10/14/2018 - 10:04pm All through Hate Week, I…

All through Hate Week, I will be watching 300. Not because of the glory of the spartans, but because the movie end with all the sparties dead. They lost. Love that movie.

10/09/2018 - 4:14pm Good to know. Thanks.

Good to know. Thanks.

It was easy, as I'd already checked there before I posted this, but thanks dude.

10/09/2018 - 11:34am Ace - I have appreciated…

Ace - I have appreciated your work and perspective. It honestly broke me down a bit last night as I watched your video. I would also like to donate to help you, however gofundme and other similar organizations take a cut. If there is a way I can help you directly, let me know. I have to believe Brian has a way to track me down via my info from HTTV purchases. Godspeed.

09/03/2018 - 8:51pm Agree with pretty much…

Agree with pretty much everything you've laid out. I think we forget you can't just snap your fingers and say 'we're back'. The B1G is at a peak none if us has seen and has some of the best teams in the nation in our division. The revolving qb door doesn't make it any easier, amd Warde's management of the football schedule has been far worse than the teams worst loss. Good few weeks should calm the masses...I hope. I also hope it provides a time for resolve for the team.

09/03/2018 - 8:20pm Tony is spot on.

Tony is spot on.

Off-topic to the OP, I think...couldn't stay focused past the second line, so I can't be sure. Any MGoEdit creators have a touchdown Jesus with his hands making the block M? That would be superb post-victory trash talk. Go Blue!

08/21/2018 - 12:50pm ...and all those who believe…

...and all those who believe said, 'AMEN'!  Man, love this young man's heart. He has such a mature perspective and will be a great leader wherever he chooses to go.

08/14/2018 - 10:05am Good point. Sad that it is…

Good point. Sad that it is true. No coach should ever be so important that what is right is swept aside. These are grown men that are in a position to lead the very youngest adult males through some of their most influential years.

08/07/2018 - 12:15pm Quick and comfortable…

Quick and comfortable healing Coach! I continue to be in awe of you - beating up on sparty with half your heart function...well done!

08/02/2018 - 4:27pm Still need to get me a tee…

Still need to get me a tee-shirt! Humorous homage to our great states brewing culture! No tee-pee needed...heh heh

08/02/2018 - 3:21pm It's a thin line, but when…

It's a thin line, but when you consider the AD hasn't changed but he has presided of two football coaches that seemingly ran things behind closed doors, the argument of LOIC at least has some grounds for discussion. I think the NCAA is a feckless giant driven by old boys' money. They won't pick on a giant for something like LOIC. Heck, even Baylor was skimmed over for that. Only one school faced the harshest penalty and it hasn't been threatened since. How involved in Nassar has the NCAA been? I think that is the benchmark for OSU.

08/01/2018 - 4:34pm Schiano is on staff and has…

Schiano is on staff and has head coaching (ahem) experience. My guess is if Urbs is out indefinitely or otherwise, he'd be the fill-in for the season.

08/01/2018 - 4:29pm Current staffer fills in,…

Current staffer fills in, Belichick leaves (and Brady leaves), but TB12 wouldn't do us like that. He might sign with the Bears and do the Lions for a few years before retiring though...

08/01/2018 - 3:23pm Don't be all doom and gloom…

Don't be all doom and gloom...Belichick wouldn't get hired until after the season ended.

08/01/2018 - 3:16pm This is exactly the scenario…

This is exactly the scenario that was played out in the sparty discussions. The lack of respekt sparty gets nationally plus their entire BoT protecting the knobs they slobber on is very different from a nationally prominent program like ohio, Michigan, et al. That said, I do believe there is a line of demarcation where an institution of prominence then gets a hall pass where a lesser institution will get the death penalty (see Penn St and SMU)

08/01/2018 - 3:06pm ...are the higher ups in…

...are the higher ups in ohio as incestuous with their athletic programs as those in East Lanstucky? (no offense to Kentucky)

08/01/2018 - 2:59pm I'd think the staffers and…

I'd think the staffers and former staffers would line up as victims of intimidation by Urbs, and roll on him - politely and with regret. That would be the 'professional' way to exit that scenario with your professional livelihood intact.

08/01/2018 - 2:41pm If this indeed is what…

If this indeed is what unfolds, I am grealy conflicted. First, if allegations are true, he is the scum we think he is and deserves to be fired. Second, I would have to give props to ohio for treating the situation correctly, regardless of past transgressions. Lastly, as a lifelong Michigan fan, I would have much preferred it to see Urban's job come to an end at the hands of six straight beatdowns at the hands of The Team, The Team, The Team, led by Coach Harbaugh.

07/20/2018 - 12:14pm I DVR it and FF through the…

I DVR it and FF through the commercials as well as some of the long, flat portions of a given stage. The mountains are about the only time I watch an entire stage.

07/20/2018 - 12:12pm The only way I'd make that…

The only way I'd make that wattage is to burn a bulb along with my effort. That said, check out Haute Route. It's a fondo style event that hits several different routes/locales. They have an Alpe D'Huez event as well as hitting the Pyrenees, Dolomites, and Mt. Ventoux.

Banging a little MGoTandem with the wife this weekend, not necessarily in that order.... Any MGBloggers doing the Holland Hundred?

I think it is now socially acceptable to date yourself.

Loved Man on Fire. Love most of Denzel's work, but that one stands out to me.

