I just watched the pony

I just watched the pony excess 30 for 30 (highly recommend) I'm now temporarily brainwashed into thinking that as long as ND doesn't send an armored car with thousands of dollars to his home.... We're good

The starters are the same,

The starters are the same, the OR at punter is interesting, especially after o'neill launched that delayed beauty that was downed at the 3

I was talking about playing

I was talking about playing ability, Treadwell has been a beast at Ole Miss since he's been there when healthy.... But yea, Ole Miss's sudden ability to bring in top recruits has smelled fishy

I'm always skeptical of guys

I'm always skeptical of guys who fall down recruiting rankings as time goes (Morris, RJS, LTT) and optimistic about those who climb recruiting rankings as time goes on (Bolden, Todd Gurley, Laquon Treadwell).... Town started out as a potential top recruit in the nation and steadily fell.

I remember his commitment.

I remember his commitment. He said he was coming for the education, and knew how stiff the competition would be. I can understand how watching and not playing and grow frustrating. Best of luck to him.

Seems to be in line with his

Seems to be in line with his scouting reports, a good player who lacks athleticism and is taller than most other human beings on the planet

Rivals has him in the class

Rivals has him in the class of 2017.  Lists him at 6'4 200lbs.  Yes, please.

Although it seems weird, with

Although it seems weird, with how basketball players compete nationally at such a young age it is not outrageous to rank basketball players at young ages.  Rankings are usually based on skill level over physical traits.  Per usual, the rankings should be taken with grains of salt.  I remember Damon Harges being the number one ranked 6th grader in the nation a few years back.  Now as a high school freshman he has thus far gotten fars from small D1 programs, while some of his peers have received big program interest.

That could work out well,

That could work out well, make Durkin Co-DC & ST Coordinator, while Mattison is Co-DC and overlooking either the DL or LBs. In Harbaugh we trust.

The overall team speed of OSU

The overall team speed of OSU is ridiculous. It isn't just the skill position guys on offense, but the closing speed of their defenders is nuts. When Jones gets some time he is a pretty solid passer. He's a load to bring down, looked like a poor man's Cam Newton to me.

Another recruiting find by

Another recruiting find by Beilein. I don't remember what schools were Dawkins, but there weren't many notables. Kid is a pretty good athlete and caught fire. Oh yeah. Harbaugh.

This is what I was going to

This is what I was going to say. Tulsa, much like Houston, is a great program for an up-and-comer to prove himself. I think Montgomery will be able to win a lot of games and move on to a power 5 program in 3 years.

Anyone think Schiano should

Anyone think Schiano should just stay in the NFL as a DC, then work his way back up?

If he has fallen that out of favor with the NFL guys then he should just take any D1 head coach position and prove he still has it. A lot like Petrino did.

FWIW, their number one

FWIW, their number one player, Dylan Moses, barely saw any playing time his freshman year due to upperclassmen and injuries. Just goes to show the weakness of these rankings thus far.

Goes to the same high school

Goes to the same high school as Joshua Ross. Another person to be in his year along with James.

Alex Kozan.. he ended up

Alex Kozan.. he ended up going to Auburn and was a starter for them this season.  Looks like he made a good decision.

I hate to say it you guys....

I hate to say it you guys.... but why the heck does anyone care as long as they are all in by the end of the day?

While we're discussing the

While we're discussing the OL.. anyone want to throw i their projected OL?

Mine is Magnusson-Bosch-Glasgow-Kalis-Braden

They should, the man is

They should, the man is overdue for a head coach job and Louisville is a solid one, better than the Uconn job he turned down.  I see this one going to Petrino though.  WKU has apparently already interviewed his OC as a replacement.

Pretty sure Bars projects to

Pretty sure Bars projects to RT.  His dad played for the Irish anyway, don't think he's flipping.

Bigger hire than the

Bigger hire than the previously rumored Lembo, good for Uconn.  Diaco could be a good one.

Boise's OC during the Kellen

Boise's OC during the Kellen Moore years, spent a couple of years at Texas as co-OC with Applewhite and this past season as head coach of Arkansas State.  Arkansas State is the big loser here, Harin is the 3rd guy in a row (Freeze & Malzahn before him) to leave after 1 season.  I guess to get the best candidate possible they can market the position as a platform for better jobs.

Word is that another new

Word is that another new contract with a pay raise has been sitting on Saban's desk since last Friday and Bama officials are starting to get uneasy.  To further speculate, I thnik Smary takes over if Saban bolts, keeping pretty much the entire recruiting class intact.

In that case, I think it's

In that case, I think it's the perfect time for him to become the RB coach here.  Jackson has had a long, much appreciated career here, but it is time to move on.  Hart would also be the perfect coach for the power backs Michigan has been bringing in.

After they beat us in that

After they beat us in that one they were named Nat'l Champs... they may have been something at stake playing spoiler...

From the looks of it McDowell

From the looks of it McDowell is the only guy in the top 250 left that we are after and he appears to be far from a sure thing.  Would be nice to reel him in though because this will be the lowest rated class Hoke has had to himself here, well according to rivals.

This Williams kid has some

This Williams kid has some size to him, could have potential.  This Hand decision is going to hurt for a long time though.

I don't think you can even

I don't think you can even compare the two.  Will Campbell was ridiculously strong for a high school kid, and this was spotlighted in camps.  His high school game production never matched his camp results.

