerated, which seems to be the case. The coaches can't have complete control over how a bunch of 18-24 year old kids act. It's clear they're not tolerating it rather than acting as some benevolent arbiter of second chances in serious situations like domestic violence.
December 12th, 2018 at 1:43 PM ^
Precisely. One assumes Harbaugh looked into the situation, didn't like what he found, and dismissed him for it. Without knowing any details of the alleged behavior, I hope he's able to rehabilitate himself and land on his feet somewhere else after he finishes paying the consequences of his actions, whatever those turn out to be.
December 12th, 2018 at 1:35 PM ^
Great I can expect a 10 part expose by the Freep on Harbaugh running an outlaw program.
Meanwhile in East Lansing..
December 12th, 2018 at 1:56 PM ^
Does anyone else have trouble identifying a "storefront" on those captcha thingys?
December 12th, 2018 at 1:37 PM ^
WTF? Why can't people just walk away? Some things just aren't worth the effort...
December 12th, 2018 at 1:39 PM ^
see ya
December 12th, 2018 at 1:41 PM ^
Not good for O'Maury at all. Nice to see Harbaugh taking the necessary and correct steps instead of covering it up and brushing it under the rug like a lot of out schools and programs do.
December 12th, 2018 at 1:44 PM ^
Alabama cuts kids all the time for even the hint of impropriety. Cough.
December 12th, 2018 at 2:29 PM ^
The "cough" is not fully warranted. This is actually true if the kid is not producing on the field.
December 12th, 2018 at 1:42 PM ^
If true, I am proud that our coaches enforce discipline and boot troublemakers. They don't try to cover shit up and make it go away, like some schools I could mention ...
December 12th, 2018 at 2:01 PM ^
I'd be interested in seeing the charge sheet. This could be something very minor like breaking a lamp during an argument, or he could have smashed someones face in.
DV charges cover a very wide range of behavior, some of which most people would be surprised is even illegal.
December 12th, 2018 at 2:17 PM ^
While this is true, Harbaugh stood by Grant Perry and Jordan Lewis. Yes, both were starters and, seemingly, more important to the team. But he held Perry out of everything for more than a year until his grab-assing was cleared up. And Lewis' charge sheet looked baaad. He also booted Logan Tulley-Tilman, despite that he was a decent looking OT knowing OT's are hard to come by.
I doubt Harbaugh saw anything worth salvaging from the charges. Nonetheless, it will be interesting to see their scope...
December 12th, 2018 at 1:34 PM ^
Here comes another situation where everyone acts shocked/disappointed by attrition but still expects us to sign 30 recruits when we have room for 20. Come on.
December 12th, 2018 at 1:39 PM ^
This doesn't seem to be right situation for that take. Read up a post.
December 12th, 2018 at 1:38 PM ^
It's surprising how good a RB gets with a solid OL. And don't forget the walk-on players, either. No recruiting service can measure heart.
December 12th, 2018 at 1:39 PM ^
Good riddance
December 12th, 2018 at 1:40 PM ^
Nothing but the best news for us these past two weeks.
December 12th, 2018 at 1:44 PM ^
DAMMIT!!!
December 12th, 2018 at 1:45 PM ^
New PWO offer:
St. Edward 2019 running back Jordan Castleberry, who of course is a teammate of Caden Kolesar.
December 12th, 2018 at 1:55 PM ^
looks like he's already committed to WVU... probably just as a PWO as well though
December 12th, 2018 at 2:19 PM ^
He decommitted from his PWO offer from WVU. He is also teammates with quintel kent
December 12th, 2018 at 2:44 PM ^
Nice!
Speaking of Kent, he is severely underrated still on all sites. Criminal.
December 12th, 2018 at 1:46 PM ^
I'm sure he'll resurface as a position coach out west in a couple years.
