You stay classy. The kid is 18 and this is how you respond to his decision?

Oh, one of your 99 problems.

Go back to MLive. They're OK with middle-schoolers commenting over there.
January 4th, 2013 at 8:44 PM ^
MGoBlog isn't the place for that kind of reaction, and certainly not when it's directed at a guy who was at high school homecoming two and a half months ago. Back to zero until after National Signing Day.
January 4th, 2013 at 11:22 PM ^
So you're the a-hole sitting behind me in the section yelling crap all the time.
I thought I told you this season what I thought of your act.
Again, STFU.

They have 5 stars decommit... so they go and replace them with 5 stars... gosh darnit
January 4th, 2013 at 8:37 PM ^
We have 4 stars decommit, and then we get the same 4 star to recommit. (Conley excluded)

probably the best place for his music interests

Wait! He hasn't signed his letter of intent yet - we're still in this. Everyone stay positive and good things will happen.
January 5th, 2013 at 11:01 AM ^
Speaking of which, have you heard any updates on Demar Dorsey's status?
January 4th, 2013 at 7:26 PM ^
Good luck to him. Can't blow up at every missed recruit
January 4th, 2013 at 7:27 PM ^
No defensive-coordinator, but he might be getting a house with a pretty sweet studio in it.
January 4th, 2013 at 7:29 PM ^
If i'm trying to be a music producer no place can really compete with L.A and New York. Out of those 2 cities You're only going to play competitive college football in L.A.
January 4th, 2013 at 7:39 PM ^
Nashville has just as many qaulity studios and producers and it's not even close to being all country music. Playing at Vanderbilt in the SEC would also expose him to better football than in the Pac-12.
January 4th, 2013 at 7:42 PM ^
isn't KBLOW a radio station in Nashville?
January 4th, 2013 at 7:44 PM ^
If it were in Nashville it would start with a W. East of the Mississippi.

I love our class but we sure dont win many of these high profile TV announcements..I am still salty at Joshua Garnett because he had me legit fooled..Got to get DGreen,Hunt or one of the other OLineman on our short list, and Reon Dawson or if Crawford gets the offer and hope he developes..Id like another DB in this class.
January 5th, 2013 at 1:10 AM ^
Garnett fooled a lot people. He was playing it up for attention after he decided on Stanford. LM3 is different. He seemed to be genuinely trying to pick the right school for himself.
January 4th, 2013 at 7:29 PM ^
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
Damnit. Did he not know about JDK & Rey? They said he's into the music biz.
Would've been sweet to be 'Quay, Rey & JDK".

Please, please no talk about A2 food. I was just getting over my Zingerman's craving, and there you go talking about reubens.

no one should be surprised. Well, maybe a little surprised he chose USC over FSU, but whatever. Good luck to him.

January 4th, 2013 at 7:31 PM ^
Sincerely. He's serious about the music thing so going to LA is a great move for him. Many more opportunities to make connections there. I don't know anything about USC's music school specifically, but I'm sure it's good as well. My only advice to him would be -- make sure you clear anything you do music-wise with the NCAA first because I can definitely see the potential for some NCAA no-nos.
Football wise he's going to a powerhouse with scholarship reductions. If he's one of the lucky ones to get that scholarship he's going to have a pretty great shot at PT. Probably the best choice for "Leon McQuay," although all other prospects are definitely better off at Michigan.
January 4th, 2013 at 7:40 PM ^
I hate to say this--but this post, like many others, just really creeped me out. You didn't date Leon McQuay. You do not know him at all. This post sounds like your girfriend broke up with you and all you want is for her to be happy (even if it's with someone else). Can we stop this? PLEASE? NONE OF US KNOW HIM!!!
January 4th, 2013 at 8:58 PM ^
January 4th, 2013 at 9:40 PM ^
In all honesty, it sounded like he was just wishing the kid luck and typing out on why it made sense for him to go there. If anyone sounds like they're writing a post to their ex-girlfriend, it's you. Why are you so obsessed with what other people type on here regarding a recruits decision?
As far as "none of us know him!!!" Really? Because thise board gossips about a plethora of Michigan players that I'm sure 99% of the people on here don't know personally. So should we stop talking about Gibbons liking brunettes, or Denard's dillithium, ect. ect. because none of us know them? Come on know. Your post just sounds like sour grapes.
January 5th, 2013 at 6:24 AM ^
I hate to say this, but if that post creeped you out, then maybe MGoBlog isn't the place for you.

That announcement was weird. They put him on stage, they asked his dad a question, they asked him a question, then Luginball talked for like a minute while McQuay was still on stage. I think McQuay's mom told him to just smile. He looked happy about committing, but underwhelmed by the announcement experience.
January 4th, 2013 at 7:49 PM ^
i saw that too... it also looked like his dad was a little disappointed too. oh well
January 4th, 2013 at 7:34 PM ^
maybe if there were even more hipsters with guitars on campus AA would be a bigger draw for music majors
January 4th, 2013 at 7:34 PM ^
Not sure why people are surprised, wasn't USC supposed to be his leader all along except they didn't have room for him? When Redfield decommitted that opened the door for McQuay.
January 4th, 2013 at 7:35 PM ^
Kid wants to be a music producer, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was really Vandy and USC all along. And for all the Kiffin being Kiffin, let's face it, you think "Big Time College Football" for only one of those.
Word of advice, kid: watch out for that producer scene in LA. As they say, "It's dog eat dog. It's worse than dog eat dog. It's dog doesn't return other dog's phone calls."
