I don't quite get reprimanding the guy who set up a fight AND the guy who, after the fact, pointed out that the guy set up a fight.  But it's th Big 10, so I guess we should all be happy they did anything.

The ENTIRE MSU Football team was reprimanded. This was separate from the reprimand for Dantonio. It is a point being missed by people reporting it, and one of the parts I find the funniest especially after Harbaugh throwing the "product of the program" quote back in Dantonio's face.

Big10 can reprimand Harbaugh all they want, but they can’t stop him from hoisting the Big10 championship trophy on December 1st amirite? Go Blue!

Something I'll never understand--reprimanding a coach for criticizing ref's or the other team, even if everything the coach says is factual or a statement of a valid opinion. Pure image above substance and hypocrisy to my eyes.

I ventured over to RCMB to get a chuckle out of their reaction to this (was not disappointed). The best comment went as follows, "Drop out of the big ten. Go independent like Notre Dame. They need us more than we need them."

I hate ND, but in what universe is sparty comparable to them in terms of anything that makes them a successful independent program? There are few universities that could go independent and succeed as ND has done, and MSU definitely isn't one of them.

Does anyone else remember during the 2010 conference realignmentpalooza that two ACC schools "went rogue" and approached two Big Ten schools.  One was confirmed as Penn State, but they never said who the other was.  I always thought it was Michigan State and I always wondered if Michigan State should have considered it.  They would have had one of the better ACC football programs at the time and their basketball team would have played top end teams right and left.  It never happened and it wouldn't be even remotely feasible now, but I still think about this from time to time.

Why hate ND?  They are a clean program and are pleasant when seeing a game in South Bend .They are as close to us as a program than anyone.

To hate for the sake of hating, is stupid.  To hate for good ewreas, is justified .

I went to my first game at ND this year and wondered whether I'd find the annoying ND fans that I'd imagined existed somewhere. No sign of 'em ... everyone was very polite and refined.

In my experience they're the nicest opposing-team fans along with Northwestern.

Is this fine enforceable?  Or is it one of those that nobody has to follow up on...

I applaud Delany for half of this.... however, not on Harbaugh..... Harbaugh could not have worded it any better than he did... it rang true.   I get that he has to reprimand both sides most of the time, but not this time...

What pisses me off is that it looks like both parties were responsible. In reality, MSU coaches were responsible and Harbaugh simply didn't follow proper protocol in airing his grievances. Huge difference.