Da'shawn Hand was creating havoc as a triple teamed defensive tackle.  I don't expect to see Hand decommit, only to recommit, and dance around on national tv either.  There are no guarantees in sports, but Hand's floor is all-B1G.  Write it in pen.

Hmmm as always I trust the

Hmmm as always I trust the coaches, but it just seemed like this staff has been looking for taller guys to play safety while Kinnel is more T. Gordon sized.  If tht 4.4 reported on 247 is legit though... then Mr. Kinnel come on down!!

Word on the street is that

Word on the street is that Curtis Samuel will being committing to Ohio and it could as soon as tomorrow, he's more of a Dontre Wilson type, but nonetheless a pretty darn good consolation prize.

Morris
Toussaint, Green,

Morris

Toussaint, Green, Rawls, Hayes, Johnson, Smith redshirts

Kerridge, Houma, Shallman... but I don't mthink Shallman is purely a FB

Braden without a doubt

Miller to start the year, but if he struggles they'll give Glasgow a shot..... and I think if they both struggle and Kugler is playign well in practice they give the job to him

Heitzman, and I actually think he'll be pretty solid there

Morgan

Beyer, but it'll be more of a platoon

Taylor

Wile

One thing I'm surprised

One thing I'm surprised hasn't been mentioned is the center battle, and after this small smaple of evidence I must say that I don't think Graham Glasgow is forcing his way into the competition, it's more like Jack Miller is letting him.  Neither particularly impressed me and I might even give the nod to Glasgow because he's bigger.

Les doesn't just offer

Les doesn't just offer committed kids for his own health, he saw something in this kid.  I actually like this commitment.  I really do think that Michigan greats deserve a bone thrown their way and have one of their sons offered a scholly here.  Here's your bone Johnny.  Jared and Winovich will battle for the SAM job, unless that is certainly where McCray ends up.

Gedeon's weight should

Gedeon's weight should guarantee him seeing the field this fall, special teams at the very least.

Clark is huge for a WDE.. and I love it.

I love the sizes of Green, Smith, and Johnson.  Hopefully all the weight Green has put on is good weight,

Magnusson seems to be a bit slow putting on the weight, he may not be the LT of the future after all.

Interesting list, I'm

Interesting list, I'm surprised they have Bushel-Beatty so high.  The kid is huge, but he isn't near the athlete of Mason Cole.  JBB has the potential to be a good B1G starter, while Cole has all conference potential.  They also have Harris a bit lower than everyone else, but I know Luginbill has stated in the past the importance they place on DEs, QBs, and OTs over all other positions.

I just.... don't understand.

I just.... don't understand.  I guess we are just going to stay trapped in that fringe playoff team bubble.

Just some thoughts as I was

Just some thoughts as I was looking through this.....

I love the size of running backs with Green, Smith, D.Johnson, and Rawls.  If Hayes assumes the V.Smith role he's at a good size himself.  Lewis is tiny, please redshirt him.  I'm still surprised by the weights of Ross, Jenkins-Stone, and Morgan... maybe they aren't updated?  Also, I feel like Bars and Magnusson should have both put more weight on by now, are these guys going to get lost in the shuffle??

The B1G takes it a step

The B1G takes it a step further, although you only sit out the typical one year... you have to pay your own way if you transfer within the conference.

Does he project to LT?  Also,

Does he project to LT?  Also, is anyone else just a little concerned about the future at LT?  After the poor reviews of Magnusson thus far and the boom/bust potential of LTT, I'm wondering who will even play the position in 2014.

Don't forget the possibility

Don't forget the possibility of someone earning camp offer and committing on the spot, just like Channing Stribling.  I could see our 3rd receiver or OL spot getting filled that way.

As a graduate he would be

As a graduate he would be immediately eligible, BUT this seems to be a moot point with him already choosing Akron....

A quick look at Hirschman's

A quick look at Hirschman's rivals page showed that he's a 2010 kid who enrolled early.  That would mean he has 2 years of eligibility left.  I would actually love that.  That way Shane can really take his time and if Gardner were to leave after this season he'd be here to push Shane.

I definitely think a prospect

I definitely think a prospect none of us have even heard of yet ends up signing with us, for no other reason than it happens every year.  It is an interesting year though with few spots available and so many blue chip guys interested in us.  I wonder hwere the balance is between taking a commitment from a player and waiting for a player far superior to him (if there is one).  Props to the coaches, because it's a position I wouldn't want to be in.  Comments on your list...... I don't think Winovich is coming here.  Also, Nicholson is a decent bet, but he seems to be taking the process to slowly to land a spot.  I think Juju Smith will end up signing with us.

Those guys are good examples

Those guys are good examples of JUCO gems, but they were also recruited, wanted, and signed LOIs on signing day, they didn't transfer in after spring practice due to need.

Does this make Denard their

Does this make Denard their best QB?

Meh, according to the 247

Meh, according to the 247 composite Weishar is the worst of the 3 who dropped today.  I'm still secretly hoping that Bunting's commitment sets off a chain of guys committing who already have their finger on the trigger (Ways, Westphal)

I also wish he could have

I also wish he could have another year with Hoke/Mattison... but it is what it is.  I also think he can have a solid pro career, but he really needs the right situation.

I'm clearly out of the loop,

I'm clearly out of the loop, I thought he really liked us
