In his press conference just a few minutes ago.  Every media person is reporting it. If someone could embed tweet or clip

Fuck it! Go Blue!!!

This is fine.  Gnashing teeth over it is dumb.  He's goaded into it, said he believes in his brothers and coaches.

I think the only difference it may make is his OL may be a little more amp'd to support him.  And if he fumbles or makes a mistake, the Buckeyes will throw it back at him.  But fuck it play free.

Maybe. But OSU has a lot of players on their team that aren't even from Ohio, so they probably don't have the same perspective on the rivalry as people who grew up with it.

Why poke the bear is my point. Same way MSu always seemed to play out their ass after michigan players said negative things.  Talk after, not before.

MSU played out of their ass for those years because they were the better team.  They haven't been for a couple years now, and outside of the blood-minded randomness of the universe it hasn't helped them who has or has not spoken about them.

Higdon isn't from Michigan or Ohio, so by your take he doesn't care about it like we do.  How about you tell him that?  How about you go tell Ben Mason that he doesn't appreciate the game like we do?  Or Chase Winovich?

Dummass take is dummass...

Because of Brian's rope bridge analogy.  What could be better than slashing the ropes and sending OSU down into the ravine?  Answer: telling the whole world that we are going to slash the ropes and send them plummeting down into the ravine, and then going and doing it.

I could not disagree with you more.

Both teams have bulletin boards in their locker rooms.  If I'm a Michigan coach, I am putting Higdon's guarantee right in the center in huge letters.  These kids love each other - the motivation to prove Karan right is as strong as any slight by OSU that we could possibly put up.

This is absolutely awesome.  Love the swagger!

I mean how else do u answer the reporter, higdon: "uh no I don't wana gurantee a win or copy harbaugh naw" that would be a pussy response. that's the best response be confident time to man up and kick osu ass, M is the better team

Good.  It's a game of football; you have to believe you're going to win.  And if Michigan loses, so be it.  But in a sport where Urban Meyer covered up domestic violence for years and a decent chunk of that fanbase blamed the survivor, if I'm a player I wouldn't feel particularly sad about offending them.

One of my favorite Michigan memories. We had an extra ticket to that game and my dad sold it to a lone buckeye fan for face value; dude thought he hit the jackpot. Little did he know he was going to have to sit next to punk teen-aged me talking shit to him the whole game.

Jim didn’t end up having his best game that day, throwing two interceptions. But Jamie Morris ran for over 200 yards.

Hope we have an easier time than we did in 86

Not a big deal.  Glad Higdon is confident.

Will not change anything about how either team plays.  Adds to the pre-game hype for fans and the media.  But that's it.  Does not in any way change the way the players will play.

Why not. Bring their best game - watch how fast they roll over when we punch them in the throat to start this game. This rivalry is going the same way as MSU. We've outplayed, outschemed, and outcoached them the last few years despite the record and were functional QB play away from wins in each of the last two years. OSU laughed and said "same old same old" and assumed everything was fine. Well, now were back with a healthy QB, a working O-Line, and, again, a light's out defense. Knock, fuckin', knock, OSU. Time to open up and get your ass kicking.

Love the response! Michigan might win, might not, but if you're going to finally turn the tide in the rivalry, this is one of the ways to do it. Stop being afraid, stop being timid, stop hoping, go out full of confidence and fucking take it.

I guess I can't lose sleep over this.  Because every scenario in my head always lands with OSU reaping the benefits of the best case scenario going in to this game.  That's what happens when you're dead inside after seeing the same evil force NEVER come down to Earth.
