I would not be unhappy if every one of these besides #5 & #6 exceed my expectations!

My 14 y/o son also "enjoyed" his first 2-a-day practice today. When my oldest boy was a freshman, it was in the 90s for most of camp. The kids are having it "easy" this year!

Any true Michigan fan has to be thrilled with the seasons that both teams had. Football and MBB are the money sports in college and we were fortunate to watch 2 very good teams this year. That being said, for a greater number of fans overall, football is, always has been and will remain king. I'll take any and all sporting titles our school can earn, but the football wins are my favorites.

Team 132 and Coach Hoke point the way to a tremendous future with Michigan football, ferGodsakes.

That is a pretty sweet card.

I was reading the thread and couldn't believe no one was mentioning Vlady. Agreed 100% with Charlie, Konstantinov was hated and feared among the NHL. As a Wings fan, I naturally loved the way he played. A great career cut way too short.

turn around for the defense this year. Brady Hoke is the real deal, but the job done by Greg Mattison is bordering on legendary. Before the season, virtually everyone was saying how pleased they would be if we improved into the 50's nationally for defensive rankings. These numbers show our expectations weren't high enough to match up with the coaching jobs performed this year and the heart of the player's on this team. While this isn't one of the best teams to suit up all time at Michigan, true fans should recognize the outstanding legacy of this squad.

They were playing really well during the 3rd period, which was nice to see.

Pro sports fans in the state of Michigan have seen the good, the bad and the ugly. We watched Matt Millen take a mediocore franchise and turn it into a laughingstock. We watched the Pistons go from a major contender to somewhat of a joke. The Tigers have been nearly to the top and down at the very bottom as well. Yet, we've also watched the Red Wings play at a dominant level for nearly two decades.

But....I really want to see Will Campbell wreak some havoc.

Global warming is a myth, just like Spary's belief they will remain relevant in college football.

The impact of hiring Mattison may take us 3 to 4 years to realize. His recruiting prowess could make this defense nasty good. This year, I'd take a 7-9 win season happily, as long as we see progress on the defensive side and not too much regression on offense...maybe even an offense that can move the ball consistently against upper echelon teams. If those things start happening, it's most certainly a strong possibility the recruiting starts picking up and we see the top tier recruiting numbers we are used to seeing from Michigan.
|3 years 37 weeks ago||Hokeful Predictions||
OFFENSE: Denard puts up similar total yards, but with more through the air. The receivers put up big numbers in several games. The running backs bring us back to respectability busting through the big holes opened by our line.
FRESHMEN: We are able to red-shirt around 15 of them and let them develop like in the old days.
DEFENSE: Prediction? Prediction?
|3 years 38 weeks ago||S&C Staff....||
can show what they're made of with a kid like this. Lot's of potential and needs to work with that staff to become another o-line stud for Michigan.

and knowing defensive assignments would be so refreshing. I think most of us really miss the old days when the M defense was scary for opponents....hope we're back there soon!

up nicely. Fill a couple more holes and grab a few more decent recruits and get ready for some fun next fall.
