Unless this is an alternative high school located in a locked facility for juvenile sex offenders, I would think it would only help MSU's image. If they rely only on themselves to maintain their brand, they're screwed.
What pisses me off is that it looks like both parties were responsible. In reality, MSU coaches were responsible and Harbaugh simply didn't follow proper protocol in airing his grievances. Huge difference.
I agree. Turfing the logo was a bad look. With that said, he lost it for a bit but maintained enough composure to avoid attempting to kill any of the hand holders. He must have been livid. I'd have been livid and i'm tired and indifferent by nature.
I'm sick of the narrative though. I want the headlines to be football related and not "little brother" stories. Michigan dominated. Embarrassed Sparty on the field. I'm ready for that to be the focus and not the other stuff.

This video reminded me of something important. The past 10 years don't mean shit. The weather don't mean shit. Mike Dantonio's voodoo don't mean shit. Bad bounces and bad luck don't mean shit. Today, these players are what matter. And I believe these players are talented and disciplined. They've developed and learned. I have faith that this Michigan team will play Michigan football and by the end of today's game, there will be no question as to who owns football in the State of Michigan again. GO BLUE!!!
True. They have benefited from stability too. I think Michigan is getting there again. I'm not always sold on stars, but time is needed to develop good players...and obviously the right staff is crucial. Michigan has had 3 coaching changes since Dantonio started at MSU. His program has been stable, ours, not so much. Simple as that. I believe we are now stable.

But I think Sparty getting that win out of the way and again seeing themselves as relevant might be good for us. Less disrespekt always equals less focus and drive for Sparty. Maybe that's why they play so well on the road. They feed off negativity instead of accolades.
While not really embarrassed, I too think this ball club is ready. I feel very good about our chances. But....also understand why fans are a little apprehensive. Last year was an absolute bitch. It was a hard game to digest. What makes this year different you ask? Shea Patterson.
Makes perfect sense. He's a diabolical madman. It's all part of his master plan and Michigan is falling into their trap. Maybe Michigan beating Wisconsin is somehow part of his evil plan too. Maybe everyone is in on his madness.
Maybe that's where the Penn State win will benefit Michigan. We now know MSU is capable of not totally sucking. (Although I still maintain that they looked largely like shit yesterday). We all have every reason to feel cautious. Last year about did me in. But we have a QB now. If we had Shea last year we'd have won. He wouldn't have made the same mistakes. (3 interceptions thrown by O'Korn in the 2nd half). I get how the weather sucked, and we will benefit from a good weather day Saturday, but I really feel like this is a different team right now.
I thought we didn't like living in the past Jimbo? Good to see the Sparty fans crawling out of their cardboard boxes again, although that week of silence post NW was refreshing. I'd rather have a little shit talk leading up to the game. It will make the win that much more satisfying.
I believe Michigan is in control of their destiny in this game. Sounds like an obvious point, but if Michigan plays to their potential we will win easily. MSU's ceiling is no where close to Michigan's right now. Penn State shot themselves in the foot several times and MSU got some lucky breaks. How many of their own fumbles did they recover? Credit to MSU for their composure at the end, but I'm not worried about next week. We will likely rely on our passing game...but we can do that now.
On a side note. I used to drink a lot of Natty Ice. I was working in the lawn Thursday and needed some beer, so I decided on Natty Ice, just for old times sake. I threw up after 3 beers. Have I changed or has the beer changed? Food for thought.

I don't mind MSU going in to the Michigan game following that win. they perform better as the angry resentful underdog. Unless all their injured players return (which wouldn't surprise me) they I'm not worried about next week. They're not very good at all.
