Commemorating that team just adds more fuel to the Revenge Tour fire...

As you may recall, that is the game in which Woody Hayes elected to go for two after OSU scored its last touchdown. When asked afterwards by reporters for his reasoning? He replied simply, "Because I couldn't go for three."

Granted, that game was suitably avenged the following year in Ann Arbor (not with "Touchdown Billy Taylor") but with the upset of the century, but if they want to go there, then so be it.

Oh, yeah...  This is a point that Jim MF'in Harbaugh will not fail to notice.  And it will piss him off.  A pissed off Harbaugh brings his team ready to play - er, scratch that.  A pissed off Harbaugh brings his team ready to beat the crap out of you and calls timeouts to preserve your total humiliation.

Let's beat them 50-13.

Also, just an fyi...Touchdown Billy Taylor was in 1971. We got back at them for this 1968 game with the Upset of The Century and the most important win in the history of Michigan Football, Bo's first edition of The Game in 1969.

Bo wrote 50 on everything in the locker room in preparation for this game.

All i hope is that they have a top notch laundry service to clean out all the grass and blood stains. Who gives a flying f what uniforms they wear. Probably Urban's last game in the shoe as well.

Wow, so they are invoking the year that was their previous height of hubris and the beginning of the end for the last great era(+UofM dominance); or, but maybe at the same time, adding extra risk to their QB getting hurt?

Sounds great!

Just beat the crap out of them and take that momentum into winning the CFP so Michigan can wear their Cfp unis against osu in the future.

In my view, Nike / Adidas / Under Armor have completely ruined the concept of throwback jerseys or special alternative uniforms.

Going back a decade (maybe a bit more), it was pretty rare for a team to wear anything other than their home or road uniforms - usually limited to a very significant game, and then the alternative jersey had some significance.  Now, some teams wear 1-2 alternative unis a season, so it is nothing more than a shameless attempt to sell more jerseys.

That all said, I actually like these - probably because they are actual throwbacks to jerseys that the team wore 50 years ago, and not some bumble bee striped nonsense that throws back to nothing.

Let them grasp for any motivation they can. Any aid to lessen the ass kicking that awaits them is needed.

They can come out in leather helmets and g strings for all I care.

Please, for the love of all that is good and decent in this world, PLEASE just beat those guys. After the last 17 years, enough is enough.

I actually think OSU's 2012 and 2013 alternates they were for the game were great. They had slight variations to their regular uniforms, but actually were kind of better.

The ones they wore last year looked tacky, and I have bad memories when I think of the black helmets they wore in 2016.

They have only worn their "traditional" home or away uniforms 3 times in the past 10 meetings.

(2011, 2014, 2015).

To me OSU's uniforms are total meh.  What's so cool about silver and scarlet?  Nothing.  Silver is about as bland a hue as you'll find.  If anything, even OSU knows how lame their uniforms are by covering that boring helmet with Buckeye stickers, which to me, is about the only interesting thing about the uniform.

If you're going to do silver, Lions or Panthers blue pairs far better than hideous scarlet.  I could find 50 programs with cooler color schemes and uniforms.  Ped State's helmets come in last place to me however.  The notion that their all whites are cool or interesting is about as logical as going to an art exhibit and trying to find meaning staring into a blank canvas for an hour.

The fact that OSU continues to tinker with their duds is further evidence they themselves also know their traditional attire is a yawnfest, especially when contrasted against the finest uniforms and helmets in all of sports worn by our team.

I don't know why some people make such a big deal about this. If OSU wants to wear something different, that is their decision. When the ball is kicked, no one will give a shit about the uniforms.

I wish they'd just wear their regular uniforms (actually I wish we'd go UCLA/USC color-on-color, TVs haven't been black and white for a while now) but these are basically their regulator uniforms IIRC (twitter is blocked on my work computer) so good enough.
