Delicious. Gerdeman continues with pretty spot on takes.

Is it too soon to start threads about weather vs. PSU?
October 22nd, 2018 at 9:31 PM ^
Really? Crap. *deletes post about weather for next year's game against little brother*
October 22nd, 2018 at 3:45 PM ^
5 day forecasts are close to chicken entrail status. 12 day forecasts might as well be pulled from a hat.
October 23rd, 2018 at 8:21 AM ^
The Farmer's Almanac predicts tornadoes in Ann Arbor for the day of next year's MSU game. So, there's that.
October 22nd, 2018 at 3:56 PM ^
It's never too soon for weather threads. But only if they dont distract us from our hourly discussion on "will he or wont' he" Rashan Gary threads.
October 22nd, 2018 at 5:00 PM ^
I'm going to miss all the "When will we know the time of the PSU game" threads
October 22nd, 2018 at 3:57 PM ^
Worked for us against MSU. I say let's do it.
October 22nd, 2018 at 5:43 PM ^
The Farmers Almanac has the weather as sunny and cool for the Ohio State game.

Yessir.
The play-by-play could have been done by Sarah McLachlan.

The expectations for the defense remain the same as well. Don Brown will still have his unit attacking offenses like the wood-chipper tank with battle ax arms it is.
The visualization of this..

Moved from fear to outright stating OSU is the underdog. S&P has us a slight favorite in Columbus now too.
October 22nd, 2018 at 3:45 PM ^
Some great lines in there, as usual. My favorites:
The play-by-play could have been done by Sarah McLachlan.

If this is how Michigan treats its little brother, then this is one messed up family.
October 22nd, 2018 at 3:59 PM ^
Wait till they see what we do to the older creepy cousin.
October 22nd, 2018 at 4:13 PM ^
Hey forgot to post in the Sat morning psycho column (I hate trying to comment on when on the phone), but I enjoy them. Keep up the good work!
October 22nd, 2018 at 3:46 PM ^
Wow, the Devon Smith TD against MSU was virtually identical to DPJ's touchdown. That is a little creepy...
October 23rd, 2018 at 9:38 AM ^
Yeah, that is bizarre.

I love it!!!

Gold from Gerdeman:
Michigan held MSU to 15 yards rushing and 79 yards passing. They had just 51 plays on offense. It wasn’t easy to watch. The play-by-play could have been done by Sarah McLachlan.

Did everyone pick this one up?
"As we know, games come down to one single yard quite often. Thanks to the tools and technology we have in football today to precisely measure yardage gained, however, controversial decisions were removed from the sport many years ago."
If it wasn't so funny, I'd be pissed...

I thought this was a quite clever dig. Well done to the writer.
October 22nd, 2018 at 5:01 PM ^
He even dropped in "..with the technology today" so we here would know what he meant. Clever.

Man. When was the last time a sentence like this was typed
The Wolverines are rolling right now while the Buckeyes are reeling. That’s not good math for OSU and something needs to change in the next month if they are going to upset Michigan down the road.

2011.
October 22nd, 2018 at 4:54 PM ^
When was Michigan last favored in Columbus? 2004?
October 22nd, 2018 at 5:34 PM ^
I guess I was thinking in terms of Michigan being a top 5-10 team
October 22nd, 2018 at 3:59 PM ^
wow. Are we sure this is Michigan Monday ?
In the famous words of one douchey Dantronio (a bit altered): Where did the snark go?
Also replacing (he couldn't find DPJ TD? ok) with OSU qb throwing a bomb; more like projecting / wishing OSU can make those plays? (I'm reaching here I know)
So many compliments. Where art thou Gerdeman.

got hit by the choo choo train

So excited for the continued dominance of a fully-weaponized Don Brown Michigan defense.

They got neither, however, as Lewerke completed just 5-of-25 passes for 66 yards. He also only gained three yards on two rushing attempts. As a mobile guy, he needed to be much more involved in the MSU box score.
The reports about the health of Lewerke going into this aside, that MSU did not at least try to break him out now and again (other than on the option play which hed to their sole TD) to get a couple quick yards here and there, was something I couldn't believe. I would want Dave Warner gone too, were I in their shoes.
October 22nd, 2018 at 5:01 PM ^
Oh I'm really hoping Mike Dantoni is very stubborn and does not make any staff changes
October 22nd, 2018 at 4:51 PM ^
The best part about the piece is that it's been up for a couple hours and has zero comments. Freakin' glorious.
October 22nd, 2018 at 5:12 PM ^
That was a well executed respect for Michigan and disrepek for MSU. Well done. He does take a few jabs at Michigan for "technology helping with accurate placement of the ball", remark from 2007 and if we can handle it. I wouldn't expect any less from a buckeye, but he definitely shows respect. Can't wait for The Game, but I am sure he doesn't :)
October 22nd, 2018 at 9:39 PM ^
O..M..G.. did it PAIN Gerd to write that column!
clever snark throughout, but almost openly hoping for Devin Bush to be injured, not cool Gerd...
October 23rd, 2018 at 7:03 AM ^
People keep saying this, but it's not like he's being forced to write about Michigan every week. I don't think he minds it.

SECfans has a predictive model (had us creaming Wisconsin) which predicts we win 37-17 If game was played today.
I like that
