Wake Up! It’s game day. What are your plans?

I’ve had a pretty rough last few weeks at work, so this is going to be my day of zen. My wife, my kids and I are going to make wings and then do nothing but watch football all day. Today, Al Bundy will be my idol.

Well, I’m going to bed now. Alarm’s set for 11:52am and my Peacock purchase was begrudgingly completed today.

Fall Saturdays are for college football and college football only.

Let this be the start of the season that matches 97.

Sunscreen followed by water! Ones evening can be rough if either of those are neglected. My 6 hour shift of greeting our guests from Greenville commences soon. Go Blue!

Create an account and pay the $5.99 fee by credit card.  Watch the game on your computer.  I would think you can access this website from anywhere in the world with an Internet connection.

I downloaded the Peacock app on my Roku so I will be streaming on my television.  My AppleTV units are 3rd generation so they are not capable of downloading apps from the App Store.  Need 4th or 5th gen to do that.

I'm going to listen to a radio feed of the game. I'll be damned if I'm going to pay for peacock just to watch a blow-out out-of-conference game.

I'm old enough to remember when radio was the only way to follow a lot of games live, and at least now I will be able to watch replays of key plays or the whole game later on if I want.

Headed to the game with my son -- first time in ?? years and first for my son.  Think we'll hang around Ann Arbor for an hour or so after the game to let the traffic thin out a bit before heading home.

Wondering if anyone can advise on best bets for free/cheap parking.  Is street parking allowed and available on game days in the area south of Washtenaw on either side of US-23?  Or in the residential neighborhoods near the Trader Joe's near Stadium and Washtenaw?  Or where to park when using TheRide (thinking East Shuttle location may be the best)?

If you go by I94 and exit 175 (Ann Arbor Saline Road), there is a “Wholefood” (the whole thing is Cranbrook Shopping area?), you can park for free. You will need to walk about a mile. There is also the Lawton Elementary School area where you can park on the street, probably less distance to the Stadium.

Weather is very good today.

Good luck.

My daughter dropped off a jar of her (cowboy jalapeños) yesterday which are the equivalent of eating a scud missile. Of course I ate half the jar. My morning is going to consist of being in a cold sweat, making a deal with god and launching myself off the shitter. At 50 you’d think I’d learn.

Brisket comes off the smoker in a couple of hours.  Hosting 3 ECU alumni at my place. I have found most of the ECU people in my life tend to be my kind of people for whatever reason.  Not close friends but good friends nonetheless.  No one coming over has Peacock (and why would you except to watch a game or two) so it makes sense to have watch party. I used the Horror as bait.  Heavily favored Michigan team vs an NC team that they have never played before on a brand new network… “anything can happen”

I have a variety of BBA stouts and a bunch of midwestern dank IPAs and some beer flavored beer.  I will probably not drink because it hurts when I do.  I’m now one of the olds.

Will be serving cruditès, charcuterie, disappearing dip, beans and slaw as sides.  I have a lot of work to do before they start arriving in 4 hours so I should probably get out of bed.

Heading back to MI this morning to see family (including brand new nephew just born Thursday).  Probably will watch UM on phone with Peacock.

Pancake breakfast with Zingerman's bacon.  Walk to the game.  Grill steaks afterward while watching the later games.  My idea of a perfect football Saturday, even though there aren't many good matchups.  Perhaps there will be an upset in one of the later games.

We will get a nice walk in this morning-starting at 0900. The temp will be 90 by noon and 100 by 2PM. Will only play 9 holes...or maybe 12 :) It is 64 right now...I see it is 55 in AA with a high of 83-must be nice.

My soon-to-be non sports enjoying ex-friends, had the great idea to have their wedding on a holiday weekend, in a resort town on the other side of the island, during the hottest time of the year, at the warmest time of the day (102° with the heat index and sustained 25 MPH winds)!

One of my closest friends, who has been watching and regularly attending Michigan games with me for nearly 25 years, has planned his engagement party at founders. His brother, cousin, and myself will be watching the game and ignoring said party…