Then there's Gene Keady - bad dye job AND the combover.

05/21/2018 - 12:16pm O Line. If any player or

O Line. If any player or position group deserves a breakout season, it is the O Line. Nobody likes looking behind them to see the guy thay are protecting compleely pancaked. For whomever makes up the O Line this season, I hope they have a great season and surpass expectations.

05/21/2018 - 12:11pm My Top 3

1 - Passion of the Christ - I was fortunate enough to have toured Israel and walked the Via Dolorosa. As a follower of Christ, that was a profound experience, even as an 18 year old. the movie is just a well done, very real reminder.

2 - Shawshank Redemption - great writing/story-telling. The fact that when I land on it when flipping channels and can't turn past it is reason enough to make my top 3.

3 - The Matrix - groundbreaking effects at the time. Cool story, and Keanu says, 'whoa'.

Ask me tomorrow...my mood will probably generate a different the top three.

05/15/2018 - 12:23pm Biggest gripe...for all the

Biggest gripe...for all the technology-forward functionality in today's new cars, OEM's lack the conscience, and NHSTA has yet to mandate the disabling of cell phones for the driver, save for actual use of the phone function via hands-free. There are aftermarket devices that one can plug into a vehicle's OBD port, so it surprises me that no entity has stepped up to that plate yet. My commute is 12-13 minutes of highway driving and 5 minutes of secondary road driving each way. I see people every day staring at their screens. This is my biggest car gripe.

05/09/2018 - 2:43pm That and Craigslist personals

That and Craigslist personals due to their links to human trafficking.  Try the dark web maybe?

05/03/2018 - 12:51pm What a punk.

What a punk.

04/25/2018 - 1:43pm So long as the end result creates a better institution,

I am okay with this dumpster fire dragging on for a few more years. The impact on recruiting and ensuing screeches from their fanbase would be entertaining. Alas, I am for the victims and really prefer to see this whole affair handled efficiently and with some grace.

04/13/2018 - 12:45pm To paraphrase using a food

To paraphrase using a food metaphor, Engler passes on a mistake like he passes on Golden Corral...

04/09/2018 - 11:21am I had to pause it when Chase

I had to pause it when Chase had me laughing so hard, watching him say 'bearcat grrrr, grrrrr' to their oline. Funny stuff there from Chase. He will be pretty fun to watch again this season!

04/05/2018 - 10:52am I don't really think it's

I don't really think it's fear of being yelled at by Izzo or Dantonio. I think it's fear of political retribution for those above the two, starting with BOT and others with heavy financial influence in the area.

03/23/2018 - 12:30pm I don't believe flip phones

I don't believe flip phones support emojis yet.

02/23/2018 - 1:25pm D

Emmert/NCAA will be implicated as having knowledge and looking the other way, step down amid new amid overt shame. The remaining leadership in the feckless organization will fail to do anything until a new pres is appointed. Former Gov. John Engler will step in as the new NCAA pres and bring his molly maids with him.

Probably hiding his Oldsmobile in there...

02/14/2018 - 10:21am Sorry Guv'nah...

To me, spartans show 'their will' by wearing a head cover and no gloves and sweep it up like it's their job. FU

02/02/2018 - 4:14pm Well said Contra.

Well said Contra. Unfortunately this happens far more than people imagine. Thank you for sharing.

02/02/2018 - 4:11pm As a believer (and I know

As a believer (and I know many who aren't and that's fine), I can say that even people as broken as Nassar deserve redemption. I hope all his victims - those known and unknown - grow to a place where they can forgive him because then they will be in a very, very good place within themselves, and stronger than they likely thought they could be.

I have three of the most important women in my life with experience being abused in very different ways. I used to think the same as you. I grew to a place where I could forgive one of them face to face. That man was my best friend when we were young, and it took me some 35 years to get to a place where I was strong enough to forgive him. I am much better for it, but to see him visibly change when I offered it to him was even more powerful than I can put into words. I SAW him heal.

I am a believer, and I know not everyone believes what I believe. As the OP shared a persepctive, I am sharing one as well. Nobody deserves Hell, unless they are never willing to accept they can be redeemed.

...and to the OP - well said.

01/31/2018 - 3:23pm Born and raised in Michigan,

Born and raised in Michigan, and honestly, as a child I was attracted to the winged helmet and uniforms (and the excellence on the field). In my teen years, I attended Interlochen for All-State band camps that were supported by University Music Department faculty and students. I was already a fan, but that was as close as I would ever get to being a collegiate student at Michigan, but it was close enough for me.

01/31/2018 - 9:01am Spot on - they replaced guys

Spot on - they replaced guys trying to find a schtick like Berman with a bunch of blowhard opinions. ESPN hasn't been worth watching since Body Shaping was bumped...now THAT was how to spend a morning. Sportcenter followed by Body shaping. Suddenly, I'm 19 years old again.

01/30/2018 - 3:46pm While disappointing, I don't

While disappointing, I don't know that I could have any higher expectation for their BoT. they've already proven to be myopic in their everyday function, so why would we expect them to suddenly find the 'do things the right way' button?

01/28/2018 - 10:35am The interview with the

The interview with the parents of the deceased rape victim was tough and compelling. As a dad to a daughter, I have to think there will be some loud voices coming forward. Is there a way at to have east lansing annexed back to Lansing? Kind of joking, but...
